From the outset, this was always looking like a tricky double gameweek for the four teams involved and today’s results only offered confirmation. While Bolton still have their two games to go (ARS & ful), owners of Wolves players will be cursing their luck as the likes of Jamie O’Hara and Matthew Jarvis drew blanks this afternoon, allowing the unlikely duo of Karl Henry and Steven Fletcher to pick up the points, with an assist and a goal respectively in the 1-1 draw with Fulham at Molineux. Wolves next game, a trip to the Britannia to face a Stoke side in their first home game since grabbing a place in the FA Cup Final, looks a difficult fixture that hardly inspires hope.

Fantasy Owners of both Stoke and Fulham players, on the other hand, should still approach the midweek games with plenty optimism. Both clubs are facing very winnable home ties and a reminder of their home form should offer some reassurance.

Fulham are unbeaten in their last six games at Craven Cottage, winning five and drawing the other. This run has saw them average two goals a game and chalk up a fantastic five clean sheets. Bolton, their midweek opponents, have lost eight of their last nine away and have never scored more than once in that run.

So if you’re one of the 112,000 that drafted in Clint Dempsey this week, fear not. Pre-Bonus allocation, the American may have returned just two points, but this gameweek is far from finished for Fulham. The same applies to owners of Bobby Zamora, who was drafted by 72,000 managers, only to start the proceedings on the bench. Zamora did grab an assist in his 22 minute second-half cameo and today’s rest may strengthen his chances of a midweek start.

Stoke’s home form? Almost as good. Four wins and two draws in six, with three clean sheets and an average of just over two goals per game should brighten the evening of Fantasy managers frustrated after the 1-1 draw at Villa Park. Midweek opponents Wolves have picked up eight away points all season and Pulis’ side look likely to take advantage.

While Kenwyne Jones has already vindicated his selection in Big Dunc’s Spot the Differential, next Tuesday’s match offers other a second bit at the cherry for the rest of Pulis’ side. In particular, for owners of Robert Huth or Matthew Etherington-subject of 43,000 and 76,000 transfers in respectively- there’s still 90 minutes against Big Mick’s boys to go….

Maybe, not sure I'd actually go through with it, either him or Ashley Young away to West Brom but that game is likely to have goals.

RVP doesn't score this season against bigger clubs and Utd will naturally boss the game 🙂

Well RVP's form is second to none.
I'm looking forward to bringing in Balotelli, but I don't expect him to outscore RVP

But .. whilst I think Drogs is being sharp .. now Fernando has scored .. is Drogs a guaranteed starter .. I guess not ..

Couldn't resist responding to AB's little jibe about Rooney not getting bonus points at the expense of Little Pea.

I have had a sneak look at the stats and in all fairness, if you look at the 'Distribution and Influence' stats then Rooney dominates the gamesweek. In the role off the striker, coupled with his workrate he dominates the top 2 for this gw so far - touches, dribbles, passes etc. Is that surprising though?

Little Pea had 4 shots on target from 4 and tops the 'Goal Threat' stats so far this gw. He's done all he can do for a 'hang off the last man' striker.

Based on each players position Rooney deserved some bonus points, however, those stats don't reflect Little Pea's endless running off the ball to create space and make the chances. Rooney fluffed once golden assist opportunity in the first half when he should have played the ball earlier to Little Pea.

Anyway, you didn't really think that the solitary goalscorer in the game wasn't going to get 3 baps 😉

Jagielka was the best player on the pitch for the majority of the match; he made numerous goal saving tackles/interventions. I would've probably given 2 bps to Distin and 1 to Anderson!

agree. i still think jagielka had a better game than rooney and hernandez (the main reason it was 0-0 at 80 mins imo). when a player brings what hernandez does to the table then his goals should be his points imo, that's my point. both hernandez and rooney gave the ball away more in this game than they proabbly have done in the last 5 combined

oh and i don't think you should get bonus for running off the ball. it's great but it's completely unquantifiable.
my favourite part of the game was when rooney hit a 40 yard pass diagonally over the top for hernandez, it was slightly over-hit and hernandez mis-controlled and it went out for a goal kick. what did the commentator say? wow this rooney hernandez partnership is really starting to show signs of brilliance. i couldn't believe what i was hearing.it's like the carroll suarez partnership, praise it when it actually does something, don't patronise them by ejaculating over them giving away a goal kick
