Let’s not dilly-dally shall we. The Scout chatroom has opened for the dawn of a new Fantasy Football season with the The Saturday Surgery here for the last-gasp panic.

There will undoubtedly be even more panic than normal on what is arguably the busiest, and most fraught, period of the whole season.

We’ve opened three rooms in anticipation of a potential abundance of users, we encourage you to spread about and help those as they help you with your last minute quandary.

The first Saturday Surgery of the season is open.

          Apologies...I updated in another thread. While I spoke to them last night - I haven't been in touch this morning. They assured me that they were working overnight on the issue so I awoke hoping things would be resolved. This morning I've had to get our house in order - the amount of traffic heading our way as a result of the problems has been pretty big and we've had our own issues keeping our servers up.

          Now things have calmed I will try to catch up with the FPL and get some info.

            Mark don't sweat it.

            I remember they days when FPL was solid and FFS would struggle under deadline traffic. What a role reversal.
            You've come a long way with this site and I, like many many, many others have nothing but congratulations and thanks for it.

            It is just a shame that FPL have let the side down at their end. Worse still on the back of what has previously been an admirably reliable service from them.

        Exactly, FFS is different, they may know the phone number and some contacts, but that's probably it. But the faulty towers has all our email addresses to send us reams of info and ads. That is where the fault lies.

        I agree that no-one at FFS should be blamed for the problem. I think it would have been useful if FFS had provided an update that said something along the lines of "FPL having server issues and they're trying to resolve them". So many people on here asking the same question

        Last night our servers went down for about 20 minutes - we'd never seen a spike like it. It took us several hours to stabilise matters. I did speak to the FPL but very late and while all our own issues were going on. This morning there's been no let up for us. The posts that were published were already prepared - I've had no real time to get in touch with FPL and get you information - my priority has been to keep us running so at least you have somewhere to discuss matters.

        I'm pushing for info now.

    Hi, this is only my second post on here, but I really need your help with this one.

    A: Silva and Rodallega

    or

    B: Toure and Zamora

    Note: It is a different ff-game, where there are no BP's, and you get point-deduction if the player loses.
    Also, I already have Al Habsi and Moses.
    I'm leaning towards B myself, because i think Zamora will easily outscore Rodallega, and Silva won't dpminate Toure point-wise, when i doesn't get his BP's.
    What do you think?

    Barclays and the Premier League don't give a flying feck about us, they never have done and they never will. We, like the football fans who go to watch EPL teams or buy EPL merchandising, are just there to bring money/advertising in. Don't expect anyone in FPL HQ to be doing anything to sort this out, why should they?

    FFS have entered into a commercial agreement with FPL to provide advice to FPL managers, they have no influence over or connection with the state of the servers or website. They are just like us in terms of dealing with this issue today. Some expect them to have a hotline to the FPL Comms Room and be able to give us up-to-date news on which server is playing up.

    The facts are that FFS give us better advice than any other site when it comes to choosing our Fantasy Football teams, be it for FPL or any other game.

    Ignore it at your own cost.

      really? how much much do you think ffs make out of this deal?
      probably nothing. FFS would be happy with the official collaboration and the increase traffic and exposure.

      FPL probably doesnt make much of a profit anyway. Only revenue is advertising probably? Hence the meagre prizes.
