Let’s not dilly-dally shall we. The Scout chatroom has opened for the dawn of a new Fantasy Football season with the The Saturday Surgery here for the last-gasp panic.

There will undoubtedly be even more panic than normal on what is arguably the busiest, and most fraught, period of the whole season.

We’ve opened three rooms in anticipation of a potential abundance of users, we encourage you to spread about and help those as they help you with your last minute quandary.

The first Saturday Surgery of the season is open.

To all of those people stating "Rules are rules, fair is fair" and "You have had weeks to do this, why leave it until last minute (claiming 15 hours is last minute):

FEK OFF.

The fact of the matter is that you are contradicting yourself a little there. The rules are that you can change/start a team right up until the deadline. If you had to do it weeks prior to this then the deadline should surely be weeks ago.

Second, since when has 15 hours been last minute? I have been working in the states and luckily completed a draft team the other week with the mind to research and check news to tweak this better when I got back. I arrived in this country yesterday and got the time to sit down at 9pm last night to find the servers are down.

For me this is simply unacceptable, I work in IT and know the issues it poses when mass requests get sent to a server (Thats what most these hackers do to take down websites it's called Denial of Service) but this site knows how much traffic it gets and secondly keeps banging on about how many users it has. Thats great but you also need the capacity to handle this.

Lots of people going onto the site before deadline is the nature of fantasy football.

I don't know where the funding comes from in order to pay for the upkeep/hardware and staff but it seems to me that it's not enough and it's becoming unsustainable.

I think there is a bit of a catch 22 going on regarding funds for a free service and availability, however a note to inform visitors that something is wrong and that it's being worked on is far better than leaving people wondering if their passwords are wrong and sending loads of forgot password requests!

Anyway - good luck everyone this season, lets get to the stuff we love. Watching Geoff and the gang 🙂

p.s - I hope they reset the scores and start from GW2 including a wildcard for GW2.

  I find your post rather stupid to be honest, when the game opened it's doors several weeks ago the first step was to register a team, which quite remarkably many people decided to leave until today! I have sympathy for those who wanted to make a few small changes due to transfer activity and team news however as this game is free and most likely will have 2million players I think it's easy to forget that they not perfect! Last seasons site had it's bugs too, I remember not being able to log on several times and it's just part of this game! Anyway the season is not won o

  For me, what is unacceptable is all this moaning and complaining. FPL let us play their game for free. This is the first time in my 5 years of playing the came that I have seen any issues and its no coincidence that it comes after they make their new site live. It happens though and this complaining aint going to solve anything.

  Rubbish. Spent the last 2 days travelling, saved Friday evening to enter leagues and finalize a team. Many people don't spend days on the site when they know where will be transfers, injury's and other updates. I this happened only on Saturday morning I'd agree we were pushing it by leaving it too late. But Friday too is ridiculous.

  i think whats protecting taarabt is the fact that he dictates the play (bonus) and takes freekicks/pens
  so he's a safe bet not to crash although he might not be the adam of the season.
  usually strikers are the biggest bet in the PL as they have the most difficulty to adapt to it. midfielders they rarely disappoint.
