While we sit back and wait to see if Robin Van Persie can reward the faith of thousands of Fantasy Premier League armbands, our Members can start picking the statistical bones out of the games so far. The OPTA data for teams and players has been updated and Members can now use the Gameweek filter to view all the data.

My rudimentary glance reveals that, apart form the obvious glittering display from Wayne Rooney (more on that in the Knee Jerk), our Members should take note of the numbers produced by Antonio Valencia, Matt Etherington, Joey Barton, Leon Osman and Leighton Baines – they could be leading contenders for Fantasy Premier League Bonus with strong attacking contributions. Defensively meanwhile, standout showings include David Wheater, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker, Phil Jagielka and Roger Johnson.

    Odem's 10 on the bench in a low scoring GW is a shame but I still wouldn't start him ahead of RVP, Roonpig, A.Young, Nasri, VDV, Nolan or Nani given everyones respective fixtures.

    So I'm not bitter, I played my best cards and got a bad beat.

        Trust me the win against Pakistan was huge,But "Huge" doesn't even begin to describe this victory.

    Don't understand why nani have to come in for couple of minutes, game was already over...and I got r.johnson on my first sub.

    This morning it was decision who to bench, coleman, luiz or torres - then I put r.j. there cos "it's not wise to double on bir defenders"....I hate myself.
