Club in relegation struggle? Check. Passionate manager? Check. Jamie O’Hara signed on loan? Check. Wolves’ recent on-loan midfield acquisition certainly rings a bell similar to that of the player’s spell at Portsmouth last season.

Although Pompey were ultimately relegated, O’Hara was hugely influential in both their survival attempts and a memorable FA Cup run that saw the club reach last season‘s final. His industry and determination were rewarded with nine end of season club awards and, more pertinently for Fantasy Managers, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) also noticed O’Hara’s efforts, dishing out 25 bonus points in the midfielder’s direction.

Sidelined until the New Year after undergoing back surgery, the player has only featured in a handful of competitive games this season and is probably some way from full match sharpness. Despite this, O’Hara has made an instant impact at Molineux and has quickly produced the goods for Big Mick‘s side, grabbing a goal in each of his last two Premier League games as well as picking up 2 and 3 Bonus Points respectively, for a 20 point FPL haul over two fixtures. Our Members should check out his OPTA Stats over the last few games to see just how much of an influence he already is to his new team.

O’Hara’s time at White Hart Lane looks like coming to an end and with Wolves‘ hopes of making the transfer permanent dependent on their top-flight survival, these next few games place him in the shop window for a summer move away from his parent club. The player certainly seems to have conceded defeat on his time at Tottenham, recently admitting:

“To be honest I can’t see myself playing for Spurs at the moment, it’s time for me to move on in my career.”

Wolves do not have the kindest of fixtures on the horizon (avl, new, EVE, stk, FUL, bir) with three of their next four away from Molineux. Big Mick’s men have been poor on the road this term, losing 11 of their 14 Premier League outings and desperately need to improve on their travels to boost any hopes of survival. Regardless of results however, there’s no doubt O’Hara will be at the forefront of much of their attacking flow and, priced at just £5.1m in FPL and with an ownership of 0.6%, could prove to be a key “differential” and all-round steal as the Fantasy Season enters the home stretch.

johnfinlay John swears he'll deliver unbiased Fantasy Premier League tips and news...until Leeds get promoted.

TBH, I think this performance has more to do with Essien being benched and Torres and Anelka not playing up front together....

    Fact number one of today;

had copenhagen played a game before the first leg, instead of having three months off, Chelsea would quite possibly be out.

Anyone but schalke, and chelsea are out i reckon...Chelsea to opposed with a big large roll of bills, to make use of the patriotic punt. Or, ideally, lay them.

2 weeks to shake off those 'not playing for months': righto.

It's still not a fact though. That is something provalble and verifiable:

          Water = H20
          The Moon orbits the Earth.
          Arsenal are Rubbish

          etc. etc.

it is provable and verifiable that given copenhagen's lack of competitive football, they were less likely to trouble chelsea, than if they had been playing regular football.

It's a fact that they were at a disadvantage given conventional footballing wisdom.

            You lose.

Good achievement by FC Köpenhamn to reach the last 16.

Oh, and Özil is my favorite player to watch. His movement, passing and sheer willingness to create for his team is special.

Is it really inconceivable that SAF will rest young Chico? I wish I knew for certain as Berbs -> VP seems much more sensible than Tevez -> VP.
Someone earlier pointed out that Berbs was rested after his 5 goal haul vs BR ie SAF doesn't always go with form.
        This decision is agonising 😕

Oh the "current team". Is this the current team who has Ronaldo and Tevez like you claim "The current team won the CC last year and the year before that" As in this current team with Ronaldo and Tevez ,

The current team have yet to win a league or CL. Now take a deep breath and realize 2009 and 2011 are worlds apart.

Kuszczak; Rafael, Vidic, Evans, Evra; Valencia, Fletcher, Carrick, Park; Owen, Berbatov. : is the team that started with your fav Wayne Rooney scoring the winning goal. In fairness, you probably weren't watching so it's fine.

Which included Tevez and Ronaldo. So yes its a different team

Or any you going to deny it yet again?

Oh and look we were talking about Leagues and CL's. Which i said again in the last response.

lol oh dear oh dear oh dear.

