Manchester United have just joined Edin Dzeko in turning Gameweek three upside down.

In 90 minutes of football, United simply blitzed a bewildered Arsenal, ravaged by injury and suspension, ill-equipped and unprepared for the waves of United attacks and individual brilliance thrown at them.

For Fantasy owners of Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, United’s 8-2 win has brought a rare bounty of points that will have transformed their Gameweek scoring. Three goals and an assist from Rooney, a brace and and three assists from Young, the returns are beyond our wildest expectations and the stuff of nightmares for Arsenal fans and their beleaguered manager who could only watch on while their inexperienced and shell-shocked side were dismantled. Those Fantasy managers without the United pair are unlikely to feel much better – mini-leagues have been turned on their head by today’s events.

This afternoon will have a major impact on the Fantasy Premier League game with Young and Rooney now inevitably set to enjoy huge investment during the international break. Prices will rise, Wildcards will flutter – an extraordinary end to our Fantasy Gameweek.

    I'm wildcarding for 3 reasons.

    I have two injuries, one non starter, two terrible picks playing for teams that can't score, two expensive defenders that don't appear to be able to buy a clean sheet this season and only one spot for expensive midfielders when two are quite clearly needed.

    I don't have enough cover for United, City or Pool. One for each manchester team and none for Liverpool, this is quite clearly inadequate and I need to sort this out.

    I'm also knee-jerking.

    My plan was to sell Torres for Van Persie for gw 4 but seeing how shite Arsenal have been I think he is too expensive at 11,9.

    So it comes to this (if all players are fit after the international breaks):

    A. Silva and Torres to Young and Aguero/Dzeko (no hit)

    OR

    B. Torres to Van Persie (and have one free transfer left)

      Dzeko took a knock in the game against Belarus, quite nasty apparently, out for 6 weeks and Silva ran himself into the ground trying to break down a dogged Liechtenstein team, it finished in a 1-0 defeat and unfortunately he is too tired to play against Wigan....

    what i thought was classic today (should be shown on the bbc later) was when Rooney took the free kick for his 1st goal Rosicky didn't even look to see where the ball went, he just seemed to know it was going in. He must have just thought "thats top corner" and started walking away.
