Everton’s penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea this afternoon -more on this game and other fixtures to come in the Cup Notes to follow- means they have duly qualified for the fifth round of the FA Cup. Congratulations to them.

More importantly for Fantasy Managers, this now means that the previously reported fixture upheaval has been avoided. With Chelsea now out of the FA Cup, their (already once postponed) fixture at home to Manchester United will stay in place and be played out on the evening of Tuesday March 1. United now keep their double fixture in gameweek 28 as a result, with an away trip to Wigan next weekend, followed by the Stamford Bridge clash days later.

Most will have probably predicted, planned and expected Chelsea to come out their fourth round replay as victors and see this double gameweek nullified; Fantasy Managers now need to prepare for United’s double, while Chelsea are back in the gameweek hat having dodged involvement in the dreaded “blank gameweek”.

Everton’s progress to the fifth round has no impact on their fixtures right now. They will play out their fifth round tie with Reading on March 1 – this will not disrupt their double fixture in gameweek 29 (new&BIR).

That is in no way a fact it is an opinion. It depends what you define best football as.

Okay, well if you define it as scoring goals through incisive and technically brilliant attacking play then they have. I think even James would agree with that.....

scoring many goals maybe fun to watch

but then in chelseas first game against a good team (city) they showed they lacked the ability to break down more defensive teams

under mourinho they scored against everyone and didnt concede a goal at home for 2 years i think it was

that may not be the best to watch but its probably a better performance

Thats the problem those players are now 6 years oldder and not as good as they were.
Plus no Robben, Duff, Joe Cole who played out wide, now no width at all.
Ancelotti's team TRY to play with a more attacking ethos, its just the players arent as good as what Mourinho had/bought...

As soon as the New Zealand game has started you can switch captains... So you could have two captains (Vettori and Dilshan) playing at the same time, and you'd be getting double points from both of them!

Captain changes are unlimited throughout the competition and can therefore be changed prior to every single match.

In the event of two matches in a day, you can change your captain any time after the scheduled start of the first match to take effect for the second match - thus effectively having two captains for that day.

i want to captian vettori too but looking at sehwag's silly score today it seems the game is maybe more batsman friendly?

have you seen merrymichael's score btw. i know it's early days but 😆

Captaining bowlers seems a lot safer... A batsmen can easily get about -40 if you captain him and he gets a duck.

hmm i suppose. there seems so much luck with tosses etc. and if the pitch and opposition is so batsmen frienbdly like today the middle order players like dhoni may not get to bat. so lots of little things can or can't go your way. the opening batsmen seems safer to me, then maybe an all rounder in a tougher game

Bumble said it when Mitchell Johnson came in to bat in the first test of last summer's Ashes, and I loved it.
