Birmingham City seem set to face an unlikely “Treble Gameweek” following the confirmation that their clash at with Everton at Goodison, postponed from Boxing Day, has been rescheduled for February 23.

This would appear to place the fixture in Gameweek 27 – a programme that begins on February 12. Birmingham already have a double fixture in this Gameweek, with two “attractive” home games against Stoke and Newcastle on February 12 and 15 respectively…

The trip to Everton currently depends on Birmingham’s progress in the Carling Cup, should they make it past West Ham to the final, the Goodison clash would move to March 9, handing them a double in Gameweek 29; they are set to face West Brom at St Andrews in this Gameweek. Qualifying for the final will however also mean the postponement of Birmingham’s Gameweek 28 fixture away at Chelsea, giving them a blank on the schedule (so that’d be two doubles sandwiching a missing week). Not the worst one to miss but a situation that needs keeping an eye on.

Fantasy Managers need to stay alert then – while Birmingham have been far from a reliable source of talent, three fixtures in a single Gameweek would surely make their assets irresistible, with Ben Foster and the likes of Scott Dann and Liam Ridgewell looking particularly attractive at the back. Further forward we would need to be wary of rest and rotation – finding an attacking player likely to turn out for all three games would be tricky, but certainly “Bonus darling” Barry Ferguson will be on the Watchlist ahead of Gameweek 27 and perhaps David Bentley, a potential new arrival this week, may also attract some early attention.

We should point out that although the Premier League have confirmed the date of this fixture – the Fantasy Premier League game is yet to place the rescheduled game. A reshuffle of the Gameweeks looks unlikely, although it may well be something the FPL are considering. We will update you via the tweets as soon as confirmation is in place.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Plenty of people would have Foster anyway, just a case of bringing in a Brum def for the triple I would have thought.

I don't have Fabs and I'm not too fussed. Nasri will hopefully suffice.

I wasn't planning on having Foster. I was going to go for: Fabianski/Begovic, but now I think I'll have Foster and pick Djourou in defence for ARS coverage instead along with another Brum defender.

    Current Team

    Foster - Hahnemann
    Kolarov - Evra - Konchesky - Jara - Jagielka
    Nasri - VDV - Nani - Bale - Adam
    Elmander - Carroll - Torres

    WC Team (Predicatble...) 9 changes

    Foster - Begovic
    Djourou - Rafael - Coleman - Bardsley - Jara
    Fabregas - VDV - Nani - Adam - N'Zogbia
    Drogba - RVP - Carroll

Defence in WC team is a risk, also 0 in bank which is a worry encase any problems arise.

Other option is Evra and Nasri/Bale to Djourou and Fabregas. Tempting as I feel Cesc is a must have the coming weeks.

        This is true.

Villa, Man U, Wigan, Blackpool, Fulham, Liverpool have DGW's.

Current team has 5 (Konchesky's place in threat though)

        WC team has 4.

I am thinking long term though, not really a fan of loading up on DGW players.

          - Bardsley - Onuoha - Bramble - Richardson

          - Onohua Bramble Mensah Rico (richardson)

          - First player in the line-up should be Mensah. Onuoha-Mensah-Bramble-Bardsley away, Rico at home.

I forgot that Richardson can play left back, I always think of him as a midfielder. Bardsley's started every game since October, and Richardson played a fair few of those as well, so I'd say Bruce's first choice line up has Bardsley at LB and Richardson in midfield.

He had a three match suspension.

He's served two and also didn't play in the FA cup. Domestic ban.

He's eligible. 100%. I've been watching him closely to try and get him back asap...

my WC team is going to be as follows

    Foster Gordon
    Bramble Dann Kolarov Simpson Coleman
    VDV Nani Fabregas Barton Adam
    Carroll Drogba Tevez/Dzeko

should I play after GW 25 or GW26

Why Kolarov? I have him at the moment, but going to give him the Wolves game to see how he does. 5.7 is too much for a rotarisk defender in my opinion.
Other than that it's pretty strong.

Kolarov is my only doubt, hes in there the now so just left him right now im look at him rafael/alex and bosingwa, need a reasonably priced def from a big team.

I was planning on play WC after GW26 but i need to bring in -

gordon, bramble, dann, coleman, vdv, carroll and drogba

And i can only afford 3 rises with no drops.... what you think?

Well you're playing the same waiting game as me, I have a really good squad picked out yet dont want to play the WC early so have to sweat on the rises.
By the way reasonably priced defender from a big team? Look no further than Dawson.

If Kompany was a defender he would be on 85 pts... not to mention the bonus points he might have received being recognised as a defender within the team... that would place him 4th on the list...
