We now have confirmation of dates for the last two remaining fixtures rescheduled in light of the FA Cup semi-finals. This time the chips didn’t fall exactly where we predicted, but it’s added a nice little twist to the run-in.

Fulham will now play host to Bolton on Wednesday April 27, while the night before we will see Stoke face Wolves at the Britannia…

What this means for Fantasy Managers is a full quarter of our Premier League stable (Man City, Fulham, Bolton, Stoke & Wolves) now face a confirmed gameweek 33 blank fixture, but to make up for that, all will have a double-gameweek to follow shortly after. As already confirmed, City will get their double-header in gameweek 36, while the remaining four clubs will now contest their matches in gameweek 34.

Looking at the fixtures around this new double gameweek, it raises a few question marks on the potential of heavy investment in the teams involved.

With their next three gameweeks looking decidedly nasty [CHE, tot, —], Stoke look a very questionable proposition, with Robert Huth owners set to consider their options. The allure of the double fixture does then lead into a reasonable run of opponents [avl/WLV, bpl, ARS, mcy, WIG], but clean sheets still look hard to come by in that run.

Wolves appear to offer more promise, and their closing season run [FUL/stk, bir, WBA, sun, BLA] could encourage Fantasy investment, particularly in midfield areas where Jamie O’Hara and Matt Jarvis are beginning to earn attention. Right now, they look set to be the likely key targets for gameweek 34.

Fulham may have a nice home tie with Blackpool this week, but everything around their newly appointed double fixture looks tough. Their schedule from gameweek 32 onwards is what nightmares are made of [mun, —, wlv/BOL, sun, LIV, bir, ARS]. Bolton’s double meanwhile, isn’t a hugely attractive one, but with kind opponents to follow ARS/ful, bla, SUN, bpl, MCY] they may yet earn some Fantasy suitors; the problem here is isolating a potential target with Daniel Sturridge perhaps the leading candidate.

Fantasy Managers must now analyse their squads to decipher how exactly they can navigate the tricky no-fixture zone of gameweek 33, whilst still coming out on top in the double gameweek that follows. You can of course look forward to our regular “Scouting the Doubles” articles leading up to all these fixtures to help you assess your options, and this situation is just crying out for the “Masterplan” treatment – expect that very soon.

Season tickers will be updated shortly the represent these new (and quite possibly last of the season) changes to the Fantasy calendar.

What's your thoughts on Young FPL wise?

I've had him a few GWs and personally disagree with someone who said the other day they wouldn't go near him.

Perhaps not the best valued player but when you throw Villa's fixtures into the mix I think it makes him one of the best midfielders around. Just look at Villa's run from now until the end of the season and think Bent or Young are very good options.

I've got far too many problems before I get to him, but he's a good shout. A missed pen and three shots against the woodwork away from scoring huge in the past few weeks.

I have him, and I can assure I won't have him for long.

I'd prefer a cheaper option and upgrade my defence.

          "A missed penalty"

Yeah, but he regularly misses them. Sure he might score big some weeks, but he's a bit frustrating. However, I have more pressing transfers so he has a few weeks to deliver.

It's a good run, no doubt.

I just think Villa are underperforming so i'd rather go with Nasri/Adam i reckon.

I'm on a WC so he's probably going this week, i don't doubt that he will score well for the rest of the season - Villa are just a bit too unreliable at the moment imo.

Now that Bent has scored again for England hopefully lots of knee jerky people will buy him for their FPL teams.

I need him to rise in price several times this week so I can sell him for Tevez and fit in Adam for Nasri at the same time.

Just fed up of Villa players.

Bent doesn't score goals in braces this season and gets no love from the bonus judges. Tevez gets pens and baps and is still highly likely to outscore Bent over the remaining 8 gw's.

I'd get Rooney if I could afford him.

Also thinking about selling Bent for Beckford to free up funds for a punt on Fabs and Luiz for gw33.

Lots of ideas going round my head at the moment.

Jedward try talk about Politics, then the Queen and Obama and "cool".
Then they cant name any and claim people who only earn 10 euro an hour are sending them cards and they don t matter - then the other realizes what the other just says (and hopefully the implications) and mutters under his breath to stop talking

Then they start jumping on a couch.

Just complete and utter nonsense car crash tv.

I watched some of that last night
      CAR
      CRASH
      TV

What's even more weird is one seems the more intelligent of the two. One of them is the thickest person I've ever seen on TV - the other is joint second with Jade Goody.

Without trying to stir things up, the view in Wales (and there's loads of Man Utd fans here) in general is that Giggs may have been brillliant but he didn't always give his all. There were criticisms like that when he was made captain. His club always came first.

Love the Universe one though, especially this bit.

The india pakistan semifinal has been fixed already wtf? news is all over indian news pffft ðŸ™

basically, theres been billions of rupees bet from all over the world on an indian victory and therefore the bookies have fixed the match for india to lose. the man circled in the video is major bookie agent, and he was seen sitting in the indian cricket team dressing room throughout the previous match.
the man in the interview is ex income tax officer and his underground sources say that the fixing has already been finalised.

the video is in hindi, i cant be bothered to find an english one. so if you dont understand hindi, u r out of luck.

i hope that the leak of this news un-fixes the indo-pak semifinal.

no, the fixing has been done with the indian team.
The last time the man circled in the video (i.e. the bookie agent) was seen at the world cup was in the india south africa game. I think the scorecard explains itself...

Why would the Indians throw the World Cup semi-final, though? If they win the WC surely they'll get more money (prize money, spoonsorship in India, IPL contracts etc) than the bookies would be offering.

Plus the honour of winning a World Cup (maybe that's a bit naive...)

                in simple terms,
if india win, then bookies will have to payout tens of billions of rupees. yes, that many.
if india lose, bookies will have to shell out only a few hundred million rupees, which is why they can afford to fix matches as they would still be in heavy profit.

tournament winners get 120 million rupees, which is far less than what the bookies pay you. but moreover, the indian players are under pressure of being evicted from the team incase they dont cooperate with orders from the selectors with whom the entire fixing is done.
you want an example? joginder sharma bowled the final winning over in the T20 world cup 2007.
some things only happen in india... sadly.

btw, that bookie actually has the post of 'Media Coordinator' and thats the reason why he is allowed to be in the dressing room. in 2008 IPL he was accused of fixing and evicted from the entire circle of cricket, but has now re-emrged this time as 'media coordinator'.

You know that in every single game between these two naations, there are people claiming it's fixed. 1 of the major "fixers" in indian bookie circles yesterday said that the final would be south africa vs india and look how that turned out. I highly doubt this match will be fixed. Both teams will look to do well

people might have claimed before, but the man who should be in jail right now is instead sitting in the indian dressing room with a major job in an international event.
basically, there wasnt evidence before when claims used to be made, and there is more than evidence now.
although, im sure he'll be 'acquitted' again, as usual.
if you have a spare 90 minutes, watch this and u'll exactly know the power of politics.
