Hot on the heels of the round two results, the draw for the third round of the Members Paddy Power Cup has been made and the fixtures can be viewed right here. Of the 32 fixtures there are several stand-out ties…

Having seen off pompeyfan in the second round, the fourth highest-ranked Fantasy Manager in the competition, denial, has been drawn in the glamour tie of the round against 5oth in the world, and highest-ranked manager in the competition, Zophar.

Another contender enjoying a fabulous season is current Paddy Power Cup III Champion, Gooner dave. He takes on Merlinho in the last 64.

The last remaining Scout Contributor in the Cup, Granville has a tough test against Dave Boozle.

Last week’s top-scorer xabi_14 is on an exceptionally hot streak, having clocked post-wildcard scores of 117, 75, 100 and 103. That mammoth four week glut has seen him catapult up the rankings from 217,542nd in GW23 to now 8,682nd in the world. In his way this week is NotoriousDRE, another in-form manager who has only notched three fewer points than his opponent in the same period.

Fixtures to be played over Gameweek 28, and I’ll bring you news of the results shortly after it’s conclusion. Good luck to all participating.

    I can't understand why Moyes doesn't play Arteta where Pienaar used to play. He would link up well with Baines and due to Baines flying down the left he would basically be playing as an inside attacking midfielder, where is is most effective.

      2 away games, and Utd have been poor away from home. I think they'll concede at The Bridge. You'd waste a transfer getting rid next week aswell.

    why is everyone so worried about rooney and nani playing both games?

    just because its a double week in fantasy terms it doenst mean its any different to them playing weekend and midweek for utd like they often do

    if every permier league team were playing tues/weds and it was classed as a separate gameweek people wouldnt be worrying about rooney or nani being rested

    What are people's opinion's on playing either 10 players or playing 11 for a hit?

    My current team is:

    Begovic (Foster)
    Baines Kolarov Simpson (Djornou Johnson)
    Nani Cahill Etherington (Adam Walcott )
    ODEM Berb (RVP)

    That's 9 players with Eth a major doubt. One free transfer this week, 4.5 to spend.

    My dilemma is to make 2 transfer this week or one. I am thinking to do RVP > Rooney and nothing else. If I want to bring in another MF for Adam or Walcott, that will cost me 4pts, and I'm not convinced any MF will get me the 4 minimum.

    MFs I'm considering are Downing, O'Hara and Arteta.

          i want him for gwk 32, i looked at transfer plans that i could leave him out for now and get him later but i need to switch my stoke defenders out over the next 3-4 weeks so went for torres now

          he has 2 big home games against the manc sides and hes proved he can do it in the big games, and 2 away games against blackpool and stoke, hes scored at blackpool already this season

              rooney will play twice and the other 2 playin will recoup 8 in total so if they all score 2 points per 90mins ill lose out on 4 points, im confident one of them will get a goal assist or bonus to make it worthwhile

        luke young is back in contention for villa. he was linked with liverpool and also an england call up earlier this season. also harry has said walker isnt going to villa permanently at the end of teh season so it may be that young gets his place back

        Not true, I took a points hit in getting Huth in for Evra before the game against Sunderland. My best points hit ever! I hate cautious players, if you think a player will do well and the player you have in your team won't, do it for just 4 points. Must be a long term transfer though.
