With the Gameweek 32 deadline just 24-hours away, there’s one more thing to consider (for 128 Fantasy Managers) when it comes making those agonising transfer decisions. The draw for the third round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IV has been made and can be viewed right here.

After his shock Quarter-Final exit in the Members’ edition, Gooner dave will be desperately looking put that behind him with a win against i campioni due. There’s almost 10,000 places between them in the overall standings, which should fill our reigning champ with confidence (not that he needs it).

We know there’ll be no cup double to end the season for Gooner dave, but nor will there be for anyone else – none of our Members’ Paddy Power Cup Semi-Finalists have progressed as far as the third round of the FFS Cup IV. Another Quarter-Finalist that made it however was ryangal1982, who will be expecting to be one step closer to repeating that feat as he squares up against the lowest-scoring winner from round two, Afc Chamelon.

The other former tournament winner still in the mix, Jonty, bizarrely faces an opponent on the exact same points as Gooner dave’s foe. Again there’s a 10,000 place gulf in this match-up, but unfortunately for Jonty, it’s bantamstu with that advantage.

Last week’s top-scorer, cm1mds, won’t feel he has to replicate his round two standard as (his opponent) yarkiebrown‘s six-figure ranking isn’t to be feared.

Having already “won” the title of “Last Scout Contributor Standing”, da Beeeez will be setting his sights a little further when he challenges milanista for a place in the last 64.

On the back of beating Breakballartist in the previous round, Locarno has been rewarded with a tie against the third-highest ranked manager in the competition and 90th in the world, Up_Top. It’s a New Zealand Vs. Australia showdown, with the Aussie going in as a huge favourite.

The second-highest of our three top 100 Fantasy Managers is 81st in the world Morts Macaroons. The recipient of this horror opponent is Tinkered To Death who, sitting just inside the top 100,000, can can consider himself mightily unlucky with his draw.

Finally, our numero uno in round three is maximo78. You’ll find him on page one of the Fantasy Premier League leader-board in 42nd place. Rotten luck for Ninja_Fit_Saints.

Other notable fixtures includes Soop against Antifreeze, dribbler versus Real Ale Madrid and daniel.mf taking on mregan84 to name just three.

All the best to the 128 going at it this weekend and, as always, I’ll bring you news of the results next week.

            It could work both ways:

            - Take Terry off to 'rest him' for Man Utd.
            - Take Luiz off to give Terry and Alex 40 minutes or so back together.

Unfortunately, we don't know. But you've got to play Luiz if you have him regardless.

    Foster (Begovic)
    Johnson R, Evatt, Coleman (Hangeland)(Bardsley)
VDV, Young A, Nani, Adam, Meireles
    Drogba, Van Persie (Odemwingie)

If anyone had the time or the inclination to have a butchers at my team (linked) i'd appreciate any advice.
Defence is a mess, and no chelski coverage as of yet.
Have a few ideas, but quite frankly nothing I'm happy with.

Rooneys a keeper for me. My vague plan is vidic and vdv for luiz and lamps (for a 4 pointer)
My problem is vidic has a good fixture, as does vdv.

    Lampard or RVP capt???????????????????????
my team for the gameweek is..........

    Mignolet
    Luiz, Bardsley, Baines
    Nani, Lampard, Adam, Young, Nasri
    Hoilett, Van Persie

I've been struggling with this as well, but I think the more obvious choice is RVP. Wigan drew with Spurs last week whilst Blackpool conceded 3. Makes more sense, unfortunately most people will captain him, but its safe(r) points in my opinion

Nolan and Saha out -> leaves me with 16.9 in the bank.

    Foster
    Vidic Baines Luiz
    AYoung Nani vdV .....
    van Persie Odemwingie .....
    (Begovic, R Johnson, Coleman, Ferguson)

    Option A:
Lampard and Hoilett in (0.0$ left)

    Option B:
Kalou and 9.8 forward (Bent or Berbs)
I’m interested in what you think of the Kalou idea.

And lastly – Odemwingie to play, R Johnson & Coleman to be benched. Any views?

    Alright gents 🙂

    VDV > Walcott
    Zigic > Welbeck

for a 4 point hit, opinions? I know Walcott is a doubt, so would it be better to save the hit to keep VDV and just bring in Welbeck for this GW?, maybe bring Walcott in for the DGW?

My plan was to get luiz and RVP in for baines and rooney (both free transfers) which would raise enough money to get fabregas in for etherington next GW to prepare myself sufficiently for the DGW33. Now that carlo has said he'll bring alex on should i just do rooney to RVP this week and then the double swap of luiz and fabregas in next week (that would be free as id be carrying my frees over)

I wouldnt do it mate bruce will always revert back to gordon at some point so its just leaving yourself a transfer to deal with later. If you dont mind that however then hes probably fine in the short term. Oh im not a mackem, sorry.

I dont think Mingolet will play everygame until the end of the season :/ Bruce loves Gordon and if he wasnt nearing fitness he wouldnt be on the bench for sland and scotland after being assessed by two different medical teams. just my 5ps worth.

    RVP/gyan/bent

Can anyone suggest my starting gk? I know they'll both probably concede but who will make more saves? thanks!

Id say walker. Toon without nolan lessens them vastly as a team unit. Zigic probably wont play.
