Charlie Adam finally returned to action this weekend and was once again influential in a Blackpool performance at Man City that won them further plaudits.

Having been denied appearances by postponements and a belated one-game ban, Adam is now firmly back on our radar at an opportune time.

The postponed games have created a backlog of Bloomfield Road fixtures that now makes Blackpool players all the more attractive in Fantasy Football terms. With three double gameweeks of home matches coming up (BIR & LIV, wba, SUN & MUN, WHM, eve, AVL & TOT) and favourable opponents such as West Ham at home, Ian Holloway’s men present some alluring options.

Charlie Adam looks to be the number one target to consider amongst Ian Holloway’s assets…

In the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game the Scot has already notched up 77 points this season. As well as having the potential to find the back of the net (3 goals) and set-up teammates (4 assists). With Adam dominating set-plays for the Tangerines, he always carries the promise of potential returns.

Adam is also charged with some serious Bonus Points magnetism and has managed to grab 25 so far this term, the highest in the game with his latest maximum gathered in the defeat to City. Our Members’s OPTA stats clearly show Adam to be amongst the most influential players in the league in terms of “touches” and “passes” and it’s this presence that continues to hoover up the Bonus. There’s no reason why this pull should diminish over the frenzied Blackpool schedule, particularly if Holloway’s side can go on defying the odds and earning points.

Adam’s ownerships has understandably been plummeting in recent weeks and he now has a current FPL coverage of 12.1%. Combine that with a valuation of just £5.4 million and Adam looks like a reliable cut-price choice to compliment your more costly and explosive midfield options.

As the cold snap seems to be momentarily ceasing and Bloomfield Road finally thaws out, now appears to be the ideal time to pick a rested and rejuvenated Charlie Adam; a player who has helped shape Blackpool into this fearlessly entertaining side that everyone has developed such a soft spot for. Certainly, if the current Captain Poll results are any indication, Adam is in big demand as we enter Blackpool’s first double fixture against Birmingham and Liverpool. He currently dominates the poll with 44% of the votes so far.

johnfinlay John swears he'll deliver unbiased Fantasy Premier League tips and news...until Leeds get promoted.

Campbell is bound to score against Birmingham, his old club. Varney is shocking, really is a miracle how he scored this season, basically a league one striker.

Agreed but he gets BP's. I only got him in myself as I was concerned about fielding 11 and at the time thought carroll was out for 4 weeks. Probably wouldnt have done the transfer now. 4 points isnt an awful return though.

Thats about 6.1mil above his actual value

His biggest problem now is that he has no pace and still thinks he is excellent.

Therefore trys to knock it inside and run past people but by the time he gets there he loses possesion.
He was so bad for Milan recently he should have been subbed after coming on for a sub.

It's disgusting to see what's happened to Chamakh, he's done nothing wrong. Played very well for his first EPL season, and has really done almost everything correctly for Arsenal. The guy even went out of his way to cost frugal Wenger nothing, when he played out his contract and then left on a free.

Yet, after all of this, Arsenal fans boo him! Sickening! They are some of the worst fans in the EPL imo. They would rather support "glass" Van Persie and that donkey Bendtner.

imo, Fabs is worth every penny when full fit - he runs the show.

Nasri has been great value for money this season but i will probably upgrade to fabs with the WC.

Nasri - average of 5.5ppg (inc every appearance) - been on top form

Fabs - average of 5.7ppg (inc every appearance) - not hit top form yet

wait for news on Rooney (you might get this before the deadline 2morrow)...

if he's out - maybe do Rooney to Torres to take advantage of the upcoming DGW(s) as i would expect Torres to outscore Rooney over the next 3gws

Otherwise dump Kolorov for a Blackpool/Liverpool Defender - bearing in mind Konchesky looks unlikely to start.

i honestly think that mancini wont go off kolarov after one bad game and he did as well as ur cpt freshcrackers
more likely to do vidic>johnson cos i might get rid of vidic for wildcard

I dont think that Kolorov will be dropped but dont think he has returned enough to warrant keeping him.

Agree that he has great potential from what i have seen.

You wont lose much value on Carrol as you paid 5.9m so Campbell could be a good purchase and is currently a popular one.

    I'm mulling over Albrighton & Foley/Simpson -> Vaughan & Eardley.

It would mean i would have 3 Blackpool plus Konchesky for the coming week.

Worth it? - They both would be free transfers

Anyone reckon it's a daft idea to take a points hit for Konchesky to either a Blackpool defender or a liverpool defender who will def play both games like Skrtel? Already done Yaya to Adam, can't afford G Johnson or Gerrard

Can't afford him by 0.7mill SD, or else I would have probably done it without a second thought. Think I'll just stick with what I've got and avoid a hit. Back line is Simpson, Vidic, Baines and Konchesky. Three of those are at home and neither Liverpool and Blackpool are renowned for clean sheets

    Evening gang. I could really do with some suggestions for my team this week. Fallen off the pace in my mini leagues last couple of GW's. Potential line up;

    Hart (Howard)

    Kolarov/Konch/Rafael (ACole/Samba)

    Nani/VDV/MGP/Ethers/Adam

    Tevez(C)Welbeck/Berbs

Not really sure what to do. I dont trust the Chelsea defence at the mo and was was thinking of doing Cashley>Bardsley and freeing up some cash to upgrade midfield. Any advice please guys?

Won't be easy bringing him in. Carroll won't fund the move. Taking out Rooney after his points haul wouldn't be a terribly good idea.

You wouldn't be able to without making multiple transfers.

No.I remember Evra getting taken off at half time on his debut, will take Kolarov a while to fully adapt to the prem. I think he will be the preferred choice for most games, but when it comes to big games he might get shifted for someone more defensively sound.

By all accounts, Mancini looked like he wanted to take his shoe off & beat him to a pulp with it.

Looks like he's be subject to rotation against pacey opposition.
