With the Gameweek 32 deadline just 24-hours away, there’s one more thing to consider (for 128 Fantasy Managers) when it comes making those agonising transfer decisions. The draw for the third round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV has been made and can be viewed right here.

After his shock Quarter-Final exit in the Members’ edition, Gooner dave will be desperately looking put that behind him with a win against i campioni due. There’s almost 10,000 places between them in the overall standings, which should fill our reigning champ with confidence (not that he needs it).

We know there’ll be no cup double to end the season for Gooner dave, but nor will there be for anyone else – none of our Members’ Paddy Power Cup Semi-Finalists have progressed as far as the third round of the FFS Cup IV. Another Quarter-Finalist that made it however was ryangal1982, who will be expecting to be one step closer to repeating that feat as he squares up against the lowest-scoring winner from round two, Afc Chamelon.

The other former tournament winner still in the mix, Jonty, bizarrely faces an opponent on the exact same points as Gooner dave’s foe. Again there’s a 10,000 place gulf in this match-up, but unfortunately for Jonty, it’s bantamstu with that advantage.

Last week’s top-scorer, cm1mds, won’t feel he has to replicate his round two standard as (his opponent) yarkiebrown‘s six-figure ranking isn’t to be feared.

Having already “won” the title of “Last Scout Contributor Standing”, da Beeeez will be setting his sights a little further when he challenges milanista for a place in the last 64.

On the back of beating Breakballartist in the previous round, Locarno has been rewarded with a tie against the third-highest ranked manager in the competition and 90th in the world, Up_Top. It’s a New Zealand Vs. Australia showdown, with the Aussie going in as a huge favourite.

The second-highest of our three top 100 Fantasy Managers is 81st in the world Morts Macaroons. The recipient of this horror opponent is Tinkered To Death who, sitting just inside the top 100,000, can can consider himself mightily unlucky with his draw.

Finally, our numero uno in round three is maximo78. You’ll find him on page one of the Fantasy Premier League leader-board in 42nd place. Rotten luck for Ninja_Fit_Saints.

Other notable fixtures includes Soop against Antifreeze, dribbler versus Real Ale Madrid and daniel.mf taking on mregan84 to name just three.

All the best to the 128 going at it this weekend and, as always, I’ll bring you news of the results next week.

I'm not an expert on this, but I've found that to be flawed in the past, a few weeks back someone went up when it said protected I think.

His yellow flag was removed on 1 April. It being 8 April, I'd say he is either still protected, or has recently become unprotected and therefore his NTI is below 100%. I could be wrong about this.

What's important to note is that FPL does NOT say whether he is still protected or not; it just says that he was AT SOME POINT protected, and so his NTI might be overstated. It all depends on whether 100% of his 168% came after that protection ended. Many people don't get this.

PFA Players Player of Year nominees: Gareth Bale, Charlie Adam, Samir Nasri, Scott Parker, Carlos Tevez, Rafael van der Vaart, Nemanja Vidic

I need to catch up. I’ve been first in my league most of the season the last couple of gameweeks by twice stupidly benching Bent and making transfers that haven’t paid off. I’ve gone from 20 points ahead to nearing 30 points behind.

    My team is

    Foster, Begovich
    Kolarov, R.Johnson, Huth, Coleman, Walker
Barton, Nani, Nasri, van Der Vaart, A.Young
    Bent, Tevez, Carroll

    1.7 in the bank

    Any advice?

Urgghh... just looked at my opponent's team. Never seen post on here, but I'm guessing that's because he's too busy making quality player picks.

      i.e. Not getting Torres in.

Tempted to actually give Torres the armband - think of the differential when he fires in four, and RVP gets injured...

You know that the reverse is more likely, and since ur H2H, RVP is as much a differential as Torres

That said, I'd like to see Torres score a brace on the weekend, ready to tear United apart (with the obligatory Vidic red card, of course)

I've gone for Fergies horse - What A Friend. Paul Nicholls usually has a good runner and I've heard its doing well. I got it 14/1 earlier in the week (€5 E/W). Also considering the two fancied ones Midnight Club (Ruby Walsh) and Dont Push It (Tony McCoy).
Hello Bud (33/1) is worth a couple of quid as is Arbor Supreme (20/1) trained by Willie Mullins.

I was there last year and AP gave it a magnificent ride and it won well. Midnight Club has a good weight so I think is favoured

Transfers done, this tipped me over the edge in favour of dropping that disaster Zigic for Wellbeck and Tevez OUT RVP IN, can afford Lampard and Luiz now next week, team is:

    Foster
    Coleman/Walker/Kolarov
    Nani/Adam/VDV/Young/Nasri
    RVP(C)/Wellbeck

    Begovic/Huth/Carr/Rooney

    game on.

    Foster (Bergovic)
Kolorov, Luiz, R Johnson (Huth, Djorou)

I went for Foster as you can see above. I did consider Bergovic though Foster just gets soo many save points and has a chance of Bonus imo more than Bergovic. Also I think Foster has a slim chance of a cleanie whereas I think Spurs will score. But what do I know ..

I don't like any of those moves, purely because you will want Rooney back next week, he is United's most consistant performer of late and is really hitting his stride.

I would prefer Zigic OUT Wellbeck IN (what I did this week) or SEB IN, alternatively Nolan OUT Jarvis IN could be a good move bar the fact that he will be missing a game next week.
