With the free wildcard window well and truly open, there’s a lot more to ponder this week for us fantasy mangers. If you’ve already succumbed and activated yours, then there is just over an hour to make any final tinkering. If, like me, you have resisted, then the normal ritual applies (or do as I, and close your eyes and pray this week).

Whatever you situation, the Saturday Surgery is here to take you through the deadline…

As always, there are some useful places on the site to visit this morning, particularly if you’re yet to finalise your plans. The Team News section houses all the predicted line-ups for this weekend. Check out the Injuries and Bans page to see how long your fantasy stars are absent for. Last night’s Scout Picks are also worth a gander, with prospective players for this upcoming gameweek highlighted.

Lastly, don’t forgot to consider this week’s Captain’s Poll, which you’ll find on the middle column of the site’s home page. The people have spoken, and at the top this week is Carlos Tevez with a comprehensive 37% of the total votes.

    I don't understand why every one is bricking it about Dzeko? Nobody has him, so if he does well you can bring him in without having already suffered for it. The smart play was always to sit this game out and assess afterwards, with a wilcard still in your pocket.

    I'd be (and I am) much more scared of Tevez, and if I didn't own him, Drogba.

    Blackburn love to capitulate away from home against top four opposition, and I predict 10+ points for Drogzilla today.
