With the Gameweek 32 deadline just 24-hours away, there’s one more thing to consider (for 128 Fantasy Managers) when it comes making those agonising transfer decisions. The draw for the third round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV has been made and can be viewed right here.

After his shock Quarter-Final exit in the Members’ edition, Gooner dave will be desperately looking put that behind him with a win against i campioni due. There’s almost 10,000 places between them in the overall standings, which should fill our reigning champ with confidence (not that he needs it).

We know there’ll be no cup double to end the season for Gooner dave, but nor will there be for anyone else – none of our Members’ Paddy Power Cup Semi-Finalists have progressed as far as the third round of the FFS Cup IV. Another Quarter-Finalist that made it however was ryangal1982, who will be expecting to be one step closer to repeating that feat as he squares up against the lowest-scoring winner from round two, Afc Chamelon.

The other former tournament winner still in the mix, Jonty, bizarrely faces an opponent on the exact same points as Gooner dave’s foe. Again there’s a 10,000 place gulf in this match-up, but unfortunately for Jonty, it’s bantamstu with that advantage.

Last week’s top-scorer, cm1mds, won’t feel he has to replicate his round two standard as (his opponent) yarkiebrown‘s six-figure ranking isn’t to be feared.

Having already “won” the title of “Last Scout Contributor Standing”, da Beeeez will be setting his sights a little further when he challenges milanista for a place in the last 64.

On the back of beating Breakballartist in the previous round, Locarno has been rewarded with a tie against the third-highest ranked manager in the competition and 90th in the world, Up_Top. It’s a New Zealand Vs. Australia showdown, with the Aussie going in as a huge favourite.

The second-highest of our three top 100 Fantasy Managers is 81st in the world Morts Macaroons. The recipient of this horror opponent is Tinkered To Death who, sitting just inside the top 100,000, can can consider himself mightily unlucky with his draw.

Finally, our numero uno in round three is maximo78. You’ll find him on page one of the Fantasy Premier League leader-board in 42nd place. Rotten luck for Ninja_Fit_Saints.

Other notable fixtures includes Soop against Antifreeze, dribbler versus Real Ale Madrid and daniel.mf taking on mregan84 to name just three.

All the best to the 128 going at it this weekend and, as always, I’ll bring you news of the results next week.

VdV to Lamps a good call for no hit? Don't have any Chelsea coverage for the run in and VdV as been off the pace recently and looks unfit.

    LAMPARD 😉

Given how key Lampard is and that he has played the full 90 mins for Chelsea virtually every game since returning from injury, surely it is a real possibility he could be rested tomorrow given the importance of Tuesday’s game.

So when is Chelsea's press conference today?

Hopefully he'll dropped for Tuesday's game.

      Cech
      Ivanovic Alex Terry Cole
      Ramires Essien
      Anelka Benayoun Malouda
      Torres

We need someone in the side who can actually pass the ball. That is the main problem for Torres, the fact that we currently don't have a single player capable of playing the sort of passes that he thrives on.

      Very good article on Torres:

      http://eircomsports.eircom.net/News/trouble-with-Torres.aspx

Chelsea, by contrast, don’t currently have that kind of architect. In that sense, Torres is a season too late. He would have benefitted from playing with Deco – who was well capable of threading through-balls – or, to a lesser extent, Michael Ballack. At the moment, Frank Lampard always occupies the attacking-midfield position that would offer this type of pass. Although he has many qualities, perception like that isn’t one of them. Instead, Lampard will often shoot where a true playmaker would look for the killer ball.

I partially blame Lampard for Shevchenko's failure at Chelsea, as well as Torres' indifferent start at the club. Obviously I'm in a minority though. The great Frankie Lampard can do no wrong in the eyes of most! Although a fair few Chelsea fans are beginning to turn against him.

Not sure about him being our best player, but then again I have no suggestion as to who actually was....

The signs were certainly a lot more encouraging though. His touch - which has been consistently poor since he joined - was much better, and his movement was typically good as well. It's just whenever he gets into the box that he has his problems!

People are getting far too carried away with the whole Torres affair, saying that he is playing terribly and that Ancelotti is a disgrace for continuing to pick him. Seems to be universally accepted that Drogba was much better than him on Wednesday, but I don't think that was the case at all. Drogba was being typically selfish and was continually attempting silly flicks etc, which invariably didn't work. His attitude is also a joke, just before being subbed he virtually gave up on the ball after Vidic blocked a cross from him, it was pathetic.

Well Bentley hasn't been doing much so can't see him doing much better than 6 in his DGW.

I'd have Lampard Young VDV Nasri Nani as midfield 5.

VDV has a DGW coming up so too does Nasri.

I'm bringing Tevez in for GW34 so for me it would depend on how much you'd lose getting him back.

I'd lose 0.3; I just don't see him doing too much for the next few weeks (with one dead week) was thinking of freeing some funds to bring in Adam. I could potentially dump Young for Adam at some point instead I suppose.

No tevez in a double. Are you mad?? Big risk that mate.

City will be going for CL places. Everton and Spurs are tough fixtures, but still fancy at least 10 points from Carlos over them 2 games.

Without a transfer my team is:

        Foster
        Luiz, Coleman, Walker
        Barton, Nasri, Young, Lampard, Nani
        RVP (c?), Tevez

Maybe I'll sit out this one then but I need to have a good replacement for Tevez for GW32.

          Ok I've got it:

Sit out this week, then Adam and Hughes in for Kolarov and Barton next week (hoping no money issues); obviously Hughes is not available but the downgrade allows me to bring in Adam and lines up Hughes for the DGW the next week.

          Just need no price changes!

I need to catch up. I've been first in my league most of the season the last couple of gameweeks by twice stupidly benching Bent and making transfers that haven't paid off. I've gone from 20 points ahead to nearing 30 points behind.

    My team is

    Foster, Begovich
    Kolarov, R.Johnson, Huth, Coleman, Walker
Barton, Nani, Nasri, van Der Vaart, A.Young
    Bent, Tevez, Carroll

    Any advice?

Ya, is solid like the gold. Although, some people rate silver as a more precious material in the long run...

I did the ol' Nani, VdV and Nasri gig out for a little bit of Lamps, Walcott and...Valencia! Gonna get me the big points.

Also, I would put a whole basket of fruit on Blackburn-Birmingham being a 0-0. It has been said, so it will be done. As above, as below.
