Fulham have this afternoon confirmed the loan signing of Chelseaโ€™s 19-year old French forward Gael Kakuta on a season long loan.

Kakuta has made 5 appearances for Chelsea this season, amassing just 123 minutes of pitch time. His opportunities will surely be more frequent at Craven Cottage however, as Mark Hughes desperately searches for attacking options and goals with Bobby Zamora sidelined, to ease the pressure on converted midfielder Clint Dempsey.

At first glance the move seems of little interest to Fantasy Managers, until you consider that Kakuta, a left-winger or striker, is available in the Fantasy Premier League game as a midfielder and is priced at 5.4.

It remains to be seen if Kakuta can offer any potential as an โ€œout of positionโ€ prospect. We first have to be sure that he can hold down regular starts in Fulhamโ€™s lineup and then also consider his likely impact given that Fulham have possibly the most difficult run-in of any Premier League club.

We also have to assess the effect of his arrival on Fulhamโ€™s existing squad members. You would presume that Damien Duff would immediately come under threat, but much depends on how Hughes looks to utilise Kakutaโ€™s talents. He will be one to simmer under the Watchlist for the time being while we look on from afar.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Ok after saving my wildcard I've actually started to have a look at possible teams.

This is the first one I've come up with. To either use for GW26 or GW27.

    Foster Gordon

    Rafael Coleman Djourou Kelly Samba

    Adam VDV A.Young Cahill Nani

    Tevez RVP Odemwingie.

The Cahill move would depend on when he comes back from the Asian Cup, and this leaves me with enough money to ship Odemwingie out for Berbatov or maybe even Bent.

    Thoughts?

Probably take a "punt" on Walcott for GW27 before Cahill comes back.

Walcott could prove to be a wise choice.

        Seriously considering it.

Rafael is injured from yesterdays game isnt he? Some Arsenal coverage down the middle wouldnt hurt, maybe Nasri if you cant afford Fabs or even Walcott.

I have Nasri already but I think his time is up for me. I know he had quite a few chances the last game, but I don't think I want him anymore.

I kinda forgot about Arsenals awesome GW27, I may consider keeping Nasri for that or getting Walcott. More likely Walcott.

Rafael is injured but by the time I play my wildcard I think he will be back. Sticking with the cheap players from Liverpool/Utd/ARsenal defence and also having Coleman and Samba who are guaranteed starts to cover any possible rotation in the bigger teams.

Yeah it's a good point. I probably should get more. Don't really want to have my team setup just for that gameweek though.

I had 7 doubles this gameweek, that was a nice number without messing my team up too much.

This is why I've posted before hitting the button, so I can get some ideas from you knowledgable lot ๐Ÿ™‚

i loaded it a bit this week to be fair and it worked out well, i like the idea of doing it again lol. i kinda think i'm gearing towards something like

          foster, kingson
hutton, coleman, kelly, ridgewell/r johnson, crainey
          cahill/nolan, brunt, fabs, walcott, vdv
          odem/defoe, rvp , torres.

i could then get 26 players from this providing brum play 3 games, failing that 24 or 23 depending on wether or not i use torres.

I think my draft has ten DGW players in it, but the team I'm putting together isn't just designed to go boom or bust in that one gameweek.

It's meant to be a team to take me through to the end of the season without having to take points hits along the way.

Not yet. Plenty can change between now and GW27. My Wildcard is going to have Chelsea coverage too, but I'm waiting to see what is going to happen with Alex coming back and Bosingwa. Still also deliberating over Cahill as well.

I hear all this Walcott talk, which I dont completely disagree with but do you think he'll get played both games? Thats where I think picking someone like Fabs comes in, he might cost more but he's more likely to see 60 or more mins both games.

            This is the main consideration.

The reason I'm thinking of going for him is I had doubts put in my mind about Berbatov playing both games this week so didn't captain him and look how that turned out ๐Ÿ™‚

The way Walcott has been playing when he's started it might be worth the risk.

Trouble with Walcott is that he has to score to earn points.

He also is likely to be hauled off after about 70 mins.

I think there's a reason why people go for Fabs and why Fabs is more expensive.

He's a feast or famine player. I can see the attraction but I think, unless you are chasing a league leader and need to gamble on a big differential I'd stick with Fabs and van Persie.

    Liverpool v Fulham

While fully aware that one swallow does not a summer make, now looks like the time to side with Liverpool.

Saturday's 3-0 win at Wolves was the Reds' most impressive away performance for some time and should be a much-needed confidence boost to Kenny Dalglish's men.

