We now have confirmation of dates for the last two remaining fixtures rescheduled in light of the FA Cup semi-finals. This time the chips didn’t fall exactly where we predicted, but itโ€™s added a nice little twist to the run-in.

Fulham will now play host to Bolton on Wednesday April 27, while the night before we will see Stoke face Wolves at the Britannia…

What this means for Fantasy Managers is a full quarter of our Premier League stable (Man City, Fulham, Bolton, Stoke & Wolves) now face a confirmed gameweek 33 blank fixture, but to make up for that, all will have a double-gameweek to follow shortly after. As already confirmed, City will get their double-header in gameweek 36, while the remaining four clubs will now contest their matches in gameweek 34.

Looking at the fixtures around this new double gameweek, it raises a few question marks on the potential of heavy investment in the teams involved.

With their next three gameweeks looking decidedly nasty [CHE, tot, —], Stoke look a very questionable proposition, with Robert Huth owners set to consider their options. The allure of the double fixture does then lead into a reasonable run of opponents [avl/WLV, bpl, ARS, mcy, WIG], but clean sheets still look hard to come by in that run.

Wolves appear to offer more promise, and their closing season run [FUL/stk, bir, WBA, sun, BLA] could encourage Fantasy investment, particularly in midfield areas where Jamie Oโ€™Hara and Matt Jarvis are beginning to earn attention. Right now, they look set to be the likely key targets for gameweek 34.

Fulham may have a nice home tie with Blackpool this week, but everything around their newly appointed double fixture looks tough. Their schedule from gameweek 32 onwards is what nightmares are made of [mun, —, wlv/BOL, sun, LIV, bir, ARS]. Boltonโ€™s double meanwhile, isn’t a hugely attractive one, but with kind opponents to follow ARS/ful, bla, SUN, bpl, MCY] they may yet earn some Fantasy suitors; the problem here is isolating a potential target with Daniel Sturridge perhaps the leading candidate.

Fantasy Managers must now analyse their squads to decipher how exactly they can navigate the tricky no-fixture zone of gameweek 33, whilst still coming out on top in the double gameweek that follows. You can of course look forward to our regular “Scouting the Doubles” articles leading up to all these fixtures to help you assess your options, and this situation is just crying out for the “Masterplan” treatment – expect that very soon.

Season tickers will be updated shortly the represent these new (and quite possibly last of the season) changes to the Fantasy calendar.

Sssshhh... the United Mafia will put a horse's head in your bed.

I should possibly have mentioned that I'm a huge fan of Giggs. He's easily the best player I've seen 'live'.

I just (quietly) made the comment that Bellamy may be a tw*t, but at least he's prepared to play for his country. Something Giggs - more than occasionally - wasn't.

Of course, that was a blatant attack on Manchester United, Sir Alex and every United fan in the world, and for that, I am truly sorry. ๐Ÿ™„

Speaking of that, it's good to see the coalition enforcing the no-fly zone by blowing up 100 Libyan tanks.

              Thereby ensuring they can't fly.

Let's be honest, the no-fly zone was never eally about that, it's about regime change.

IMO it's better to just destroy the Libyan army from the air in a couple of weeks than to pay for our jets to fly around pointlessly for months.

You've got a catalogue of anti-United comments. So when you make a comment about a United player (innocently or not), it gets taken the wrong way.

If you genuinely think Giggs should've played on for Wales then fine, but this is (very) debatable.

I recommend Berlin by Anthony Beevor to give you a real insight into Germany at the end of the war. Speer features quite prominently.

essays are all abotu original angles.

my advice is talk about the supply problems that were facing the german war maching when he took over when the other guy died that had the job before he did. Talk about the challenges he faced and how he dealt with them. should be pretty easy to find a timeline of major manufacturing losses/allied attcks, and you should show how the supply roblems pretty much dovetailed with the gradual retreat of german forces.

in fact, that sounds a brilliant piece.

It was obvious, it's also obvious that you NEVER think it's justified.

It's as if you see United's acheivements reflected in yourself which explains the need to jump and defend them at all times. And also why when they do well you talk about it as if it's YOU that has done well.

An old well respected sport Journo wrote a piece in Ireland about a year ago regarding the "rivalry " between the Celts and the English which I thought was bang on the money.
It went something like - Many assume the rivalry and willingness to see the English fail is based on bad blood, history of wars etc . It is not.
The joy is derived from the simple pleasure of seeing many of their Sports teams (rugby ,football) and media fall on there words constantly based on ludicrous self assessments based on unrealistic fantasy based levels of abilty and quality. Note he didnt say the fans but the teams and the media which almost fuel the team and round and round they go reaching higher levels . After the WC he wrote that no doubt the WC would soon be forgotten shortly which has it has been by the team and media. Thats why i love it. Sets it up for some more fun. ๐Ÿ˜€
Even though of course we havent got the quality to compare our media or Teams for that matter never build any performance up out of comparison. England are always good value. I cant wait for the Euros. ๐Ÿ˜€
