The Dugout Discussion opens up bright and early on this Bank Holiday Sunday as we look forward to a bumper feast of footballing action.

Birmingham play host to Wolves and Liverpool welcome Newcastle to Anfield first as the mid-day kick-offs see all those skippering Dirk Kuyt and Luis Suarez (yours truly included) hoping for a good start. Then it’s Arsenal’s turn to host Manchester United as Alex Ferguson looks to either get one hand firmly on the Premier League trophy or open up a crunch game with Chelsea next week. Finally, Manchester City play host to bottom of the table West Ham as all those backing David Silva with their captaincy are made to wait.

Full line-ups sourced from the official website on our two early kick-offs follow…

Birmingham XI: Foster; Carr, Johnson, Jiranek, Ridgewell; Larsson, Ferguson, Bowyer, Gardner; Phillips, Jerome

Wolves XI: Hennessey; Mancienne, Stearman, Craddock, Elokobi; Foley, O’Hara, Henry, Jarvis; Fletcher, Ward.

Two changes for the home side see Barry Ferguson and Kevin Phillips bring their many years of experience back to the starting XI in place of Keith Fahey and Aleksander Hleb. A fit again George Elokobi comes straight back in to the side, while Kevin Foley also starts as Wolves also make two changes.

Liverpool XI: Reina; Flanagan, Carragher, Skrtel, Johnson; Lucas, Spearing, Maxi, Meireles; Kuyt, Suarez

Newcastle XI: Krul; Simpson, Williamson, Coloccini, Jose Enrique; Barton, Tiote, Nolan, Gutierrez; Ameobi, Lovenkrands

Andy Carroll has to make do with a place on the bench versus his old side, so hat-trick hero Maxi Rodriguez retains his place while Dirk Kuyt stays up front. Glen Johnson also returns from injury. Newcastle are unchanged.

Three games on the trot, televised, with little room for a break inbetween. Time to settle in, head into the Dugout Discussion if it takes your fancy, and look forward to six hours of consecutive Premier League action.

Chris Foy is really breaking up Arsenal's attacks well today.

Well Vidic should be banned for the Chelsea game but oh well.

Well that was a letdown. Not too bad quality wise but United just sit back and play Mourinho-football and Arsenal can't unlock the defence. And a missed penalty that could've shaken things up. Disappointed.

It's such a disgrace! Chris Foy knows it was a penalty otherwise he would have booked RVP for going upto the linesman the way he did. Absolute joke.

Not a bad half, Arsenal predictably having most of the possession but haven't really created that much considering. Anderson putting in a good shift (as usual against Arsenal). Koscielny doing well at the back.

Valencia ON Nani OFF please, and that's coming from someone with Nani in his team, awful stuff.

i'm as annoyed as anyone because i have vanpersie and main rival has vidic (and no vanp)

but anyway - people - stop blaming the linesman... He didn't see it in realtime from his angle. Neither did I. neither did you

did ANYONE apart from van persie see it? No.

It's not the linesman's fault, it was disguised and was only really noticeable from a few angles.

Linesmen and referees are expected to be miracles of nature, and always get the blame for not being as good at making decisions. Nobody in the world could do that job without getting grief.

        Certainly looked that way.

However, I've more sympathy for a linesman that didn't see something that did happen (today), than one that did see something that didn't happen (yesterday).

Neither is good linesmanning, but I can see how he might not have seen it.

Is a bit odd. Mind you it took him 6 to learn penalties. He'll have mastered throw-ins next year.

I have to admit, I've been impressed with Rooney's cross field balls this year

Just caught a glimpse of Kolarov getting ready for the game. My, did he look like a determined fella. I even noticed him pick his "shooting" boots from his sportsbag. He's gonna go nuts today, I can sense it. *where nuts = subbed after 45 mins having been embarassed by Jacobsen.

Are you sure it was a determined look - or is he just constipated?