A further boost for this game is that inspriational skipper Steven Gerrard is back after suspension and frankly they should be too good for a Fulham side who remain poor travellers.

While the Cottagers have enjoyed some improved results of late - four of their last six games in all competitions have been won - don't be fooled into thinking they have suddenly become a force to be reckoned with away from home.

They have still won just a single game outisde of Craven Cottage this season - at Stoke - and plenty of their players will carry some unwanted baggage north for this one.

For this is famously a ground at which Fulham have never, in their 132-year history, won, although more relevant to this match is the fact that since returning to the Premier League, they've scored just two goals here in nine visits, drawing blanks on seven occasions.

With this in mind - and with Fulham having scored just nine times in 11 away games so far in this campaign - a home win to nil begins to look mightily attractive.

Coral will give you a tasty 7/5 about that outcome unfolding and with Liverpool's confidence renewed, we feel there's every chance.

West Ham, a side in a similar position to Fulham, were dispatched here 3-0 last month - the fourth time the Reds have achieved a win to nil in a Premier League match at Anfield this season.

Gerrard's return will aid them here, while Fernando Torres' four goals in his last six games is also further cause for optimism among the Red contingent.

Torres is 5/6 to net at any time in this one, but we feel the better bet is get with the win to nil at an improved price of 7/5.

And for those concerned about Liverpool's defence, we wouldn't put you off backing them in the outright market at 4/7.

I guess the best you can atleast take out of this game if you have Stockdale then is a TON of saves to make up the loss of points due to goals against.

Either way, I'm hoping to get atleast 8 pts from Davies, Hangland and Stockdale so that I can creep over the 100pt mark for the first time this year.

I think West Ham will get to the final.

Hammers are going down so this is really their season. The loss of Scout Dann has cost Birmingham defensively too.

If I didn't have RVP I would to the same.

Currently have Rooney, Torres and RVP. I had been planning to get rid of Rooney or Torres for Odem for the DGW anyway, depending on form. I don't really want to do it now as am planning to spend the net proceeds on Cahill when he gets back.

Random but I think for all people who use this site, if you finish below 50k at the end of the season you haven't done very well at all imo. Many more people having a complete fail season and hovering around the hundred thousand mark? I'm 105k!

Yup, I'm not doing too well but still very confident I'll be in the top 50k come the end of the season. Main thing is team value at this stage imo, us using this site can afford more bigger players than others in our leagues!

            Obviously..

For example though, in my leagues where other people don't have as good team value as me they can only afford 2 expensive players, like Fabregas/Torres, Lampard/Tevez etc.

Whereas us who have higher team values can afford 3, like Fabregas/Torres/Tevez or whatever, and the big players always play to their potentials the second half of the season I've found.

Even with a low team value you can cover your rivals team so I would rather a lead anyway. I know what you mean but your opponent can cheapen his team to cover your big stars.

wouldnt even say that. ive finished in the top 20k the last 3 seasons and i only discovered this site this year. im currently in top 3k so ive improved a good bit this year.

in my opinion anyone outside the top 30/40k that uses this site has failed big time or is making way to many transfers.

Quick question. If i have one available transfer this week, and I play my WC, I'd still only have 1 available transfer the following week, that's obvious.

However, If i have 2 available transfers now and use the WC, would i still have 2 transfers the following week?

im with you jordan , i think its shite, men will always pass comments on women and women on men, you see groups of women on a night out, theyre as sexist as anyone. its part of life, the problem with those two is that they were in the public eye. even if it didn't sound like a joke your not telling me that Andy Gray doesn't understand the training and dedication the girl went through to become a professional ref/linesman/woman. he was being sarchastic. yes its not the best way to make fun of a situation but ppl need to get real and be a bit more honest about life.

If you did what Gray did to a work colleague you could be up for instant dismissal. The comments they made were childish. Keys is a tw*t who quit as clearly there is more to come out on him. They were a pair of power hungry ego maniacs who were tied into huge contracts. They had to go and they made it easy for Sky.

i'd hate to work where you do, My boss(female) makes regular comments about men being hopeless at one thing and another and vice versa, the reality of it is that its taken in fun by everyone, thats how the workplace is for millions of us, unless of course you work with people who are either nippy or just downright prudish.

I like many people made a joke. There was 2 things why I thought the Keys / Gray thing was bad.

      1) It didn't sound like a joke or banter. They sounded pretty serious that she was incapable or doing her job. They may have been joking but it didn't sound like that.

      2) When I make a joke it doesn't go out on national television.
