We now have confirmation of dates for the last two remaining fixtures rescheduled in light of the FA Cup semi-finals. This time the chips didn’t fall exactly where we predicted, but it’s added a nice little twist to the run-in.

Fulham will now play host to Bolton on Wednesday April 27, while the night before we will see Stoke face Wolves at the Britannia…

What this means for Fantasy Managers is a full quarter of our Premier League stable (Man City, Fulham, Bolton, Stoke & Wolves) now face a confirmed gameweek 33 blank fixture, but to make up for that, all will have a double-gameweek to follow shortly after. As already confirmed, City will get their double-header in gameweek 36, while the remaining four clubs will now contest their matches in gameweek 34.

Looking at the fixtures around this new double gameweek, it raises a few question marks on the potential of heavy investment in the teams involved.

With their next three gameweeks looking decidedly nasty [CHE, tot, —], Stoke look a very questionable proposition, with Robert Huth owners set to consider their options. The allure of the double fixture does then lead into a reasonable run of opponents [avl/WLV, bpl, ARS, mcy, WIG], but clean sheets still look hard to come by in that run.

Wolves appear to offer more promise, and their closing season run [FUL/stk, bir, WBA, sun, BLA] could encourage Fantasy investment, particularly in midfield areas where Jamie O’Hara and Matt Jarvis are beginning to earn attention. Right now, they look set to be the likely key targets for gameweek 34.

Fulham may have a nice home tie with Blackpool this week, but everything around their newly appointed double fixture looks tough. Their schedule from gameweek 32 onwards is what nightmares are made of [mun, —, wlv/BOL, sun, LIV, bir, ARS]. Bolton’s double meanwhile, isn’t a hugely attractive one, but with kind opponents to follow ARS/ful, bla, SUN, bpl, MCY] they may yet earn some Fantasy suitors; the problem here is isolating a potential target with Daniel Sturridge perhaps the leading candidate.

Fantasy Managers must now analyse their squads to decipher how exactly they can navigate the tricky no-fixture zone of gameweek 33, whilst still coming out on top in the double gameweek that follows. You can of course look forward to our regular “Scouting the Doubles” articles leading up to all these fixtures to help you assess your options, and this situation is just crying out for the “Masterplan” treatment – expect that very soon.

Season tickers will be updated shortly the represent these new (and quite possibly last of the season) changes to the Fantasy calendar.

The bigger issue here is that you're able to draw on a comment from November to make a point.

Do you have some kind of catalogue system for these links?

That post is only on my system because it followed one of the most retarded posts I've ever seen, also by dbronaldo.

Imagine the comments he'd make on here if Terry has done made that mistake.

At the time of writing he was and had been for a few years.
Really bad of me to not anticipate he would go drinking, Villa would implode, he would fight with his new boss and lose his form.

64 appearances isn't a bad total is it?? Considering Wales haven't had the chance to play in tournaments, and Gigg's injury record was pretty poor before his yoga-size.

At last! Thank you, AP. I genuinely mean that.

But 64 appearances is poor compared to the nearly double that amount of games Wales played.

And the 19 times he played for United after pulling out of the Wales squad with injury leaves a sour taste.

But cheers for attacking the point and not the person.

As below, you're confused. I've said nothing about Giggs - i think the man is an absolute legend.

In fact i think several united players are ace and have stated so several times. Valencia, Vidic, Smalling even Hernandez and Nani.

I think Rooney is a cock just like i think plenty of non-united players are cocks, Terry, Carragher, Gerrard etc.

                In short: no

I do remember where i asked you to clarify what exactly it was you disagreed with in my post which you labelled as waste, after i'd clarified it. I can't recall a response.

And if you can remember, i said OT because i've been to OT when united are losing, can't say the same of the emirates, or Stamford bridge, or Anfield.

i.e. the decision to use OT as that example was based on my experience alone, and wasn't anything to do with the fact i dislike United (which i'll openly admit to).

Yeah, I read it, but don't understand what it meant (plus the grammar is a bit shoddy). Are you saying that because he is/was good he should've single-handedly got them to a tournament or something?

On a general point- lots of players retire early from internationals to prolong their careers and I don't particularly blame them.

I'd rather someone came clean than faked injuries every time a friendly comes around.

"Why not attack Jamie Carragher, Emile Heskey or even Roberto Carlos?"

                Really? You cant see it?

Jamie Carragher, Emile Heskey were average international who's presence wouldnt be missed.
Giggs is the best player in Welsh history and a level or two above must available while he played.
Add to the fact he has been going for 20 years and the fact he has only 60 caps in two decades then yes his career for Wales leaves much of what could of been.
He mentioned Bellamy who is always attacked and Giggs is loved but on the international front Bellamy has shown alot more commitment to his club.
Btw selecting Roberto Carlos with his 100s of caps was quite odd unless you actually didnt understand the pretense of the initial remark

So because he's good he's got more of a responsibility to play for Wales? Surely if you are 'average' you may as well not retire from international football as you won't play so much.

I know you don't really follow Man United all that much, but Ryan Giggs suffered from all sorts of injuries earlier in his career. This was a contributing factor to retiring from international football AFTER A SIXTEEN YEAR SERVICE.

How many games did Wales win during that stint? How many tournaments did they qualify for?

Btw I selected Roberto Carlos because he was around the same age as Giggs was when he retired.

But then again, you're not very good at comparisons...

Not really that big a surprise- we've been going through the motions all tournament.

I would have liked to see how we'd have done without those f*cking pointless seven ODI's after the ashes........

Goals or no goals, Wayne Rooney's passing, workrate and vision is worth having in any team.IMO if you are a natural goal scorer, Rooney is the ultimate strike partner

    'United Jerkicle' V Everyone Else.
Civil War Finally Breaks Out On FFScout!
After months of simmering tensions war was finally declared today when Locarno led the light reconnaissance regiment in a probe of the Giggs Defence Lines. He met stiff opposition from The 5th Armoured Akers Regiment and The 3rd Partridge Division.
He is currently being reinforced by the Imperial Shogunate Guards and the much vaunted 5th Columnists under Dbronaldo.

This could get messy. The Newcastle United Embassy staff are on high alert.
