Three Premier League games are served up today, before the heavyweight clash tomorrow night at Old Trafford. We start with two games (both kicking-off at 1.30pm), one at Molineux as Wolves face Birmingham City in a Midlands derby, and the other at the Reebok where the Wanderers will be looking to make it a great sporting weekend for the town of Bolton, as they take on Blackburn Rovers in-front of the Sky cameras.

The team sheets are in from both fixtures, and here is the team news…

Bolton line-up exactly as predicted, with the potent strike-force of Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander heading a 4-4-2. For the visitors, there is just one significant name on the team sheet, or rather omitted from it, as Martin Olsson starts instead of David Dunn, who sits on the bench.

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Lee, Mark Davies, Holden, Petrov, Elmander, Kevin Davies

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Olsson, Emerton, Jones, Pedersen, El-Hadji Diouf, Roberts

As for the derby, and neither Kevin Doyle nor Matt Jarvis shook off injuries to feature in any capacity today. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Stephen Hunt come in. Liam Ridgewell and Craig Gardner don’t make the Birmingham starting line-up, with only the latter on the bench. Nikola Zigic and David Murphy get the nod.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Berra, Stearman, Elokobi, Foley, Edwards, Milijas, Ward, Hunt, Ebanks-Blake

Birmingham XI: Foster, Carr, Johnson, Dann, Murphy, Larsson, Bowyer, Ferguson, Fahey, Jerome, Zigic

Then it’s down to the capital where a buoyant Spurs play the faltering champions Chelsea at 4pm. The visitors will be desperate to reach the league summit once more, and the hosts will be eager to close the gap to fourth after tasting, and liking, Champions League football.

To keep track of and to join in the discussion of all the day’s action, head to our chatroom which is available right here.

What is with all the Tottenahm loving on Sky Sports, its not like they are top of the league! And judging by where Inter are in Seria A its not like they beat an amazing side there either.

I just hate how teams like City get criticized for not scoring enough goals but are still joint top. Arsenal get criticized for having an awful defence, but are joint top. And Spurs just get constantly praised, and Redknapp labeled a genuis despite putting Southampton and Portsmouth in financial strife.

Maybe they like a club who does not buy their success like Chelsea and City? I am not sure. What I AM sure of though, is that Redknapp does not decide wage levels. At least not at Spurs.

Marko Aruntovic ripped their defence apart last week, I don't see Richard keys jizzing all over him the way he does Bale.

Wait and see on Tevez news. Il def be selling Drogba. Dont know for who yet. I have Jarvis, Simpson, Elmander and Drogba il need to be cutting in the coming weeks aswell.

Form, Fixtures and now not guaranteed to start, also Frank will be back on pens mean selling Drogba is a good move.

No doubt Drogba will start scoring again next week.

Because they are unnecessary. Keeping a warm neck should not be an issue for a footballer running about, whether it's Premier League or Sunday league.

I could excuse goalkeepers because they don't move much, but not out-field players.

Gloves are fine in my book because the extremities can get cold even when running about.

That's the best explanation I've had this far at least.

But still, is banning them not taking it a bit too far? Maybe some players are just cold. I highly doubt that they actually hamper the players wearing them.

Very good, probably why Man U sold him in the end.

Niiiice. This week kolarov/tevez suspended. I try and correct my worst trsfr this season(A Cole) by gettig Kyrgiakos and I won't be surprised if the Greek pays the price for the loss vs NewC and gets axed.

Next week Tevez probably M.I.A. and Adam susp on 5 yellows. What next?

Blackpool vs Spurs snowed out will be a welcome relieve.

Please Gareth Bale don't your wanky FPL performance thing today, allowing the likes of Defoe to get a bloody hat-trick.

    Guys,

If I have my sub captain as form factor and 2 players sharing the same points so which one will prevail ? Based on cost ?

My god what a shambles today is... had high hopes at the start, but Jones, Gammst, Elm and Drogba have completely shat on my face. Drogba on for 10 mins and carded would wrap it all up nicely.

Charlton, at home, needing the three points to go second. Playing Walsall, bottom of the table.

    0-1.

Drogba out? God dammit. I don't have but two rivals ahead of me do and they have good points on their bench. Bloody irritating.

85min: Spurs 4 (all Bale), Chelsea 3 (all Malouda). Drogba comes on.

    89min: Drogba yellow.

    Final whistle goes.

    🙂
