Manchester United have just joined Edin Dzeko in turning Gameweek three upside down.

In 90 minutes of football, United simply blitzed a bewildered Arsenal, ravaged by injury and suspension, ill-equipped and unprepared for the waves of United attacks and individual brilliance thrown at them.

For Fantasy owners of Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young, United’s 8-2 win has brought a rare bounty of points that will have transformed their Gameweek scoring. Three goals and an assist from Rooney, a brace and and three assists from Young, the returns are beyond our wildest expectations and the stuff of nightmares for Arsenal fans and their beleaguered manager who could only watch on while their inexperienced and shell-shocked side were dismantled. Those Fantasy managers without the United pair are unlikely to feel much better – mini-leagues have been turned on their head by today’s events.

This afternoon will have a major impact on the Fantasy Premier League game with Young and Rooney now inevitably set to enjoy huge investment during the international break. Prices will rise, Wildcards will flutter – an extraordinary end to our Fantasy Gameweek.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm shocked there is not more talk of Anderson on here. Surely any cheap way into United midfield is better than Brunt or Sinclair or Taarabt. United will score many goals in matched while the others struggle to find the net.

Even some rotation risk is worth it!

First I must apologize to Steven Fletcher cause he didn't had chance in my team but there is certain Bosnian striker playing for a team that is scoring for fun ATM.

The plan is like this, I want to do a 4 point hit and if I don't do I now I won't be able to do it at all.

Due to the fact that I have Silva already, Nasri too would be overkill IMO so the knee jerk but wise hit is:

    Lamps and Fletcher out
    Dzeko and Young in

I opted for Young instead of Nasri. Nasri maybe later or Mata after the Utd game. Opinion please. And I am willing to make the risk regarding the international brake. Early in the season this risk are good for building team value and racking up the points.

    Cheers,

I have just 122 points after 3 games, and mini league leader has 213 already!!

I normally make top 3 in the league each season, but i'm really thinking I need to play my wildcard now

Current players are: Given, Ruddy Enrique, Kompany, Bosingwa, Simpson, Brown, N'Zogbia, Sessegnon, Nani, Moses, Hoolahan, Torres, Bent Suarez

Should I wildcard? Already done Torres > Dzeko

Yeah I agree. It's RVP's fixtures vs Rooney's form. I think Dzeko is almost a must have at 8.5m - can't see him being dropped after 6 goals in 3 games. Would you do anything different with this squad?

        Hilario, Ruddy
        Bosingwa, Dunne, Brown, Simpson, Senderos
        Silva, Nani, Sessegnon, Sinclair, Moses

Getting 1-2 new strikers has to be option taken regarding points. Plenty are selling Bent for Dzeko. Midfield is weak but you already know that.

Yeah, I could do with a 3rd decent midfielder, but not many are firing of the ones I don't have. I have 2 free transfers so there wouldn't be any point hits. Might do Torres -> Dzeko tonight to get on the price rise/fall and then decide on Bent-> Rooney or RVP later (but before the price rises).

How to make money at fpl.

we all agree to buy a certain set of players with low ownership e.g. Ollson at west Brom. Loads of us buy him in at present price, his value rises by 0.2 (With his price being low not so many of us have to buy. Then we can all sell and collect the money.

    I feel like a banker!

Oh yes, and not so sure Young will be too much of a rotation risk. I think Nani and Valencia are more likely to rotate. Young seems to link the play and bring others into the game more than either of N & V

Surely the lower the percentage of owners, the lower the number required to get 100% nti. Once the first rise in price goes on , the process starts all over again. The percentage ownership would still be small so another 100%nti in would still be realistic.

Not something i would do, but just a thought.

Incorrect, it goes on Net Transfers In receiving a certain figure when protection isn't involved. The 2nd rise is double the NTI needed unless the 1st change occurs the night before deadline. Would need 50000 trades minimum for a 0.2 & plenty here losing points etc.

I also realise that while we can over-analyse things and miss the obvious points (particularly frustrating at the start of the season), the biggest thing this brilliant website has taught me is not to chase last weeks points but to be methodical and read between the lines. Tempting though it is to reassemble my shambles of a team. PS if Arteta leaves then Baines will be FPL gold dust imo.
