Okay, so last week Paddy Power gave us a hiding – it could have been so different had Wigan turned Norwich over in our accumulator but alas, in more ways than one, the Gameweek proved a let down.

A tenner down after Gameweek one, we’ve nonetheless picked ourselves up and we’re back at the counter again, clinging to a fresh tenner and hopes that our heavily fancied Fantasy picks will come good.

Read on for details of what Paddy has up his sleeve for the likes of Leighton Baines, Stephane Sessegnon, Scott Sinclair and Fernando Torres, plus news of this week’s Scout Accumulator and Paddy’s latest Money Back Specials…

Leighton Baines topped the defender rankings last season with assists simply dripping from his delicious left-foot. Everton get a belated start to their season this weekend and are treated to a visit from QPR, fresh from a Loftus Road spanking by Bolton. The Toffee’s are understandably fancied here with Baines ensconced in many a Fantasy lineup. We got Paddy involved and they’ve offered us several bets, including 9/1 on a Baines free-kick goal, 14/1 on him opening the scoring and 18/1 on Baines to provide two assists. We’ll take them up on the latter.

Stephane Sessegnon was flying in pre-season, extending his fine run of form from the tail-end of last term when he filled the striker’s boots so admirably. He’ll be tucked in behind Asamoah Gyan when North East rivals Newcastle arrive at the Stadium of Light, offering very decent value as a midfielder with a potent goal threat. Paddy have him at 6/1 for the first goal and we’ll gladly snaffle those odds. You can also get 17/1 on two goals or more and two assists or more, for those looking to back him further.

While Swansea were somewhat swamped by Man City on Monday, it shouldn’t go unnoticed that Brendan Rodgers’ side had a lot of the ball and played some tidy stuff. Their season starts at the Liberty stadium with Wigan the visitors. Scot Sinclair, as the Swans leading scorer and spot-kick hogger in the Championship, poses a big threat and we’re happy to back him accordingly. Paddy are offering a range of bets again but we like the 20/1 being offered for Sinclair to be fouled in the box and convert the penalty.

Fernando Torres’ career at Stamford Bridge has stalled and is often the subject of ridicule and yet, at the Britannia on Sunday, the Spaniard showed some promise. Buffeted by the Stoke defence, Torres bounced up and proved a menace for the home site. With a porous West Brom defence at the Bridge this weekend, we backed Fernando to come good and handed him a Scout Picks selection. Paddy’s odds of 13/5 for the opening goal is our “flutter of the week” and we’ll back it accordingly. Click here for more Torres bets courtesy of Paddy.

Finally, as always, we’ll throw our remaining quid at a cheeky accumulator. This week we’re opting to back disappointment for three of the big four. We’re taking Paddy up on their odds of 11/1 for United, Chelsea and Arsenal to all slip up and fail to take three points in their games.

Paddy Power’s Money Back Special

There are several options to make the most of Paddy’s generosity this weekend. If any of Arsenal vs Liverpool, Bolton vs Man City and Man United vs Tottenham finishes in a score draw, Paddy will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on that match. Nice.

Bet £10 Get £20

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    A) Rooney, Yaya Toure, Senderos
    or
    B) Suarez, Cahill, Kompany?

    Rest of the team:
    Given, Ruddy
    Baines, Enrique, Brown, Simpson
    Lampard, Sinclair, Hoolahan, Moses
    Bent, Fletcher

So no ManU coverage without Rooney. Defense would look a lot better with Kompany. Is Rooney worth 2.5mil more than Suarez?

Stuck between having Carrol instead of Holt as Im almost convinced he wil score this week but possibly not much in the imminent weeks after. So...

    B/ Holt + Silva

I know that Suarez is 0.5 cheaper, scored last week etc, but I find it hard to decide between him and Carroll. Carroll had 7 shots and Suarez only two. Given the problem that Arsenal has with set pieces, I think that he may be a better pick than Suarez

Why have you even bothered asking if you don't like any of the responses? Your team is way too expensive and you need to lose someone you don't want to. It's as simple as that. Good question, and quite difficult if you are hell bent on that front 3. I guess the obvious one is to change Nani, especially considering you have Rooney, however the obvious swap would be to N Zogbia but then that may be Villa overkill. Personally, from that team i would downgrade Rooney to Suarez and hope you cover his points with Nani. Although i have Rooney!

Possibly Toure to one of the Wolves boys is an option and then save a little elsewhere.

well if you downgraded rooney to suarez thatd be 2.5 right? but obviously thatd be changing the strikers which you dont want. not sure how else you can do it though unless you change nani and/or toure

    RMT please

    Given (Vorm)
Baines Bosingwa Kompany (Jose Enrique Simpson)
    Lampard(c) Sessegnon Duff N'Zogbia (Moses)
    Suarez Bent Andy Johnson

    The questions I have are:
Is Given, Zogs and Bent too top heavy on Villa and if so who should make way??
Who to play this week out of Enrique, Moses and Johnson??

As well as any other changes I should make or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Too heavy. Get Saha in for Bent n Torres in for Johnson. Much better balance

Confident in my team, for this week at least. Still tempted to take the armband off torres tho and give it to rooney. Thoughts??

Nah. If Torres doesn't score this week, he never will. Stick to him

looks pretty solid. but if you switched silva to yaya then you'd have an extra 1.5 to upgrade someone else or keep in the bank. just a thought
