We’re delighted to begin the public testing of the new version of Fantasy Football Scout. From tonight our Members can get exclusive access our Beta Test server where they can use their existing login to view and use a test version of the new site and its features. To be clear, this is not a new Members site (although an upgrade to the Members Area is part of it), this is a whole new Fantasy Football Scout which will soon be made available to all.

Members can click here to login.

Please drop us a line (support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk) if you have issues logging in – we may have some teething problems with this so please bear with us.

The site currently in test is not yet complete but we feel we’re ready to begin getting feedback on the new design and, in particular the new comments system.

The progress to this point is as a result of months of investment and has involved a design development team who have worked tirelessly. I’d like to extend a big thanks to Ed and Sean our programming team and to Will our designer for their efforts and patience over the recent months.

This is just the beginning though – the work and improvements continue. The Beta Test offers the first glimpse of the news site as it comes together. The aim is to collect feedback, react to it as necessary, iron out any wrinkiles and get the new site live before the new season.

There are also bags of new features yet to go in – new injuries and bans systems, new team news layouts and a host of new widgets and features for members to improve their experience.

We’d be very grateful to those members who would take the time to visit the Beta Test site, take a look around and start using the comment system to leave feedback.

A greeting post, offering details of just what’s new is on the homepage waiting.

would anyone agree that the womans game would flourish more if the pitch and nets were shortened by 20% and they played 9 a side.

the standard football pitch is designed based ob the physical abilities of men while the size of the actual goals is also based on the reach of a man.

Not just pitches, but the posts too. Which council is going to mark out a pitch just for women's football, or start scribbling out the lines between men and women's games? None are, so changing the dimensions of the pitch and making the goals smaller would mean that there is nowhere for them to play.

im sure in the sake of equality councils will amke the effort
you should be aware thta on most multi-pitch playing fields there are 1 or 2 pitches that organisers generally designate for the women's game anyway

Your local council has more money than mine then! There's barely enough playable pitches as it is.

When you say they generally designate for the women's game, what do you mean? Don't they already play on the same size with the same size goals? I thought that was your original point.

yeah they do, but its always like, the young boys are on pitch 1 and 2, the women on pithces 3 & 4, the teenagers on pitch 5-9, adults pitch 10-20 and then maybe teams of a decent standard on the higher ground (better drainage) pitches 21 & 22. something like that πŸ™‚

i kniw what your getting at in terms of practicality, but i just thought that their matches suffer from the women trying to perform at the same athletic level as men

I do agree with what you're saying (it seems quite easy to chip a goalie) but only in theory. Practically I can't see it working, not only at grass roots level but at semi-pro/pro. Councils and clubs in general just don't have the money to keep chopping and changing.

Yep, at that age male players are already superior to women. Their game has come a long way in the last years though. I enjoyed this world cup and I don't see why they can't improve more.

Yeah doesn't surprise me. I was watching the U17 World cup and it just struck me that these boys would absolutely destroy all those womans teams. Wonder what ages you'd have to go down to in order to get a competitive game? I guess the U14s would struggle physically.

Yeah the U17 boys were really really good, some male players break into first of their clubs and that age.

I think 14 or 15 too. Boys gain muscles and explosivity (is that even a word in English?) really quickly somewhere around that age that some women can never even get. As you say though at 14 the boys would probably lose but at 15 I think they'd have a good chance to win.

If they were playing for the national side, then I think they'd win physically, There are some hench 14 year olds out there, and fast, its going to be the 'developed' ones that are in the national team.

I think mentally they wouldn't be able to cope, and perhaps skill level as well, physically I think they would be apt.

I'm sure they will go into developing the file further at some stage but he was hired with the business idea for the chair, they are making the chair.

Im pretty sure Lord Sugar said something along the lines of lets not talk about the chair again.

He's not going to invest 250k on an idea he doesn't like just becasue Tom won the show.

imo he was on the losing team a lot as he didn't push his ideas through enough, ideas which after task proved to be good ones.
not sure about the product but it's a chair, almost everyone is a potential consumer. organic skin care is very niche

              Everyone has skin.

Super expensive/unecessary (as Sugar suggested) chairs are just as niche imo

also agree with your summary of the last week above that it's all about the person. still enjoyed the plan bit though
