There were precisely 1,638 entries for the qualifying round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV, meaning only 32% of the total entrants joined our former Champions in the first round. Had the 126 Fantasy Managers who submitted their FPL Team Name, rather than their FPL ID Number, then that figure would’ve been a lot less.

However, if you did manage to submit your entry correctly, the magical score you needed in GW29 to get a spot in that first round (minus points spent on transfers of course) was 43.

That left the 47 Fantasy Managers sitting on 42 points hoping that their overall rank was good enough to fill one of the remaining 28 spots.

The line was drawn under 42,611th ranked RonnayBarkay, who enters the competition as number 512. Missing out by the narrowest of margins was the Chaser, who sits 44,221st in the world, and fails to make the cut.

The Scout Contributor’s have been slashed considerably, with Mark, I’m Not Marshal Foch, Sir Paulos, SUPERIOR BEING, Andy, johnfinlay, greek fan and elfozzie all bowing out.

An impressive 19 of the FPL top 100 entered the tournament, but 11 of those are not in the hat for the first round. The early exit of 7th in the world Doklett, 11th in the world Mince and 26th in the world Zophar, means 31st in the world oi keano is the highest ranked manager in the competition.

He’ll certainly be one to avoid in the draw, which will be announced later today.

Congratulations to those negotiating their way into the first round, and commiseration to the 1,129 that didn’t make it.

    Just watched a few cricket highlights from a couple of days back..

    Anyone see the send off Mushfiqur Raheem gave Alexei Kervezee after stumping him? I tell you, Kervezee did well to not smash the mouthy little excuse with his bat on the way past. Totally needless.

    here's a documentary i watched last night if anyone is interested. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00zj16f/Storyville_20102011_Kidult_Marathon_Boy/

    it's about a kid in india who ran 40 miles at the age of 4. yes you did just read that. there's some funny moments too as he was adopted from a slum so just swears at people at first. there's another bit where a reporter asks him what he did and he says, "i took a sh** then i went for a run." simple pleasures 😆

        hmm well the guy that adopts the kid gets shot. it's quite a deep too with themes like poverty, crime, corruption, politics involved and whether the trainer actually cares about the kid or whether he's just using him to make himself rich and famous

        He will not be rested for a crunch continental clash with Dynamo Kiev on Thursday, as City attempt to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit, but he will get the opportunity to put his feet up once domestic action shuts down for the international break later this month.

    With the imminent return of Valencia to the United side (he looks sharp too), my transfer finger of fate is pointing unerringly at Nani's chops.

    One, if not the main reason, I got Nani in was that his place in the starting 11 was nailed on with Valencia's injury. Do we collectively think that SAF will play a 442 with only Scholes and Carrick sitting in front of the back 4? Perhaps in the next 3 games (BOL, whu, FUL), but could we expect Nani to be rested now?

    With more creativity in Man Utd's midfield, I think Rooney or even Hernandez is almost a must now.

        Agreed. VDV is knocking on my midfield door and transferring Nani out doesn't seem as mad as it sounds on the face of it.

        Probably will just do one of Tevez / Berbatov to RVP for this week and see how things develop.

              Yep, i do think so. I think he'll be a risky pick till the end of the season (and certainly till Spurs are in the Cl). With all his fitness issues and he has only played well with crouch only so don't know how it will effect him him if he is paired up with defoe.

      I agree, I've got both rooney and nani for now, but valencia does present rotation sized question marks. Nani for Lampard looks to be a good move ahead of Gw33.

    Need a little bit of help please.

    Thinking of an 8 point hit this week to do.

    Evra -> 5.5 Defender (Thinking Smalling, possibly Samba?, Fulham defender?)

    Barton -> Nasri

    Tevez -> Rooney

    Gives me this team.

    Begovic Foster
    Coleman Kolarov Clark Kelly 5.5
    Nasri Lampard Nani VDV Young
    Rooney Vela Saha

    I know the defence needs sorting, but that can be done next week, Ok I have been telling myself this for ages now, but still….? What’d ya think? Any thoughts appreciated.

    P.S: Good (Newish) Albums to download? I like Bruno Mars new one, so along those sort of lines.

    The price fall of Nikola Zigic is going to resemble Mauro Boselli's at this rate!

    I'm praying he goes yellow - He can't possibly fall again this week - And then takes his place on the bench at the weekend and hopefully a bit of protection for a bit before the double GW.

    what a BRILLIANT game of Cricket. England's keeping me on the toes, though I am from Mumbai, India. Now, we can be chuked out from tournament.. now we don't want that, do we ? TAMIM IQBAL get out fast !!! 😀 ... Group B is a Real group of Death. Even Ireland is awesome for a minnow.

            Stay away from Silva for (c) he will surely disappoint fantasy wise.

                Personally, I like the Danny move if I was in your position without Tevez.
