In case you missed it last week, I’m delighted to say that Fantasy Football Scout was nominated for the “Best Niche Website” award over at Soccerlens. A nice little pre-Christmas present.

I’ve recently completed an interview in response to the nomination which you can soak up via this link.

    The bonus points are clearly fixed , they a fukin joke.

    W ham draw away from home., yet because nobody has any of their players they get no points

    Bolton lose , yet two of their most owned players get bonus points . System needs to be scrapped

      Agreed. But everyone who plays knows the drill, it's been the same for the last few years. Fans who watch the game know the players who deserve the BP's rarely get them - I don't rate MGP but have him in for the reason he is fashionable at FPL towers.

      Wouldn't it be just as jammy to pick Tevez as your captain and then due to the weather it ends up that he's one of the few who actually plays?

      Bottom line is that whenever snow comes into it the game becomes a lottery, with or without the emergency captain rule.

      Wow this is one of the most moronic comments i've ever read on this site.

      What if somebody picked Nasri or Torres or Fabregas over Tevez, all pretty logical moves (save for the weather), but they don't play so rightly their captaincy switches to Tevez who does (we hope). In normal circumstances the emergency rule is crap, say if somebody picks a player who is well known to be injured/suspended, out of favour or whatever, but when it is purely down to the weather (an emergency), the rule is perfect.

        By his own admission, Gordon only made one save, albeit a remarkable one. I thought Bardsley was the best Sun def in a match where Bolton had them under considerable pressure.

      OK, at the moment, I'm in a cup match where we're both playing 1-0-1.

      I have Samba and Elmander
      He has Elmo and KDavies

      If City-Everton play, this City fan needs 7+ points from Baines to advance (I assume the rule on draws is fewest number of overall transfers again). This game does my head in at times.

      There's a guy from Blackburn being interview on SSN, who's just been asked if he thinks it's ironic that with all the 3pm fixtures being called off, Blackburn should go ahead and suffer injuries.

      If I worked in TV, I'd teach my reporters what is and isn't ironic.
