Club in relegation struggle? Check. Passionate manager? Check. Jamie O’Hara signed on loan? Check. Wolves’ recent on-loan midfield acquisition certainly rings a bell similar to that of the player’s spell at Portsmouth last season.

Although Pompey were ultimately relegated, O’Hara was hugely influential in both their survival attempts and a memorable FA Cup run that saw the club reach last season‘s final. His industry and determination were rewarded with nine end of season club awards and, more pertinently for Fantasy Managers, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) also noticed O’Hara’s efforts, dishing out 25 bonus points in the midfielder’s direction.

Sidelined until the New Year after undergoing back surgery, the player has only featured in a handful of competitive games this season and is probably some way from full match sharpness. Despite this, O’Hara has made an instant impact at Molineux and has quickly produced the goods for Big Mick‘s side, grabbing a goal in each of his last two Premier League games as well as picking up 2 and 3 Bonus Points respectively, for a 20 point FPL haul over two fixtures. Our Members should check out his OPTA Stats over the last few games to see just how much of an influence he already is to his new team.

O’Hara’s time at White Hart Lane looks like coming to an end and with Wolves‘ hopes of making the transfer permanent dependent on their top-flight survival, these next few games place him in the shop window for a summer move away from his parent club. The player certainly seems to have conceded defeat on his time at Tottenham, recently admitting:

“To be honest I can’t see myself playing for Spurs at the moment, it’s time for me to move on in my career.”

Wolves do not have the kindest of fixtures on the horizon (avl, new, EVE, stk, FUL, bir) with three of their next four away from Molineux. Big Mick’s men have been poor on the road this term, losing 11 of their 14 Premier League outings and desperately need to improve on their travels to boost any hopes of survival. Regardless of results however, there’s no doubt O’Hara will be at the forefront of much of their attacking flow and, priced at just £5.1m in FPL and with an ownership of 0.6%, could prove to be a key “differential” and all-round steal as the Fantasy Season enters the home stretch.

johnfinlay John swears he'll deliver unbiased Fantasy Premier League tips and news...until Leeds get promoted.

      I'd say no.
Adam has the bonus of penalties over O'hara and is more of a bp magnet. Furthermore blackpool tend to score more goals than wolves

Very tempting JP, could do really well, but who would you have as strikers?

I'm going the other way with a mf of:
Nani, Nasri, VDV, Lampard and A Young

with Rooney and RVP up front + Doyle. Quite a dilemma!

I have thought about this the last few days. Think I'll definitely be shipping out Tevez & getting Lamps in.

Bottom line is Lamps has better fixs for 4 of the next 5 GWs. And GW31 is only marginally in Tevez's favour with Chelsea away to Stoke.

Jose left cos the club was going no where which he was partially at fault for. His signings Pizzaro Ben Haim etc were duds that year

Oh and yes form was pretty poor. Unless you call drawing with Rosenberg and getting booed off any good?

I love how everytime people look back at Joses time at Chelsea they skip where it all was falling apart on and off the pitch and where his own fans were booing the team cos results were so poor and pretend it was all trophies and he was unfairly booted out

I wasn’t paying attention to the computer and all of a sudden heard some audio coming out. I closed a few screens only to realize it was an Airwick commercial with audio that started from the FFS page I had open. I totally understand the necessity of ads(preferably related to football), and I am a member, but I really don’t care for audio “pop ups”, especially about air freshener. I love this site and will continue to visit but hopefully these kinds of ads will be limited. Thanks (stepping down from the soap box)

So here's my 12 point hit for GW30

    Tevez>RVP
    Arteta>VDV
    Walcott>Lamps
    Baines>Dawson

Have a good feeling about these, apart from the pts hit obviously. Might then look about getting Tevez back in around GW34/5

    Yay or Nay?

Yeah, I have Walker already and cant afford Luiz so have to make do with Dawson.

The other option is playing it safe and just getting in either VDV or RVP for no points hits, but I can't be arsed missing out on any more points from Frank the tank

Would be a massive improvement on the likes of Obertan.

Probably a slight improvement(/offers something different) to Park.

I'm sceptical as to how Valencia will come back from his injury too. He looked absolutely shocking at the start of this season - seemed to have lost all confidence completely.

TBH i think United's midfield is nowhere near as good as the other top 4/5 in the league - so i do kinda think Young would improve it

I was making that comment more in jest, in reality what I would like is for someone to buy the club from the glazer's and pay off THEIR debt, leaving the club's interest free profit's to finance our future spending.

COMPLETELY different to what Chelsea/City did, much more similar to what happened with Liverpool.

I can deny it, and i have. As i said, i supported getting JCole at one point, so i'm not hiding anything. Considering DB's main agenda on this forum is to 'try and assault' my credibility this is absolutely laughable. Also, the irony of saying this and then calling me a daily mail writer isn't lost. let me get this straight.

Your now denying you wanted Milner at the club?

You said it loads and loads and loads of times....... I remember it, RBJ already said he does, id bet Jamsiep and MF would too.

You posted a number of teams with him at the head of a midfield 3. At least have to class to admit it. But then again where is the class in the person who loves to resort to the insensitive and grossly inappropriate "moronic" as if its some ad lib joking term and not a serious medical condition which many families have to cope with day in day out. I wonder if you even know the meaning of the words you so crassly write

Well played AP. Classy as ever.

I'm sure this has already been discussed but as a berba owner I'm concerned. Any one think he will play in sat? I can't take him out as I'm already taking an 8 pointer to bring in fatman. Thoughts?
