With the Fantasy Premier League gameweek 26 deadline less than a day away, the Paddy Power Cup qualifiers will be eager to know of their opponent. The 256 fantasy managers in the first round can find their tie right here

The current champion of the original version of the Paddy Power Cup, Gooner dave, is in the first round and will no doubt be looking to add the Members Cup to his cabinet. He squares off against a fellow gooner in salmiano.

A former champ of the sister competition is also in round one, with inaugural winner donnellyc up against Busterroo.

Three of the six remaining Scout Contributors are involved in some of the headline games. Mark‘s tie with RafaMC and greek fan‘s match-up against roversnick fill the undercard to what is arguably the main event between Season Ticker extraordinaire Pure Olivia and number one in the world (ID-wise) SuperDunny.

The highest ranked manager in the competition is 13th placed Helge682, and he will face strong opposition in 865th ranked Dirty_harry.

That’s rotten luck for Dirty_harry and, just to contrast that, the lowest ranked manager in the competition, 1,392,976th placed Sonnky has been drawn against the seventh lowest ranked in 529,043rd placed timdogster.

All round one fixtures will be played over this upcoming gameweek, and I’ll bring you a round-up of the results a couple of days after it has ended.

The prizes courtesy of Paddy Power for the competition are a free £150 bet for the winner, £75 for the runner-up and £50 for third place.

If you’re not with Paddy Power yet, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10. (All offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.)

might no start 2mara and young is on fk/pens, though they are both playing in behind the striker, fully intend to get cahill for gw29 and think that szczney is a better choice fot the double as well...

make up your arsenal 3 without szczney man. get begovic in... check it out... if he'd played every game this season hed prob be in top 3. cahill might not start but he will and he WILL score or at least get an assist.

But if he doesn't start, how do you know he WILL come off the bench? If Everton go 3-0 up inside an hour, why would Moyes feel the need to risk him?

And I have Begovic, but there's nothing wrong with Chesney. It just depends who your other keeper is.

In that case, get Begovic. I'd put Stoke down as slightly more likely to keep a clean sheet than Arsenal.

                    And I'd get Young.

ok well it comes down to luck and choice. cahill will be DYING TO PROVE HIMSELF after a frankly dire asian cup... moyes may not want to take the chance. Its blackpool though... theyll seriously fall out if he doesnt get a shot at them

If anyone's interested, I wrote a piece on how the Torres signing may affect the way Chelsea play:

    http://bit.ly/e95Ggh

I wrote it prior to the Sunderland game, and on the evidence of that it seems as though Carlo fancies Anelka for the role that I thought Malouda might play. Something Zonal Marking wrote about in a piece today: http://www.zonalmarking.net/2011/02/04/nicolas-anelka-as-a-trequartista/

Fancy the team for Sunday to be:

    Cech
    Bosingwa Ivanovic Terry Cole
    Essien
    Ramires Lampard
    Anelka
    Drogba Torres

Really? Only just got in so haven't read anything about team news etc today, but that strikes me as odd.

Why change formation for the Sunderland game, with Anelka in behind two forwards - Drogba and Kalou - and then scrap it, despite absolutely dominating Sunderland?

Why would he drop Malouda though? Malouda's good.

This seems nutty considering Chelsea fans (yourself included) were constantly berated the damned diamond earlier last season.

Why doesn't Signor Eyebrow just grow a pair and drop that malaria-ridden Ivorian?

It's fair enough, I absolutely hated the diamond six months into last season and was delighted when we gave up with it.

But having Bosingwa, who I also hate but let's ignore that, and Ramires in the side makes a massive difference. And the main criticism of the diamond was Lampard not being suited to it, but he is nowhere near our best player these days, so that's not so much of an issue.

It's a bit cynical, but Roman seems to want Drogba and Torres playing together, so that will probably happen - despite his poor form - and playing a midfield diamond is the best way of allowing them to play together.

Plus, Anelka was outstanding at Sunderland at the tip of the diamond, and a massive issue last season was not finding someone suited to playing the role - Anelka was never tried.

He might play malouda at the tip and start Anelka alonside Torres? He's often benched Drogba in the bigger games to get him motivated.

Maybe, but Anelka was absolutely brilliant on Tuesday, after months of ineffectiveness, so I wouldn't expect Carlo to be in a rush to move him.

I think the four in the diamond will be: Mikel - Ramires Lampard - Anelka, just not sure about the forward two. Could easily be any of Drogba/Torres, Torres/Kalou or Drogba/Kalou.

I'm very surprised Chelsea didn't try to get themselves a decent right winger and a suitable Lampard replacement with that £50mil.

It just smacks of Abramovic looking at the league table and going: "WE'RE NOT DOING WELL ENOUGH LETS BUY FERNANDO TORRES," rather than letting Ancelotti sit down and draw up a list of targets. And this is Chelsea's biggest problem.

Foley->Coleman, even when Everton lose he's an offensive threat, likes to play upfront when possible. The Man City defense has too much rotation. Foley hasn't played in three matches. If ur set on foley i'd drop Evatt, Blackpool are starting to show poor form on D.

Want some Everton cover on team. Obvious choice is Cahill as I already have s coleman in the back, but wondering if anyone knows whats going on with him. I guess its rather speculative, but dont feel comfortable with the fact that he played 2nd half of asian cup with a knee brace, and had been struggling after the first game of cup to get on scoresheet while complaining about knee. Im considering bilyaletdinov, but not sure how secure that would be, although if he were given the playing time, i think he can produce, as was evident last year scoring 6 goals in pl in 1400 minutes. That would also free up some cash to bolster my attack. Any thoughts, information, recommendations? Im using wild card this week so do not want to end up swapping player for player of same team as I have some transfers already planned out for next few gameweeks barring injuries or suspensions.

Yea, after he got two in group qualifying then got hurt, he hadn't done anything. Give him one game before you jump on him.

Who's the best option for the next 3 GWs:

Kolarov, Kelly, Gallas, Walker or Simpson?

      1) Gallas - Would be easy choice but no game on gw28
2)Kolarov - 2 easy games and attacking pts potential
      3) Kelly - pool looking strong at back, although chelsea will be tough
      4) Walker - Good Schedule, a riskier option, but can reap big rewards and decent differential
      5) simpson - will be surpirsed if he tops 8 pts in next 3 gameweeks even with 4 games - most likely will score approx six in next 3 gws
