Charlie Adam has submitted an official transfer request to leave Blackpool with reports confirming the news within the last hour.

Adam has been subject to a mass of speculation of late with Liverpool believed to be in poll position for the Scot’s signature having tabled a bit though to be in the region of £4 million. Liverpool’s interest seems likely to have sparked this move from the Blackpool skipper.

This is hugely significant news for Fantasy Managers with Adam nestled in many squads ahead of Blackpool’s double fixture in Gameweek 24. Adam was due to take the field against Man United tomorrow night, having scored in Blackpool’s first fixture in the 2-1 defeat to Sunderland. Adam would now seem very unlikely to see action against United, disappointing the thousands who backed him for the two fixtures.

In the longer term, a possible move to Anfield would also have a huge impact on Adam’s potential as a Fantasy asset. Adam may well have scored his fourth goal of the season against the Black Cats at the weekend but these goals have all come from the penalty spot – he has so far relied on a staggering total of 32 Bonus Points in the FPL to boost his points tally and establish himself as a 21% owned midfielder. It would seem very unlikely that he could maintain his rate of Bonus scoring within a Liverpool lineup alongside the likes of Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Raul Meireles. In addition, Adam would certainly not assume spot-kick duties ahead of Gerrard. That’s presuming of course that Adam would win a regular start in Kenny Dalglish’s side.

Should the move to Liverpool materialise, Fantasy Managers would have to monitor Adam’s prospects very closely in order to assess the effect on his return potential. Right now, a drop in interest and heavy sales would seem a likely outcome.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      sounds good,
to be fair i think all this talk of RVP is a bit over cauitious, if it happens it happens ,but trying to prepare for it mental

after all, he played a back seat role in the world cup, and he was missing for the start of the year

he should be hitting 100% around now

I might consider Drogba and/or Malouda from GW 32 onwards. Until then I'm perfectly happy with the better alternatives out there.

I can see picking Malouda back up -- especially if Nani loses his mojo (or playing time) when Valencia returns. But, barring injury to RVP and Tevez, I don't plan on getting Drogba again. (Plans always change in this game, though.)

Can't see Nani losing game time anytime soon when him and Berba have been their greatest source of creativity goals etc all season but he may move to his unfavoured left sided position but that would seem mad with Nanis form plus he's not gonna just throw Valencia in from the day one.

            simple really syd

You are in the queue in Primark. The girl infront of you doesn't have her purse. You realise you don't have yours either. Your friend at the back of the queue offers to throw her purse to you. You can't queue jump until the purse has been thrown to you. Once the purse has been thrown you can dodge the girl infront and then confront the girl on the desk.

Balls, red arrow with 59, Chelsea players hit us hard, and ironic thing is that most people with a few Chelsea players are probably casuals who haven't looked at the game for a while, probably Malouda (C) since WK10's!

Productive day for me. Invoices sent in, Shutter Island watched and Newcastle 1996-97 created on FIFA. Didn't stop SupermAnderson giving me a hammering though.
Ah being self-employed is a blessing and a curse. So everyone back on the Drogba bus then? And when/if this Luiz chap signs, taking that everyone is fit who do Chelsea fans expect their first choice defensive lineup will be?

TBH, I thought it was the "ridiculousness" of the plot that made the movie as it puts you in the position of the main character- i.e. wondering whether this is paranoia or an actual conspiracy......

I didn't see it coming at all. And when it happened I, like Di Caprio's character, struggled to immediately come to terms with it. It wasn't an "Ahhhh..." sort of twist if you know what I mean.

Then the final few sentences of the film... genius. My brother didn't even pick up on that bit. He thought the lighthouse twist was it.

It was Warren Barton, legendary right back journeyman who we somehow managed to spend £4.5m on from Wimbledon. He wasn't great to be honest.

Oh and I didn't create the players - that would have took ages! I went to the 'creation centre' and looked em all up and stuck them in. Its quite funny as Warren Barton gets called 'Joey Barton' everytime he touches it and the great Les Ferdinand gets called the distinctly less great Anton Ferdinand. 🙂

Oh that'd be interesting if they dont overprice Luiz, seriously considering doubling on Chelsea defenders for my wildcard.

He'll be 6.5 i'm guessing. It's a damn shame Bosingwa won't play again, he's been amazing for me!

I'm not getting carried away by this chelsea performance, Bolton were dire. Sunderland will be the acid test i reckon, especially after what happened at the bridge.

adam, really? he's solid as a rock man. there's a difference between fat and stalky/sturdy. look at rooney for example. people who don't like him always call him fat, but he's got great pace and a tremendous work rate.
