We’re delighted to begin the public testing of the new version of Fantasy Football Scout. From tonight our Members can get exclusive access our Beta Test server where they can use their existing login to view and use a test version of the new site and its features. To be clear, this is not a new Members site (although an upgrade to the Members Area is part of it), this is a whole new Fantasy Football Scout which will soon be made available to all.

Members can click here to login.

Please drop us a line (support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk) if you have issues logging in – we may have some teething problems with this so please bear with us.

The site currently in test is not yet complete but we feel we’re ready to begin getting feedback on the new design and, in particular the new comments system.

The progress to this point is as a result of months of investment and has involved a design development team who have worked tirelessly. I’d like to extend a big thanks to Ed and Sean our programming team and to Will our designer for their efforts and patience over the recent months.

This is just the beginning though – the work and improvements continue. The Beta Test offers the first glimpse of the news site as it comes together. The aim is to collect feedback, react to it as necessary, iron out any wrinkiles and get the new site live before the new season.

There are also bags of new features yet to go in – new injuries and bans systems, new team news layouts and a host of new widgets and features for members to improve their experience.

We’d be very grateful to those members who would take the time to visit the Beta Test site, take a look around and start using the comment system to leave feedback.

          If you look across the Fantasy Games released so far, Ben Arfa has been massivly underpriced. Cheaper, for example, than Taraabt or Sinclair in every one that I have seen, which in FPL terms may just put him in at 4.5.

          This is what getting a "promoted team price" and then spending an entire season on the treatment table will do to you. He'll be 5.0 or 4.5 and be a bargain either way.

    Good morning all. Afternoon for me actually, but I presume you're mostly on GMT.

    I was rather hoping the game would have gone live over the weekend so I could have a crack at it at work today, but alas it wasn't to be... joined the Sun game for the first time (felt dirty doing it) but it hasn't really sated my appetite. Anyone else playing that game?

    Actually, since they're still screwing around with the FPL system - Mark if you're about please ask them to work on the in-game forum system if they haven't already done so! 😀 It was fine a few years back then got tucked away so nobody notices it!

    im really pissed off i have a work dream team only 15odd people and a friends dream team only around 25 but they ahave now picked different dream team sites now. gutted why on earth have not given a date or any news on why they not up and running.

    Is it possible that there could really be a genuine drop in the number of people playing the game as people take their work leagues elsewhere? If it's not up by Wednesday I will have to do exactly that as people start going on holiday at the end of the week and it's a pain in the arsenal collecting all the money at the best of times. Less than 4 weeks to go now... Must be today. Must

      Same problem here - 25 people in my league, all put a tenner in (hard enough to organise from people dotted around the country) and many are going on hols, myself included. If it's not up soon I'm going to have to go Metro unfortunately.

    I think even if they updated the site let you set up your leagues and details ect and then on transfers or picking team page it just said updating coming soon one of them type of messages people could collect money set up mimi leagues and then say remember to login on before aug12 and pick your team. Its the look of gk38 that installs no confidence.And how hard it it get ikts up and running.

      His potential replacement looks handy though. I do like Aguero's style, doesn't go down under challenges (and usually gets results by not doing so - a lesson for 90% of the current elite divers out there, kids pay attention!) and a very clinical finisher. Rarely takes random blasts, everything is considered. A little greedy and how anyone from hot climes settles down to Manchester life is a question mark.

      If they get him he could be interesting, though as usual a big risk and will cost at least 9.5 in FPL terms, a gamble that may make the difference one way or the other!

      Maybe joke for them but I am not laughing. Nevertheless I had great, great weekend who needs FPL 😉 Now it doesn't matter when it will open cause there aren't any bargains or OOP players left.

      I can imagine all the administrators of the leagues will have difficulties to organize the mini leagues, cause a lot of the lads are gonna be on vacations so less players, less income for FPL. They lose.

        My thoughts exactly, I thought it would be good practice to have a "close season" version of your website, where you take down all results etc and display a message about the season being over (i know theres one there, but a more detailed one). It just seems like its nowhere near. Hope im wrong! Cant wait to get my leagues set up.

        On another note: Taarabt in the Carr. Any good?

          Taarabt is a genius, but he may be on the move now.

          The signing of Bothroyd makes Taarabt a slightly less enticing prospect now as I see Jay getting a lot if the goals Adel got last season.

          That said though, I still look at those first 8 games and think that an in the mood Taarabt could do major damage to all of those defences!

    There's no guarantee that Aguero can come straight in and replicate Tevez's production.

    I logged on to this site for the first time in ages over the weekend, and I've caught FPL fever from you all! Wasn't even thinking about fantasy really, just logged on for the Scout Reports because they're always interesting, and now I'm all pumped up for the season start!

    I've joined Metro and even the Sun... joining the Sun game felt very dirty, but I haven't paid for it so I can live with it. I found it a bit too easy to pick a team for both of these though, is it just me or are FPL masters at setting player values to make it just tricky enough to drive you insane?

      Yes, along with the 15-man squad from which you must select your 11, this is the best thing about the FPL.
