Some of us have been snowed in, some of us have been knocked down by winter viruses for more days than they would wish and others are just waiting for Fernando Torres to shine a light on their season. I confess, all those three are me so enough of the pity party as we’ve got one final fixture to close out gameweek sixteen.

The news that Fernando Torres wife has gone into labour (oh god, not that old chestnut again!) will cause many, myself included, to kick up a storm as Ryan Babel comes in to replace the Spanish maestro this evening. Some end to the gameweek. Teams in full are…

Liverpool XI: Reina; Johnson, Skrtel, Kyrgiakos, Konchesky; Kuyt, Meireles, Lucas, Maxi; Babel, Ngog

Villa XI: Friedel; L. Young,Dunne, Collins, Warnock; Albrighton, Clark, Hogg, Downing; Ireland; Agbonlahor

As always the Dugout Discussion is open late night today as we see what Houllier can do on his first return to Anfield.

    Drogba to Torres this week?

Or Bosingwa to Kyrgiakos and let Drogba have a run at Spurs's shaky back four before getting him out?

Anyone else thinking of getting in Baines this week? I'm tempted to get him in for Toure, so I'd be doubling up on Everton defence this week but would then offload Coleman for Samba next week.

It would, but if you can afford the move it makes sense.

I see no reason why Johnson can't go on a little spree like he did at the start of last season.

He's up there with Baines and A Cole for attacking threat. And he seems to shoot more than either. That said, I'd go Baines if I didn't already have Coleman.

          it's either johnson (new)
or cahill (BLA) and 2 free transfers the week after. tempted to wait a week and do it. but yeah johnson is a tempter if you have the cash. he's probably the most likely scorer of any full-back in the league

    Foster (Robinson)
    Samba, Huth, Bardsley, (Knight, Kyrgiakos)
    Brunt, Cahill, MGP, Nani, N'Zogbia
