Gameweek four kicks off with no fewer than six 3pm Premier League fixtures. The Dugout Discussion chatroom will be a hive of activity right up until the final whistle at the Reebok stadium this evening.

All the team news from the games starting on the hour is in, and here are the headlines…

The unprecedented levels of fantasy investment in Edin Dzeko meant nothing to Roberto Mancini, who starts Carlos Tevez ahead of the Bosnian after his International endeavours. He sits alongside Samir Nasri on the City bench, who is nursing a broken hand.

At Goodison, new signings Royston Drenthe and Denis Stracqualursi join Ross Barkley and captain Phil Neville on the bench for the home side, who have to utilise Tim Cahill as their lone striker. Darren Bent recovers from the injury that kept him out of England duty last week to start for the visitors.

The returning Craig Bellamy is on the pine for Liverpool’s trip to the Britannia Stadium, sharing company with the likes of Andy Carroll and the injury-free Glen Johnson. Stoke City hand their record-signing Peter Crouch a first start against his former club.

More new signings making their debuts today are Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor for a Spurs side away at in-form Wolves. The home side are forced to bench Matt Jarvis due to slight ankle injury.

Andre Villas-Boas rings in the changes for Chelsea, with Raul Meireles, Juan Mata, Petr Cech and Daniel Sturridge all in the starting line-up. That sees the much-maligned Fernando Torres joins Florent Malouda on the subs bench. Their opponents Sunderland stick Nicklas Bendtner straight into the first eleven.

Looking to bounce back from the 8-2 nightmare at Old Trafford, Arsenal give debuts to Per Mertesacker and Mikel Arteta, with Clarindo Andre Santos, Yossi Benayoun and Park Chu-Young all waiting in the wings on the bench.

It’s a lot to digest, so come and join in with the Dugout Discussion.

Well I bet my left nut that Baines would score and he did, so I’m glad I still have that intact…

If Villa didn't score the late equalizer he would have been on for 3 BP's too 🙁

the great thing is if you are planning to knee jerk Dzeko out you can wait till tomorrow as he will go up in price tonight whilst likely cnadidates Aguero/Sturridge/Adebayor etc will not.

I think it came off a defender as he shot/passed - so it means someone touched it outside the box before Vorm caught it.

If he really did balloon it like that on his own - its an assist (by these stupid rules).

No, Vorm caught the ball and ran with it a few steps then rolled it out.

The ball then Rangel and then came back to Arshavin.

This new assist rule is so frustrating, not because of how it has been implemented but now this site is just full of people who keep asking silly questions about assists <_<

At least with the Rooney assist, it was obvious under the silly rule that he was going to get the points

With this one, its obvious he is never gonna get the assist and its just because one random person said he might get it, everybody jumped on the bandwagon.

Do people in the UK not have access to the games live on TV?

Doesn't seem like many people watch the games...

But the rules do not say anything about a keeper catching the ball.

"Assists are awarded to the player from the goal scoring team, who makes the last touch before the goal is scored.

If after this touch, an opposing player touches the ball outside the penalty area altering the intended destination of the ball, then no assist is given, except if this intervention directly results in an own goal."

Assume Walcott ballooned it (I think it deflected off the defender in front of him, but assume).

Vorm catches it, throws it into Rangel (so far the ball hasn't left the box) and the Arshavin collects the ball and scores. The only thing we're looking for is a touch that changes the destination of the ball outside the penalty area. None of that happened.

Lost 6 points in a couple of minutes with that Chelsea goal conceded and Bosingwa's booking - I'd have thought 28 would be a decent score but 22 is around the same score as everyone else it seems. :S Especially as if Rooney (c) doesn't do anything I'd have fewer points that I had until stoppage time.

I suppose that other than Aguero and Silva there's no stand-out players so far this week.

    Sinclair hit the bar.
    Suarez missed an open net.
    Walcott almost scored.
Bosingwa conceded and booked in the last minute.

Just another week of FPL. 🙂

This week switched for a hit.

      Bent to Suarez
      Holt to Dzeko
      Lampard to Walcott

      There's always next week.

Bendtner got an assist for Sunderland's goal, not that anyone cares.

Same here. Gonna switch tactic, 5 min pondering my team every friday. Got a second team that I have used 10 mins on the entire season, and that team got 50 points more then the team I got in my minileagues. Played WC this week, and failed now aswell.
