Cesc Fabregas has this evening suffered an injury that saw him replaced after just 14 minutes of the Premier League clash with Stoke.

Details on the injury are sketchy right now but fears are mounting that the Gunners skipper may well have sustained further hamstring problems. The severity is not yet clear and, given Arsenal’s forthcoming fixtures – the Carling Cup Final and the Champions League second leg with Barcelona – we can only hope that his withdrawal was partly precaution. That could well be wishful thinking.

In Fantasy terms the injury is ironic to say the least. Robin Van Persie was ruled out of tonight’s game with his own hamstring injury, a cruel blow for those who captained the Dutchman for Arsenal’s double fixture in gameweek 27. Those who skippered Fabregas going into the gameweek have now suffered a similar fate with the Spaniard returning just 8 points in total.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Man U fans - is berba likely to play both games of the double? Assume so?

Would it be foolish to have both Kuyt and Meireles?

My finger is on the Wildcard button, will have 10 to play this week though without a hit, some of my rivals have 6 available, so shall I still do it or wait?

Wait!! Play your 10, wait to see which are long-term injuries and then pounce with an optimum team for the rest of the season.
