From the outset, this was always looking like a tricky double gameweek for the four teams involved and today’s results only offered confirmation. While Bolton still have their two games to go (ARS & ful), owners of Wolves players will be cursing their luck as the likes of Jamie O’Hara and Matthew Jarvis drew blanks this afternoon, allowing the unlikely duo of Karl Henry and Steven Fletcher to pick up the points, with an assist and a goal respectively in the 1-1 draw with Fulham at Molineux. Wolves next game, a trip to the Britannia to face a Stoke side in their first home game since grabbing a place in the FA Cup Final, looks a difficult fixture that hardly inspires hope.

Fantasy Owners of both Stoke and Fulham players, on the other hand, should still approach the midweek games with plenty optimism. Both clubs are facing very winnable home ties and a reminder of their home form should offer some reassurance.

Fulham are unbeaten in their last six games at Craven Cottage, winning five and drawing the other. This run has saw them average two goals a game and chalk up a fantastic five clean sheets. Bolton, their midweek opponents, have lost eight of their last nine away and have never scored more than once in that run.

So if you’re one of the 112,000 that drafted in Clint Dempsey this week, fear not. Pre-Bonus allocation, the American may have returned just two points, but this gameweek is far from finished for Fulham. The same applies to owners of Bobby Zamora, who was drafted by 72,000 managers, only to start the proceedings on the bench. Zamora did grab an assist in his 22 minute second-half cameo and today’s rest may strengthen his chances of a midweek start.

Stoke’s home form? Almost as good. Four wins and two draws in six, with three clean sheets and an average of just over two goals per game should brighten the evening of Fantasy managers frustrated after the 1-1 draw at Villa Park. Midweek opponents Wolves have picked up eight away points all season and Pulis’ side look likely to take advantage.

While Kenwyne Jones has already vindicated his selection in Big Dunc’s Spot the Differential, next Tuesday’s match offers other a second bit at the cherry for the rest of Pulis’ side. In particular, for owners of Robert Huth or Matthew Etherington-subject of 43,000 and 76,000 transfers in respectively- there’s still 90 minutes against Big Mick’s boys to go….

If Foster is indeed injured for next week, gotta do Foster -> Joe Hart & double up on Man City defense looking at next 3 GWs. Raise money by doing Nani -> Yaya or Adam Johnson. Not sure which one of the two yet. Sounds like a solid plan - opinions? Maybe some of you are thinking the same.

Gonna have to keep an eye on price rises this week, considering Nani and Zamora to Silva and Balotelli next week and if I want Joe Hart in for Begovic for the double I only have 0.1m to play with.

Who said money doesn't matter at this part of the season!?!

Game Applebonkers has set up where you pick 3 strikers each week, who you think will score the most. But the most obvious choices i.e Drogba against West Ham or Rooney against Wigan get less points for their goals than say Ameobi against chelsea

Mostly it's because he picked 3 strikers who scored, but me being stuck with Beckford and Ba away to United and Chelsea helped a little.

Looks likes this season is for Chelski..! They are pumped up..! however, I think Lamps wont get much chance but Toress, drogs, malouda.

On other hand manu is going with old tatics of defensive mode, which makes every chance for them not to score enough. (last minute goals may not happen in every game)

Really thinking of selling Nani...! (and also lamps, only because after his goal, their manager was least bothered)

true. imo they should keep the 4-3-3. drogba really can play anywhere in it, even on the left. he may look like a square peg in a round hole there but he's such a menace as long as he's on the pitch it doesn't matter where he's playing.
imo accommodate drogba into the exisitng formation, don't change the formation to accommodate torres

Also, malouda is fair more effective in, or on the edge of, the final third rather than the middle third. 4-3-3 makes sense, Lampard - Essien - Ramires in the middle in some format or other.

Just looking at the top scorer's history...he went mental on transfers GW25-27 but has made none for the past 5. Which suggests he's lost interest and will never see that he's number one (an achievement none of us will ever have).

      Unlucky.

Perhaps your thinking of a different GW, the Rooney DGW GW gave the top scorer something like 184

next week in need to sell nani or dempsey for yaya, and bench the one i dont play

    who do you sell?

i cant consider gyan->balotelli because the only defender Id could sell to afford kolarov too is luiz and hes staying.

is gyan->carroll worth a transfer instead? or even odemwingie, though im convinced Ive missed that train.
better to sell a crocked player for a non city option or sell one of dempsey/nani?

Next two weeks: Walcott to Yaya, Suarez to Balo and Ethers to VDV

Is Bale also worth getting in for DGW? He's done frak all recently, but haven't seen him play, to tell if he's worth a punt.

Settle an argument for me, Is there a footballer as technically poor in the premier league as John Walters (who isn't a centre back)?

Maybe Keith Andrews or Paul "all mouth, no trousers" Robinson, but struggling to think of anyone else.

I'm not a fan, though a City striker for the next couple looks pretty damned important.

Probably be a 3 point haul. 3 games 3 yellows, but we can hope!
