Tevez Withdraws City Transfer Request

Carlos Tevez has withdrawn his formal transfer request after “clear the air talks” with Roberto Mancini and the club.

The news comes just hours before Tevez is due to take the field for City against Everton in a game which could see Mancini’s side climb to the summit of the Premier League.

In an official club statement City announce that “Carlos expressed his absolute commitment to the Club and formally withdrew his transfer request.”

A delighted Roberto Mancini went a stage further…

“Carlos is a world class player whose contribution since he joined the Club has been invaluable. I am pleased that we are now able to focus on pure football matters and to be able to look forward to Carlos continuing to play a significant role in the Club’s progress.”

The news comes as a major boost for City and for Fantasy owners of Carlos Tevez. The Argentine will presumably now wear the captain’s armband in tonight’s game.

Expect Tevez to crash back into our Watchlist rankings in tomorrow’s update.

    My h2h opponent has 9, assuming Elohamady is his back up captain he gets 15.

    I'm on 2 with Tevez (c) Kolarov and Coleman to play. So I put myself on a minimum of 10 so need at least an assist from Tevez or a clean sheet and some BPs.

    Could be tight but feel good about it.

    everton have only conceded 2 goals away twice this season, might actually bet on the 1-0 win
