When Fantasy Premier League (FPL) opened its doors a couple of weeks ago, we weren’t far behind. Fantasy Football Scout got the ball rolling on our Head to Head leagues for the 2011/12 season by creating another two more and asked you all to stick your names in the hat for entry.

You kindly responded in your droves and after many man hours of wading through the entries, and a glamorous draw which took place on Saturday morning, we have had over 60 new leagues places to hand out to the lucky few recipients of our draw. The results (click to enlarge) and final figures on the nine Head to Head leagues (new entries highlighted) are as follows…

As you can see from the graphic above, there was at least one extra place in all of our leagues – be it from people dropping out or not claiming their spot in time. Firstly, if you see your name highlighted in that peach melba colour then you should have already received an email response to that which you entered with your respective league codes – if not, then whizz me over an email and I’ll sort things out for you.

Impressive Tackle and Back on the horse are the healthiest recipients who have jumped all the way up to FFS H2H 1 thanks to having the superior ranking of all our draw winners – Impressive Tackle finished a mind-bending 14th in the world last year.

Gooner Dave wasn’t far behind so takes up the single space left in FFS H2H 2. Four new managers get to take on Fantasy Football Scout head honcho Mark in FFS H2H 3 – Have they got what it takes to beat “The Scout”? I’m sure they’ll relish the challenge.

LawnDart jumps right into FFS H2H 4 on his own while FFS H2H 5 sees three new managers get to compete with Fantasy Football Scout super scribe Sir Paulos, podcast jockey Granville and differential destroyer (and my main rival) Big Dunc – without doubt the most Scout heavy Head to Head league.

Our Stateside Scout Da Beeeez is joined by three new faces in FFS H2H 6 with guiness416, Heisenberg and pompeyfan getting a jump up into our league structure.

FFS H2H 7 was our bottom league last season so sees a fair few new faces join its ranks thanks to a whole load of relegations – our comment-board regulars will perhaps recognise the likes of Johnny Unitas, Horizontal and RaspingDrive in amongst the qualifiers.

Scout business brain El Fozzie is heading up FFS H2H 8 (the first of two new leagues which has nineteen new faces) – Greeny was the best ranked manager of this bunch at a very respectable 17,284th place last season.

Certainly, 17,284th is more than I could have ever hoped for, which perhaps explains why I am heading up FFS H2H 9 – or what I am now dubbing “The Underachievers”. You will notice plenty of recognisable faces from long time caller Pasqualinho to King Nil Miss with a certain Westfield Irons inbetween. The Irons are the team managed by none other than Jon Reeson, winner of the whole 2009/10 FPL campaign and Marks’ Radio companion. Last season saw Jon struggle to keep up appearances following his banner year but is back ahead of the 2011/12 season and will undoubtedly have 19 Head to Head rivals eager for the victory scalp of an ex-FPL champion.

For those of you needing a reminder of how our promotion/relegation works then have a gander at the following graphic and work out just where you need to finish to survive and/or prosper.

This, of course, indicates that we know we need to cater for many more than just the 180 managers in our Head to Head leagues above. So without further ado we also christen the opening of the Fantasy Football Scout Reserve League (code: 759-148560).

If you were unfortunate enough to not have your name pulled out of the hat in the draw/got relegated/left it too late to claim your place then the Reserve League is open to anyone wanting to enter. Your league code (759-148560) should allow you the chance for 38 Fantasy Football Scout endorsed Head to Head fixtures and the shot at promotion into the aforementioned structure – just make sure your team finishes in the top 45 places and then keep your eyes peeled the following summer if you do.

Stick around for sporadic League updates through the season whenever we can squeeze them in, I’ll hopefully have a short graphic based one up in the early September international break and our first comprehensive movers and shakers report in the following October break.

Congratulations to our 60+ draw winners. Get joining our Reserve League if you’re not in on the action. I’m going for a stiff Ribena, am glad all that work is almost over until next summer. Good luck. Except to those in League Nine- I need all the help I can get in that one.

