The final whistle has blown on all ten Premier League games around the country and for Blackpool and Birmingham, it sounded more like a death knell, as the pair joined West Ham in dropping to the Championship.

Blackburn’s surprise win over Wolves at Molineux meant Steve Kean’s side escape the drop thanks to a stunning first forty five minute performance that saw Rovers storm to a 3-0 half-time lead. Goals from Jamie O’Hara and Stephen Hunt were not enough to earn a draw but results elsewhere saw Mick McCarthy’s side stay in the top-flight next season.

Two goals from Roman Pavlyuchenko proved the undoing of Birmingham at White Hart Lane to condemn Alex McLeish’s side to relegation. Craig Gardner cancelled out the Russian’s early second-half strike but a goal deep into injury time means the Carling Cup winners will be playing both European and Championship football in 2011/12.

Wigan’s two main threats combined when it mattered most to clinch their survival; Charles N’Zogbia crossing for Hugo Rodallega to score his first goal in five games and condemn Stoke to their first home defeat in nine matches, earning the Latics a place in next season’s Premier League.

Goals from Charlie Adam and Gary Taylor-Fletcher afforded Blackpool plenty hope at Old Trafford but in the end, Man United’s class (and an unfortunate Ian Evatt own goal) dumped the Seasiders out the Premier League in Edwin Van der Sar’s final home game for the champions.

This means we wave goodbye to Fantasy Premier League (FPL) favourites such as Charlie Adam and Ben Foster, though the pair will surely be hotly pursued over the next couple of months and will be expected to earn themselves moves back to the top-flight. The likes of DJ Campbell and Roger Johnson could well jump straight back up too, given their displays over the season.

In Fantasy Football Scout related news, Granville has won the all-important race for bragging rights over the summer, beating Mark in a final day shootout. The next podcast should make for interesting listening, then.

This upcoming week we’ll be starting our 2010/11 Season Review, focusing on the players you vote for in our position by position polls.

Fantasy Football Scout would like to say a big thanks for all your support this season. Stay tuned for more to come, folks. There’s plenty up our sleeves.

So the season ends and the debrief begins. One very frustrating and ultimately, disappointing season. No score over 100 and once in the top 100.

The No Hits strategy. Whilst it guarantees you place in the top 1k, I have discovered that there is a time and a place to use a hit. Such times include:

    - prior to favourable dgws
    - used for a long term transfer
    - threadbare squads affected by injuries

    Feedforward for FPL:

Please oh please, scrap the second wildcard. Totally unnescessary and players who drop out once, are just as likely to drop out twice.

    Feedforward for FFS:

    - I would really like to see FFS setting up cash leagues like Metro. As a site that promotes and is supported by professional bookmakers, the opportunity needs to be explored whether members would be interested in this venture. From the messages on here, I believe there would be support for this.

    - The forum replies need some work. Too hard at times to actually work out who is replying to who.

Thank you for all the research, the data and the continuous hard work that goes into maintaining and developing this site.

    Jafa.

The no (or very few) hits strategy only guarantees you a place in the top 1k if you make the right transfers. Otherwise you could easily end up outside the top 10k!

I've had a very poor season, but won all my mini leagues so I'll live with it.

I was ranked 8K places above you after gw24. Then my season derailed in spectacular fashion!

Not following my own advice in gw34 the main reason. Lost interest after that.

I only discovered this site in January and it's been invaluable. I didn't quite win my mini-league but did much better than I expected to by finishing 2nd - I actually had 3 weeks at the top.

Next season I will definitely become a paid-up member.

I can't wait to see the info coming in over the summer as I start to think about building my new team next season.

First season over. I was shit at the beginning, cheapest possible defence (including a non-playing 3,9 keeper and Carson playing everyweek), took 80 hits until GW18 and had a rank of 1 122 046 then.

Ended up with rank of 74 748 now and 4th in my minileague (24th in GW18). So no cash for me, 3th got some. Well, I'm definite I'm gonna win next year so can't wait. Thank to everyone on this site, keep up the good work!

140th in world - 5th in country, best season for me yet. N'Zogbia assist taken away cost me 3rd in country.

Wasted a lot of points at the start on Boselli! and other dross as recommended in all the RMT's at the start of the year. But we learn.

I used both wildcards, took 4 point hits, and pretty much did everything wrong. Often played with 4.0 in the bank as the big names floundered. I think that was the one outstanding part of this season, the relatively few sure things - no Ronaldo/Lampard/Henry to make the game 'boring', we all pick and captain the same. This season was great for out the box thinking.

I reckon Boselli's was last year's SEB (although I wasn't on FFS at the beginning of last season)... really wonder who'll be next (I also jumped on both wagons ;))

Let's start the Adel Taarabt bandwagon right now.

If Boselli was last year's SEB, Taraabt with be next season's Chris Eagles.

Thanks to everyone who made helpful coments on my team - you know who you are; and thanks to all the scouts for sacrificing their time to make our transfer decisions easier. The podcasts have been absolutely fantastic this year too.

So, i'm guessing the position changes are going to be

Kompany, Coleman, maybe Ward, Walcott, Elmo

silva, he will be the man, he progressed massively since the start of teh season and if he can continue, he will be the must have.

too bad he's a little soft on the finishing though

      Frontline: RvP/Suarez/Odem/Hernandez (rotation risk)/Hoilet
      Midfield: Tchoyi/Valencia/VdV/Tarabat (bandwagon go)
      Defence: Baines/Kompany/Fabio
      Goalkeepers: all muck
