With the Fantasy Premier League gameweek 26 deadline less than a day away, the Paddy Power Cup qualifiers will be eager to know of their opponent. The 256 fantasy managers in the first round can find their tie right here

The current champion of the original version of the Paddy Power Cup, Gooner dave, is in the first round and will no doubt be looking to add the Members Cup to his cabinet. He squares off against a fellow gooner in salmiano.

A former champ of the sister competition is also in round one, with inaugural winner donnellyc up against Busterroo.

Three of the six remaining Scout Contributors are involved in some of the headline games. Mark‘s tie with RafaMC and greek fan‘s match-up against roversnick fill the undercard to what is arguably the main event between Season Ticker extraordinaire Pure Olivia and number one in the world (ID-wise) SuperDunny.

The highest ranked manager in the competition is 13th placed Helge682, and he will face strong opposition in 865th ranked Dirty_harry.

That’s rotten luck for Dirty_harry and, just to contrast that, the lowest ranked manager in the competition, 1,392,976th placed Sonnky has been drawn against the seventh lowest ranked in 529,043rd placed timdogster.

All round one fixtures will be played over this upcoming gameweek, and I’ll bring you a round-up of the results a couple of days after it has ended.

The prizes courtesy of Paddy Power for the competition are a free £150 bet for the winner, £75 for the runner-up and £50 for third place.

If you’re not with Paddy Power yet, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10. (All offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.)

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

It's a nice midfield, I would just get your Birmingham cover elsewhere if I were you. Especially as points could come from many sources in Birmingham, but your current guys are more likely to be in the thick of any action.

A blonde gets a job as a physical education teacher of 16 year olds. She notices a boy in the field standing alone at one end of the field, while all the other kids are running around at the other end having fun. She takes pity on him and decides to speak to him.

    "You ok sweetheart?" she says.

    "Yes Miss" he replies.

"'You can go and play with the other kids if you want" she says.

"It's best I stay here Miss. " he says.

    "Why?" asks the blonde.

The boy replies: "Because I'm the effing goalkeeper."

Well watching the last couple of games (highlights)I thought VDV wasn't looking so good, but the opta stats on him look great and point to the potential for him to have a blinder sometime soon. So home game against Bolton could be that time.

Yes, difficult draw for me as well; although my ranking is higher, our teams are very similar. It looks like it might come down to his Berbatov against my erm Dempsey. Don't fancy my chances much unless I can conjure up a cunning differential.

I still have both Wildcards left, I'm considering going all out on GW 27, get 22 players across the week, then using my second transfer GW28 to sort my team out.

    Thoughts?

Good plan, if only there were more prospects though. You will know what games are ON in GW 28 so you could fill up with Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Man U players to maximise your advantage.

Is there likely to be another decent Double GW like this before the end of the season? When do we find out what matches are happening in GW28?

After the FA Cup games starting 19th Feb. There is still GW29 but unless there are crazy cup/champion's league runs/weather disasters etc The best you could get is a DGW for 2 or 3 extra games probably, nothing better than 24.

I disagree actually. Use your WC in GW26, having about 9 DGW players like most other people, and do the two free transfers in GW28. Having just two more DGW players is unlikely to give you a massive advantage, whereas keeping your WC in your back pocket could be a huge advantage. Imagine if later on suddenly several key players don't play, like we had before with midfielders. You could really clean up using your WC in a week like that.

comments please on my WC team.

    Begovic Foster
    Coleman Djourou Clark Kelly Simpson
    Fabs VDV Nani Young Adam
    Berba Tevez RVP

Have no idea about GW28 but the above team would field 10 players and I'd have two frees as dont plan to make one next week.

Who should I captain this weekend?

    Szcez
    Vidic Coleman Walker
    Adam Nani VDV Walcott
    RVP Torres Rooney

I've found this the hardest week to choose.

VDV - At home, due a big haul, Bolton are pish.
RVP - Hard to go against that form
Torres - I'm almost certain he'll bag one.
Rooney - Back in form? Wolves also crap.

A case could be made for Walcott, Nani and even Coleman.

So who's going to smash it like Richard Keys?