You love quoting people so here we go, i'll make this VERY SIMPLE.

"You do realize your comparing the current team who have as yet no trophies to the 2 of the most successful and acclaimed teams in the history of the game, United in the late 1990′s and United of 2008"

Tevez and Ronaldo were not playing at wembley last year in the CC final. Not that difficult is it?

This is pretty embarrassing, just admit you are wrong and move along. It's certainly going in the DB fails bookmark collection though!

I need to address this utter mis use of quotes for future reference.

I compared United today (2011) to United in 2008 and 1999.

"You do realize your comparing the current team who have as yet no trophies to the 2 of the most successful and acclaimed teams in the history of the game, United in the late 1990′s and United of 2008"

And then you talked about last year and the year before.
"The current team won the CC last year and the year before that, "

The team changed completely between 2008 - 2009 to 2010 which you for someone reason join together just because both won the same cup, Unless you think losing Tevez, Ronaldo, gaining Valencia and pusing Rooney central is the same team.

I referred to 2008 team which won the CL and league and which is not comparable to now.

You really are utterly useless at understanding the simplest of points. And yes this will be bookmarked.

😆 I just love how you keep digging your hole deeper and deeper. It's written there in B&W. You even quoted yourself! You think the current (2011) team has won no trophies, even though the exact same squad sans Hernandez and Bebe won the CC last season. That's 2010 Db, 13 months ago, just incase it's not obvious enough yet.

This is all completely needless, i even held back from mocking you initially, just posted that you should get your facts right. You should have just accepted it and moved on rather than embarrassingly try to argue your way out of it. Now though, it's open season. You're a complete and utter imbecile. Village stuff. As per. Goodnight.

Im actually still shocked at your inability to understand a group of words.

I compared this year with 2008 and 1999. Teams with CL and leagues.

You defended their cc win last year which i didnt even mention as we were talking about leagues and especially the CL.

It actually beggars belief that you think im talking about something which you introduced to the conversation.

the PL is A LOT LOT stronger now... i was poitning towards our performance in the Champions Leagu, which i think is a more accurate barometer when comparing the heavyweights of Europe....

I don't know if the Premier League is a lot stronger now. It's a bit more of a level playing field is all, because the Big 4 have failed to invest at the same rate, and been pegged back.

As for strongest teams in Europe, Barca and Madrid are streaks ahead of everyone else.

I reckon Madrid will win it. Too much being read into that 5-0. That'll never happen again, and only serve to galvanise Madrid.

behind those two, i think United are in with as good a shout as anyone. Don't think we'd take either of them in a two legged tie. Think we'd have a great chance against Madrid in a one off game on neutral turf. Can't see us beating Barca any which way.

Team looks OK to me - Bale or VDV is a no-brainer. I think Bale might be worth a shout this time round. Rooney or Little Pea in for Tevez; or even Torres. Chelsea's fixtures pick-up in gw32, but will you have the patience to wait until then?

well numb nuts over here, took out rvp for torres instead of fab for lampard last game week.
So now i have torres thinking i might as well stick with him, never know usually has a good game in the big games.

Planning to get lamps in as well for their run, most likely rvp in for tevez too.
Seeing zigic on my team sheet makes me want to vomit on myself.

Depends on fabs fitness..not heard anything about it.

Well, it's 9 years since he last lost at home for once and Inter did beat Barca with an inferior team. If the odds were equal I might have put my money on Barca instead but twice the odds is a joke.

seriously AB?inter didn't have an inferior team in any way and hence they managed to beat them over the two legs. It was jose's tactics and a great team effort that got inter through.

There were alot of random variables which Jose had no control over.

Like the ash cloud for one which meant Barcelona at to travel for days by bus.

The odds are double for a reason.

If you compare each of the players at Barca and Inter, Barca were miles ahead. Don't see how Inter would have beaten Barca with any other manager than JM. Inter beat them through great tactical dispositions and a team spirit few others than JM and SAF are able to create. Next to Bayern München, RM is the team I dislike the most. I hope I am wrong but the combination of a great squad with Ronaldo, Marcelo etc. and JM puts them up there with Barca.