I will reiterate this once more, Frank Lampard is not fat, he is lean. Furthermore, Chelsea will win the league this season, the FA cup, the Champions League and the League cup, a Chelsea player will be top goal scorer. And BOOOOOOOOOM!!! is the sound of Lampards shot hitting the net. THAT is all.

Were it not for the multiple injuries and dire run last season we would have won the league. AVB's main priority will be to win a cup this season, the FA cup and League cup are far easier to win than the league for a squad as big as ours. As for the CL, why? Do you think Barca have that nailed on for the next few years? No, we are more than capable of beating them, and every other team on the planet. The unprecidented quadruple is coming to the Bridge, you'll see, you'll all see!

              Fat Frank's so fat that:

... he sells shade in the summer.

... he starts a game with cleats and ends with flats.

Thats a terrible one, you didnt say when you started printing. Anyway, Man Utd scum are so unfaithful, they're all off having affairs, and not like the kind Cole and Terry have, they're the good ones, Man Utd scum have to go to prostitutes or their brothers wives! Disgusting. And your blue nosed bully of a manager isn't worthy to clean Matt Busby's shoes, he'd be dissapointed at what Alex Ferguson has turned Man Utd into. At least Lampard has some dignity, unlike any Man Utd player. Except Scholes, but he lost that when he decided to be a c**t after he retired. Your club used to have soul, now its just a machine that does anything to win, have fun supporting that.

Similar to my latest draft, I like it. 5 differences at the moment.

I've found 1 mil by dropping Cole and Bramble to Evra and Tate. Spent it on N'zog over Taarabt.

Other than that I went RVP over Rooney and Sess over Albrighton.

      I like it a lot.

4 captains approach. It's apples and oranges with 6.5 midfielders. Sessegnon, Taarabt, Albrighton, Ramsey, Duff, it's anyone's guess. My money's on Sessegnon and Taarabt, but as I said, who knows.

Just be careful to not be choosing players because they are differentials rather than choosing who you actually think will do best.

Okay, this is gonna be controversial.

There are a few players here who I see in a lot of teams, but dislike. I guess these are the players I think could be pitfalls. I could be totally wrong, and they could sparkle, but for their price and potential, I think players can do better.

Baines - He's plays for Everton who are notoriously slow starters, and eats up funds. Ashley Cole has far more potential with his fixtures and team. You can't have both and Kompany or you give up a captaincy choice up front and defender rotation.

O'Hara - Plays for a Wolves team with mediocre fixtures, doesn't have a great goal scoring history, and doesn't have penalties. Sinclair has far more potential.

Barton - Released by Newcastle. He likely won't be at the club anymore, and even if he is, he probably will play too deep to be an effective FPL choice.

Downing - Don't see the appeal of an 8.5 winger for Liverpool, especially since you lose a captaincy choice. These mid-price midfielders (8.0 - 10.0) better be darn good, because getting them out is a real hassle, and they will be starting every week and need to deliver.

Gervinho - 9.0 and a potential OoP the wrong way. He's not a natural goalscorer, won't have set pieces, and plays for an Arsenal team in transition. Takes up a valuable forward spot as well. At best a wait and see.

nice pointers..I couldn't agree more. Especially I don't like expensive defenders while you can get cheaper versions of it even from the same team. Baines is a bit different though as he takes set pieces and penalties given Arteta is visiting hospital these days?

Don't agree with Baines. He's only 0.5 more then Cole, that's hardly going to make you sacrifice a striker.

Also, Arsenal aren't in transition and we aren't changing our formation so that Gervinho fits in. He fits in perfectly with our current system.

And where does he fit in?

A 4-2-3-1 was your system before with RVP leading the attack.

He'll play as a midfielder then.

Baines makes you sacrifice a striker or midfield captain. He'll do well over the season, but for the start, for the fact prices are inflated, and you need captaincy and prise rise options, he's not the best choice.

He fits in on the left or right of the front 3. Our wingers basically play as interchangeable strikers.

          Gervinho - RVP - Walcott.

Also, another way to look at the Baines Dilemma is he costs 8. 1.5 less then Silva, the same as Yaya. Hes likely to get as many assists and similar goals as them and he has the bonus of clean sheet points. Decent fixtures aswell.

