Manchester United have just joined Edin Dzeko in turning Gameweek three upside down.

In 90 minutes of football, United simply blitzed a bewildered Arsenal, ravaged by injury and suspension, ill-equipped and unprepared for the waves of United attacks and individual brilliance thrown at them.

For Fantasy owners of Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, United’s 8-2 win has brought a rare bounty of points that will have transformed their Gameweek scoring. Three goals and an assist from Rooney, a brace and and three assists from Young, the returns are beyond our wildest expectations and the stuff of nightmares for Arsenal fans and their beleaguered manager who could only watch on while their inexperienced and shell-shocked side were dismantled. Those Fantasy managers without the United pair are unlikely to feel much better – mini-leagues have been turned on their head by today’s events.

This afternoon will have a major impact on the Fantasy Premier League game with Young and Rooney now inevitably set to enjoy huge investment during the international break. Prices will rise, Wildcards will flutter – an extraordinary end to our Fantasy Gameweek.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Anyone think having the front three of Suarez, Dzeco and Roonpig is a bit of a problem? I mean everyone has them! So no ground will be made. You need a differential surely

Captainthe right one? Make your defence your differential? Spend time choosing rotating defenders, saving money for forward players…

IMHO it's not about differentials this early on - you pick the players who you think will score the most points the other end of the season if you have ground to make up differentials come into play. Otherwise you can spend the whole season looking for next week's superstar and miss the obvious points

So i have had a chance to actually take stock. Watching MotD and its quite depressing to think about all of those points that i have missed out on.

But actually I didn't have a single red arrow. So i think its important for managers to take this GW with a pinch of salt. We have without a doubt seen that having Manchester cover is important, because it seems they will offer consistency.

Most importantly, you should stick by your plans and your team might not be in as much dire straights as it seems. Perhaps a little point hit might be in order but take a moment to think before you act.

    Just my 2 cents anyway.

Are people so confident that Dzeko will be a starter for a while yet? Berbatov was dropped the week after scoring 5 goals in a game, and surely Tevez and Balotelli will get some game time - Tevez should be fully fit after the international break.

For now it looks like I'm sticking with Darren Bent for a while longer to partner Rooney.

Watched the City match and still think Silva's the one to get, even more so now. He linked up with Nasri nicely and bossed the game. Probably the motm after Dzeko. Nasri was quality too but given the choice i'd buy Silva.

You maybe right, the thing for me is, everyone has Silva, I don't. I doubt many people will do Silva -> Nasri, and most have Dzeko/Aguero and Kompany so can't get another City player. Therefore I'm gonna get Nasri and he'll be a big differential for me, although if Silva rips it up, I'm screwed but I'm willing to risk it.

So I had to WC this week, didn't have the worst first two gameweeks but I was naive about the players I picked - I had Sinclair, cabaye and Taarabt - I get the feeling Taarabt might come good eventually but I couldn't wait another gameweek for him. Cabaye and Sinclair are two transfers out I feel extremely good about, Cabaye I certainly think was a big mistake. Also had torres, holt and Bent ffs. My WC got me in Rooney and Young. I've just used my free transfer to move out Hernandez (who was short lived and I will probably bring back in before the next games) for Dzeko - the price rise is too much to resist.

I'm really jealous that a lot of people here still have the potential to WC and I'd love to play it over these two weeks to make profit but I needed to get the points in this week. My advice to anyone contemplating wildcarding - do it! I can't see any reason not to, you have three weeks more experience of it now, you know who's in form and who was probably just hype. The best bit is you have unlimited transfers to simply make profit and change around players as much as you want. You'd be crazy not to.
