Let’s not dilly-dally shall we. The Scout chatroom has opened for the dawn of a new Fantasy Football season with the The Saturday Surgery here for the last-gasp panic.

There will undoubtedly be even more panic than normal on what is arguably the busiest, and most fraught, period of the whole season.

We’ve opened three rooms in anticipation of a potential abundance of users, we encourage you to spread about and help those as they help you with your last minute quandary.

The first Saturday Surgery of the season is open.

          i.e. they have to send people to fix a mail server, reducing the amount of dedicated resource (i.e. people) to focus on fixing the FPL game server.

    I have put down £150 in my cash league, so its hard not just to sit back and think its just a game. Put a total downer on what is normaly one of the most exciting times of the sporting year.

      Hmmm... I wonder. A few posters earlier were saying they could still make transfers at 11:35 - 11:40... Was there some kind of lag, and they have now made transfers at the expense of next week's score?

    I think we all know in our hearts that leaving it till the last minute with nearly 2 million players and the way FPL Towers has been this summer was not very bright.I only have two players I would take out.I'm sure I'll get over it,although it is quite nice to have someone else to blame for my team being crap.

      Exactly, people with their team still on Auto complete have a right to complain, most the people complaining on here must at least have a half decent squad they are happy with. Most people will be in the same boat.

    we had the sheer frustration of the site coming online 2 weeks late ,when it finally did arrive it was god awful,many of my workmates have deserted to sun dream team ,you stay loyal to what WAS the best game and now this ,many people have been completely frustrated by the last 18 hours and there is once again absolutely no communication from fpl ,we are treated like mugs ,do they not know the pleasure many people get from this game such a horrible attitude of bugger em ,cant quit its a drug but seriously seriously considering it.....

    Think a lot of people on here, especially newbies may or may not know, that this is generally an annual occurance on the first 1 or 2 GW deadlines, purely because of the rapid increase of people logging into the system, i fall for it every year, but every year i still put myself through it. the first GW, every man and his dog is logging onto the site the morning of the 1st deadline which is why it crumbles, but once the influx dies down its back to normal, 70% or so will do mid week or early changes and last minute transfers can be done as usual,

    ultimately, for most of us, really on the 1st GW leaving it till the last minute is never clever, i can say that as i did the same thing, as every year i think the site capacity will be increased.. oh well.. you cant lose the comp over 1 GW.