1.5 less than Silva is exactly what worries me actually. Silva will always be up top building attacking moves, Baines will be at left back moving forward once in a while.

I think last season was almost a fluke. I had Baines, I'd know. He was very consistent, but was heavily reliant on penalties. End of last season, he didn't even get many assists with Cahill out, but rode Everton's good end to the season out.

Yeah you might be right there, he did get a fair few pens. I've downgraded him to Ivanovic (who i think is a btter pick then Cole) at the moment. Still think Baines is a worthy pick though.

He's very much a midfielder, who will return midfield type points. If that's your argument, Arshavin, Nasri and Walcott should also be classified as strikers.

There's better value out there in any case.

Im not saying there isn't better value, i just don't agree with you saying we are in a transition period. Fact is, our 'Wingers' score more then most strikers.

I wouldn't say that, Walcott and Arshavin probably get more chances to score then RVP because they are harder to mark making runs from out wide into the box, they just miss a lot of chances.

        +1 On both points.

Wenger doesn't just buy a player for the sake of it, Gervinho is a great fit for Arsenal and if Fabregas stays with his passing ability and vision coupled with Gervinhos' pace and willingness to make runs beyond the line they could link up very well. I think Gervinho will outscore Aguero.

i think if barton goes to the right club he could have potential...

gervinho il agree is an attacking winger and not a forward and the only thing i see that he has going for him is that he is a cheaper alternative to rvp for arsenal coverage...

downing is only being chosen because people think him and carroll will become best of friends and he'll get loads of assists, but he won't get that many and even still, they're only assists, and he's a rotation risk...

o'hara looked good at the end of last season but there's better players for that price...

Most who had Barton have ditched him following todays news.

Downing was quality today and picked up an assist. Also h's the best Liverpool attacking option if Suarez doesnt start.

Chamakh isn't a lone striker, doesn't have the ability to link up well in that role and often struggles to hold up the ball efficiently. Saying that I like Chamakh and he has certain things to offer but Gervinho is better at what Chamakh offers and more.

On the last page, Camzy said shes going for Rooney over RVP becasue we need to change our system to accompany Gervinho which is absolute rubbish. No offense, but Camzy seems to force players and ideas onto people and then a week later, change her mind, N/Dyer for example. And most on here seem to listen for some reason...

I'm not forcing ideas on anyone. I put my points across, you can take them aboard if you want, or you can go your own way. If you choose Baines or Gervinho, that's fine, you may even do better than I will, but it's just my point of view.

You make a good point though about changing Arsenal's system. You're probably right actually, I back down on that one. Still though, new personnel at Arsenal in key positions will make at least a bit of adjustment in terms of playstyle likely.

Baines is someone who seems to have a habit of scoring well consistently, on his day he's even a off the wall captaincy punt. Wouldn't start with him for 8 at all, and with Everton's starts not an option, but it's hard to write him off long term.

Couldn't agree more with the rest though. O'Hara hasn't been a fantasy prospect at all since he left Pompey. Barton at Newcastle with penalties never interested me once, too sporadic and too reliant on assists. Downing is overpriced for sure, if him and Carroll hit it off though could be one to watch later this season. Gervinho is such an outrageous punt after two goals in a pre season game - RVP is the only Arsenal forward worth having until I see proof otherwise.

I think RvP or Rooney as both are sure things for playing time as long as they are healthy. Last year we played premier league .com head to head and we all had the same team (nani, VdV, baines, etc.) so it always came down to about 2 or 3 cheaper players to decide the winner. This year we are drafting and only one team can have a player so the picks are crucial.....For my #2 pick I need a sure thing....

              Given Al-Habsi
              Bardsley (Simpson) Kompany Hughes Gabbidon
              Silva Taarabt Nzogbia (Ferguson) Malouda
              RVP (Ranger) Rooney

Opinions? Removed Zamora. Added Silva and Malouda. Removed Ashley Cole and replaced with Bardsley. Useless striker.

If your only gonna spend 5m on a cheap forward, it might as well be Graham for Swansea... much better prospect IMO

I had a very similar team yesterday, Phillips. I've changed it around a bit since, but what you have is basically solid.

