With the Fantasy Premier League gameweek 26 deadline less than a day away, the Paddy Power Cup qualifiers will be eager to know of their opponent. The 256 fantasy managers in the first round can find their tie right here

The current champion of the original version of the Paddy Power Cup, Gooner dave, is in the first round and will no doubt be looking to add the Members Cup to his cabinet. He squares off against a fellow gooner in salmiano.

A former champ of the sister competition is also in round one, with inaugural winner donnellyc up against Busterroo.

Three of the six remaining Scout Contributors are involved in some of the headline games. Mark‘s tie with RafaMC and greek fan‘s match-up against roversnick fill the undercard to what is arguably the main event between Season Ticker extraordinaire Pure Olivia and number one in the world (ID-wise) SuperDunny.

The highest ranked manager in the competition is 13th placed Helge682, and he will face strong opposition in 865th ranked Dirty_harry.

That’s rotten luck for Dirty_harry and, just to contrast that, the lowest ranked manager in the competition, 1,392,976th placed Sonnky has been drawn against the seventh lowest ranked in 529,043rd placed timdogster.

All round one fixtures will be played over this upcoming gameweek, and I’ll bring you a round-up of the results a couple of days after it has ended.

The prizes courtesy of Paddy Power for the competition are a free £150 bet for the winner, £75 for the runner-up and £50 for third place.

If you’re not with Paddy Power yet, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10. (All offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.)

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

Pretty random question, but who do we fancy out of the West Ham - Brum game? Birmingham are very poor away from home, but can't really see the Hammers winning two in a row. With that said, West Ham will be looking to avenge the cup defeat..

    Thoughts?

I think West Ham will win, that time of the season when they start stringing together some wins to narrowly scrape and jam their way out of relegation.

because sunderland scored 2 goals vs chelsea and still lost. They will want to make up for it against Stoke.
Both teams will concede imo, but i think foster will concede less and get more save points.

              Now your turn

because birmingham have not kept a clean sheet in 9 games.are missing their centre back and possibly r.johnson and face a west ham team who have scored 5 in the last two games and now have robbie keane. stoke are at home and have three clean sheets in the last seven and shawcross is back. i also think they will both concede but logic says begovic

Yep, did it a couple of minutes ago...

I never had Berbatov until last week when I wildcarded, and the plan was always to have him for last week, then switch to Tévez this week. Great plan. 😕

So anyway, I don't lose any value on him, and City's fixtures are much better than Utd's, especially if they lose their double.

I'm in the same boat too. Brought Berbs in last week for a temporary solution. Gona swap him out for Tevez now though. I never planned on having at any stage in the season. I've a feeling Fergie will play Rooney and Hernandez this weekend.

    Hi guys.

    Here is how addicted I am to fantasy football;
During last nights footi training I broke a rib, and that rib cut a hole in my lung. I was brought to hospital where I had a surgery and now I have to spend 5 days here with a tube sticking out of my chest…..and all I could think of during these busy hours was; fcuk, I have just played my wildcard! This is my first day at the hospital, and I have spent the day trying to get online, and luckily my brother managed to fix it! Yahoo!

OK. I've got 6.8 to spend on a defender. Who would you pick?
Can't be an Arsenal player. . . I already have RVP, Cesc and their keeper.

    Hi

Looking for some help with strategy. This is my first season and have found myself with a 20 point lead at the top of my league. Now that I am in this position I am losing my bottle.

Most of the players close to me have Tevez and will probably (C) him. Should I "go defensive" and bring Tevez or ignore my paranoia that he will strike big and carry on with my original plan of no transfer this week so I can carry it forward and have flexibility going into the interesting DGW27/8 period.

Is this team good enough for this wee?

    Foster

    Coleman Rafael Koralov

    VDV Nani Fab Nzog

    Torres RVP

    Stockdale Adam Campbell Hughes

I didnt realise Gardner took penalties, food for thought. I noticed Bentley got max bonus points so maybe he has become a magnet seeing as he is prob their main creative force now (bonus point judges love max passes/touches)

Looking at this myself, but it depends on what happens in GW28 as I am concerned about being able to put a team that week if ARS BIR and TOT all have no game. If that is the case I will probably do it for the following GW.

Im pretty resigned to having 9 DGW players followed by 10 total players (inc GK) for week 28. I think it should be alright as hoping to max returns from the double.
