There’s not one, but two lunchtime kick-offs in the Premier League today, and the Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and ready for a full day of football. We start at Villa Park in a matter of minutes, whilst the game at the DW Stadium is set to go at half past.

Once the dust has settled from Adel Taarabt announcing himself to the Premier League and Darren Bent scoring the first hattrick of the season, we have a somewhat meagre offering of just three 3 p.m. fixtures…

Blackburn and Everton do battle at Ewood Park, each side desperate for their first league point of the campaign. Swansea host Sunderland, who will both fancy their chances of earning a first win of the season. And then there’s Fernando Torres, with his belligerent of fantasy owners, all praying he finally nets today at home to the Canaries.

Finally, we’ll be off to Torres’ old stomping ground Anfield, where Liverpool and Bolton meet in today’s evening game.

    Captained him last season against Blackpool too.

            Last season was a goal rush, with many porous defences at the start of the season. I think it is just down to chance that the goals aren't flying in.

    I can see absolutely no difference between Carlo's Chelsea and AVB's Chelsea. I know it's early days but it's still the same struggle with formation and creativity or lack there of.

      Playing two attacking full backs is one difference. Mata will change the lata point.

        I'm tempted to get rid of Lamps for Silva early as Spain only have one game V Liechtenstein so he might not even play. I don't know though it's risky.

        Wow, what's happening to the Premier league?

        3 goals, 1 from a defender and the other 2 from a Striker who apart from today had only scored one other time.
