Cesc Fabregas has this evening suffered an injury that saw him replaced after just 14 minutes of the Premier League clash with Stoke.

Details on the injury are sketchy right now but fears are mounting that the Gunners skipper may well have sustained further hamstring problems. The severity is not yet clear and, given Arsenal’s forthcoming fixtures – the Carling Cup Final and the Champions League second leg with Barcelona – we can only hope that his withdrawal was partly precaution. That could well be wishful thinking.

In Fantasy terms the injury is ironic to say the least. Robin Van Persie was ruled out of tonight’s game with his own hamstring injury, a cruel blow for those who captained the Dutchman for Arsenal’s double fixture in gameweek 27. Those who skippered Fabregas going into the gameweek have now suffered a similar fate with the Spaniard returning just 8 points in total.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm having a panic attack right now. For some reason I'm convinced Djourou will get taken off at the 59th minute. Please lord don't let it happen!

if that happens hopefully he will accidentally trip over his own shoelaces, fall painfully somewhere and be taken off injured after a whole minute, giving him the six points, then his injury is found to be not serious and he will be out for the carling cup final but will be back for gw29. dream scene!

Looking at RVP & Fabs -> Cahill & Rooney (4 point hit)

Worth doing tonight to catch Rooney price rise? Would need to do Cahill at same time as not enough funds for just the Roonster - is Cahill confirmed fit/unfit for the w/e yet?

cahill is supposedly winning his fitness battle, as is saha, but we wont know for sure until at least friday i think. i would do fabs, not too keen on all the RVP selling though, good fixtures and on very good form

yeah, problem is I can only field a maximum of 8 at the moment this week. Rooney has a double Vs RVP's none, plus there's the chance RVP could get rested in GW29 before the Barca tie. Either way RVP will be coming back in GW30.

    Fate - that litlle bit*h!
I watched yesterday last 5 mins of blacpool game, just enough to see adam's idiotic act and evatt lose his cs.

    Well no I am without
    foster
    djorue, johnson
    fab, vdv, adam, ferguson
    rvp

But I am still thinking maybe swap evatt to kolarov rather than djorue...djorue I can play after gw28, evatt gives me 1 point every single time! What you think?

btw, I am quite happy to play next gw with 9 men...
