We’ve the luxury of eight, yes eight(!), Premier League fixtures to pour over today. So get in the Dugout Discussion chatroom early, and settle yourself for a full days action.

The early kick-off comes from White Hart Lane, home of North London’s only Champions League representative, Tottenham Hotspur. The visitor’s are West Ham United, in a tie being described as ‘the Olympic Stadium derby’. Here is the team news…

Spurs XI: Gomes, Corluka, Gallas, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Defoe

West Ham XI: Green, Jacobsen, da Costa, Upson, Bridge, O’Neil, Parker, Hitzlsperger, Noble, Cole, Ba

A lot of fantasy hopes pinned on this Spurs side, with favourites Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale in our preferred positions. The Welshman is out on the left wing, whilst the Dutchman plays behind Jermain Defoe in a 4-4-1-1 formation.

As for the visitors, Frederic Piquionne was unable to shake of a knock to make the squad, so Carlton Cole partners Demba Ba up front.

Then we’ve got six 3pm games, notably the top two both looking for three vital points. They’re followed by Everton versus Fulham in the evening fixture.

If England get walloped and Wales some how fluke a solid win is pretty much the only way England don't win I think.

Wales have to make up 42 points. So if England lose by 20, Wales have to beat France by 22.

Not happening - England for the title, but not the Slam.

Because the Six Nations is poor. The best team over here gets their a*se kicked by New Zealand or South Africa.

Ireland have never even been close to winning a WC.

thats RVP's goal all the way imo. meite had controlled it, van persie challenged for the ball completely changing the direction ending up with the ball going into the net. would be something seriously wrong if it goes down as a Meite own goal.

Young doing shit all again, why do we bother with him if he's so inconsistent? Getting 18 one week then 0 and 1 the next two.

Glad I'm having a fairly okay week though, actually above average for myself. Happy I made a 11.25 decision to swap Tevez for RVP, and not take rooney. That's unless Tevez smashes a double hattrick.

Because 19 over 3 weeks is 6.3 ppg, a decent return.

Well for a head to head league you need someone to get 7, 6, 6 instead. Fair enough for normal league though. I should have downing instead.

'Dimitar Berbatov has been told that he is not a guaranteed regular starter'

    Top drawer tweeting.

Arsenal bottled it again! So frustrating!

Arsenal just seem incapable of winning. I would love to fully understand the reason for their consistent inability to succeed when they really should.

Because they have no strong characters, no leaders, and no plan B and whoever they play, the tactics remain the same. There is another side to the game apart from silky skills. They really miss Fabregas also.

Does throwing on Chamakh + Bendtner and overturning a two goal deficit not count as a Plan B?

Another try or two here would give your boys something to play for later.

As per usual. He plays he gets the points.

He'll be in my team for next week, a fool I was for taking him out.