I'm a bit unsure about how the Swansea defence will line-up, but Tate captained the side for most of last season while Monk was out, so he should be safe enough. I quite like the look of Caulker, but if Williams isn't sold then I guess Caulker will be on the bench when Monk is fit. Tate might therefore be the best 4m option.

If Simpson is nailed on he could be a good shout, although I do worry about Newcastle if they lose Barton as well as Nolan (and possibly Enrique too)... decent fixtures from GW2 though.

You have to take into account though that Villa are likely to be a boring defensive team under McLeish, theyre unlikely to get a huge amount of goals and most of them will come from N'Zog and Bent who will also gobble up the bonus points so where does that leave Albrighton

Someone tell him to hurry up an come back from wherever he is... sleeping with hookers and snorting cocaine probably...he's needed for peoples fantasy teams!!!

In fairness, hookers and cocaine are more in the wheelhouse of Mexico - rather than Uruguay.

      I don't like it actually.

If you want money for Rooney, find it somewhere other than downgrading N'Zogbia.

The thing is the more I think about it the less I'm liking N'zog at Villa, at least for the start. A very individualistic (if that's a word) player who may take time to settle into playing as a more disciplined member of a team. Also he's might not be able to hit it off straight awya when he's not the focal point of most attacks.

Perhaps my biggest fear though is that he's always struck me as a goal scorer ahead of an assister. Given Bent will be hogging goal scoring unlike anyone did at Wigan, he may take time to adjust to this, and I can see him scoring few goals to begin with.

Just not felt so comfortable with him in my team the last day or two.

You have a point with N'Zogbia, but I think the solution is to upgrade him rather than downgrade. You're losing too much money in midfield by downgrading.

I've changed my team again lately.

          Given, Kenny

          Ivanovic, Kompany, Bramble, Simpson, Orr

          Moses, Malouda, Sessegnon, Silva, Sinclair

          Rooney, Carroll, Holt

I've made a few tweaks too.

            Foster - Moreira
            Cole - Taylor - Kompany - Bramble - Orr
            VDV - Albrighton - Sess - Hoolahan - Dyer
            RVP - Rooney - Odem

            As for yours:

I don't think Ivanovic will hold down a place. Moses bandwagon is surely doomed to fail. I still think Silva has 'Modricitis' (not my term I'm afraid but I'm stealing it) in FPL terms. Bent>Caroll to start with.

Still looks solid, think I prefered the last draft though.

I've heard moving to the Chelsea region is a good cure for it though.

Would you not prefer Taarabt over Seesegnon in midfield Camzy ? I'm not convinced by Sessegnon myself, Sunderland dont score alot of goals.

    Given, Begovic

    A.Cole, Kompany, Enrique, O'shea, Briggs

    Downing, Taarabt, N'Zogbia, Sessegnon, Mavereaux

    RVP, Aguero, A. Johnson.

You've probably weighed up the same thing as I'm looking at now harry, so I'd be interested to hear your thoughts: I see you've gone with Aguero and Downing, does Suarez and Silva with 0.5m to spare not appeal?

Yeah Suarez and silva prob be the smarter option with aguero unproven at EPL, but always been a big fan Of aguero and it tevez leaves I will start with him.

I can't see downing doing poorly. LW should be his as I can see Joe Cole / Kuyt / Maxi taking it off him. Downing had a good season last year throwing balls into bent, should go great with Carroll and Suarez to aim for.

Taarabt could well turn into Ramsey if nasri and cesc leaves and hoping mavreaux takes frees or may swap to Moses.

      You're missing Baines.

Andy Johnson is still in the league?

I rate Cole over baines, gotta look at clean sheets 1st with def, that's where bulk of points will come from.

Alot of people jumping on Zamora to start the year. But with dembele out Johnson will start and has potential to score as well as Zamora. Well worth the punt @ 5.5 I think.

Rangel & Williams are certs. Other cb spot is between monk, caulker & Tate. Left back is between Taylor & Tate.
I think Taylor will be left back, monk cb. Caulker will get his chance though and Tate cover for any defensive position.
