A game for the (fantasy) football die-hards tonight, as Norwich City play host to Sunderland in the Gameweek six finale. Whilst Gary Neville has been fiddling with his gadgets for the best part of an hour, the Dugout Discussion has just opened for the late shift, and if you’ve just tuned in the team news from Carrow Road is as follows…

Norwich XI: Ruddy, Naughton, Russell Martin, Barnett, Tierney, Bennett, Bradley Johnson, Fox, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Morison.

Sunderland XI: Mignolet, O’Shea, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Elmohamady, Larsson, Gardner, Vaughan, Bendtner, Sessegnon.

Both Paul Lambert and Steve Bruce have the rare luxury of naming an unchanged eleven. That means Wes Hoolahan continues in an advanced position, whilst Grant Holt sits on the pine for the Canaries. Big summer signings John O’Shea, Wes Brown and Niklas Bendtner all start for the Black Cats.

    One single comment talked me out of getting Ryan Taylor for GW1, and just one single comment also talked me out of getting Barnett this one.

    I realize I have to weigh the opinions I get here slightly differently, and just clutch my bollocks and go with the gut. (too graphical?)

        Nothing perfect.. There are many good things I found on this site and from posters.

        To reap benefits from this forum, I agree with jamlove that you better have a solid plan and come here just for opinions in the part that I may overlook.

      Have a feeling RVP wont get you more value than Suarez.

      Especially because RVP will lose some of the set piece responsibility to Arteta this season.

      Hold on to your Roon and wildcards though cowboy - that team is ok. Consider doing Enrique to a 4.0 defender perhaps? Maybe from Swansea?

          its not bad. as RVP has good fixtures. but it is more a sideways move.

          if i were you, id focus on moving value from defense to midfield the next couple of gameweeks.

          maybe a setup of 3-4-3 with Bosingwa and 4 cheap defenders rotating?

          at the very least, save the WC for intl break, and see if you can make some cashes

    How can I see all the stats that they use to give bonus points in members area? I can only see the top ten for ict. When I choose stats and all players it doesn't offer option. Do you have to select by defender, midfielder, striker?

    Or am I missing something really simple?

    My shocking team at the moment:

    Krul, Vorm
    Simpson, Bosingwa, Kompany, De Laet, Ward
    Young, Silva, Mata, Moses, Dyer
    Rooney, Adebayor, Dzeko

    1 free trade and 0.4m in bank. Very tempted to knee-jerk and get Nani or Aguero into my team. Any suggestions on what I should do?

      This is a common line-up.

      Nani was the best player to have last year. I think it won't change much this season. Wouldnt it be nice to have him at home to Norwich?

          Good move.

          Players from the same team is not sideways if one is more consistent than the other.

          Young's figures are inflated by 2 'assists' against Arsenal (as well as the ease of goal scoring in that game overall).

      keep it as is. And make 2 transfers next week. Young is on Pens, Dzeko could come good.
      Or if you're willing to give up Rooney you should get RVP or Drogba and upgrade Moses or Dyer

      it looks pretty good to me as is though even with rooney out, you've got Young for United coverage

      Tough one, both have solid potential as wolves look weak ATM and swansea at home seems tight.

      I would start Vorm, home team and I can see stoke getting knocked down a peg after taking 1st points off man u.

    Thinking about using a WC to try to get a strong balanced team and only trade rotate a cheapie dependent on fixtures. How does this squad look?

      If you do that get Schwarzer instead of Given.
      Given/Vorm don't rotate well whereas Schwarzer/Vorm does and for the same price.

      I think Silva is a better option than Aguero...Silva will always give you points. He's so consistent. The only reason he didn't score big in that game against Tottenham is cause Friedel made some great saves. Hit the post against Everton. Really unlucky. He's sure to get goals real soon. And even if he doesn't he always manages an assist. The little spaniard is dangerous

    And he is 354 in the world.

    I am impressed, the starting team he put up for GW1 and in handsight, it was worked soooo well.

      Norwich have a half decent defence. Utd won't score more than 3 without Rooney. Norwich seem game on for the big sides like they showed against Chelsea. I reckon 2-1 to Utd!

            i've got aguero and young so its 50/50 for me. i've debated swapping young to nani but think its a waste of a transfer and i have more pressing matters. plus I think young will come good (and he has more set piece duties)

            One can always trade in and out of Season keeper. That is always goona be more points, though may cost some money.
            I have taken Rooney out for now, will get him in couple of weeks down the line.
            And rememeber, players and manager always downplay the injuries.
            Also United fixtures are not the best, I will get in Rooney at GW11

    My season has been the definition of slow and steady so far. All green arrows to date, including GW ranks over the last 3 weeks of 880k, 940k, and 999k which have catapulted me from ~480k to a lofty 420k. Watch out top 1,000, I'm comin!!! (some time next year)

      need to get rid of senderos and de laet by the looks of things... not sure what to do with moses and brunt... keep brunt due to favourable fixtures? he's already gone down in price, may as well keep him. What about Moses???? I am willing to keep Dyer, need to find someone who rotates with him nicely.... I have around 2.0 mil in the bank if that helps
