Window Watch – Liverpool Unveil Carroll And Suarez Signings

While Chelsea have gleefully announced the completion of the Fernando Torres deal, Liverpool themselves have tonight just confirmed deals for both Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.

Liverpool’s makeshift official site, straining under the weight of heavy traffic, has tonight stated that Carroll has signed a five-year-deal at Anfield after passing his medical and will wear the number 9 jersey. The fee has yet to be confirmed but reports suggest a sum of around £35 million.

Suarez meanwhile, has signed a five a half-year-deal in a deal worth 26.5 million Euros. The Uruguayan international has been given the number 7 shirt.

    You have my sympathies, my friend.
    
    If its any consolation, I.ve lost my voice and feel sick if I try to talk. Got a temperature and can hardly swallow as my throat hurts so much. But I'm still on bus going into work cos they treat you like a criminal if you take time off sick.
    
    Funny thing is, if I try to take today off as holiday they won't let me do that. So they'd make me have to take it as sick and then punish me for it.

  Have a play around on your FPL pages. Hit a players "i" & see what's there etc. Those ratings are pretty useless. Good FPL players have lower ratings than average ones.

If I have 2 free transfers and I choose to wildcard, will I have 2 free transfers the next GW? Trying to find way to have 3 Arsenal and 1/2 B'ham for GW 27 while fielding 11 for GW 28 without a points hit... This would solve it all.

Stockdale or Foster for this GW? I was going for Foster intially for save points more than anything else, but Stockdale has an easier fixture & Fulham are playing pretty well. Plus if Schwarzer does happen to come back in, Foster will just autosub in anyway.

Its a long time since i did a RMT but I feel as if I'm being forced into doing my Wilcard today and the panick is setting in already so I could do with some advise!

  90 pts and you want to wc? You've waited till now-a couple more weeks won't harm you. G27 is the only week to WC-you have a better idea of the transfers the affects of the cup matches.

    Yeah, I had planned on waiting until GW27 but now I find myself with Carson, Crainey, Bale, Nasri, Carroll and more than likely Torres not playing this GW so i'm going to apply the 'snooze and you loose' policy and do my wildcard. Saying that I havent actually clicked the button yet.

      You can still get a decent 11 out this week though. I think that it is worth waiting to see the impact of the new transfers and setting yourself up for DGW27 AND the rest of the season.

        Yeah its a risk setting myself up 2 weeks early for the big double gameweek, but I have an overwhelming sense than my ranking will drop considerably if I dont act now and in the above team I have 8/9 players that SHOULD play twice in GW27. I do see your point though.
