A game for the (fantasy) football die-hards tonight, as Norwich City play host to Sunderland in the Gameweek six finale. Whilst Gary Neville has been fiddling with his gadgets for the best part of an hour, the Dugout Discussion has just opened for the late shift, and if you’ve just tuned in the team news from Carrow Road is as follows…

Norwich XI: Ruddy, Naughton, Russell Martin, Barnett, Tierney, Bennett, Bradley Johnson, Fox, Pilkington, Hoolahan, Morison.

Sunderland XI: Mignolet, O’Shea, Brown, Bramble, Richardson, Elmohamady, Larsson, Gardner, Vaughan, Bendtner, Sessegnon.

Both Paul Lambert and Steve Bruce have the rare luxury of naming an unchanged eleven. That means Wes Hoolahan continues in an advanced position, whilst Grant Holt sits on the pine for the Canaries. Big summer signings John O’Shea, Wes Brown and Niklas Bendtner all start for the Black Cats.

Take a pew in the Dugout Discussion, and let’s hope for an entertaining edition of Monday Night Football.

Is the general consensus to keep Rooney while he's injured? I bought him for 12 and if i sold him i would get 12.2

I don't like having all that money tied up on the bench doing nothing, especially as i also have aguero and adebayor and no man u cover. Sell him to fit nani in? Or stick it out?

Definitely wait til Friday at the earliest before deciding. The worst thing would be to sell Rooney, then he plays. You lose money, and you don't have Rooney home to Norwich.

Rooney hasn't even missed a day of training, he was jogging today, so the injury can't be too serious. I would think we'll know by Friday if he's playing, is Fergie really going to waste a mind-game on Norwich?

Midfield of Nani, Mata, Nzogbia, Etherington and Brunt. Looking to remove Nzogbia for a spurs midfielder:
    (a) Straight swap for Modric
    (b) Straight swap for Bale
    (c) Take out Etherington and Nzogbia and replace with VDV + £4.5m midfielder. I Would take out Brunt, but £ limits

    Thoughts?

I'm not, just figure he's likely to be a more consistent points scorer than Modric or Bale. And he's guaranteed to play as not in the euro squad. Only problem is then (c) leaves me pretty limited if any injuries

        (rest of team Given, Hennessey,
        Bosingwa, Kompany, simpson, gabbidon,
        Suarez, Aguero, Lita)

        Bosingwa, Kompany, Jagielka, Simpson, Gabbidon
        Suarez, Aguero, Lita

Fairly happy with rest of team, yes generally 352 - maybe 343 Lita if swans at home. C is my preferred option, Johnson is a good shout.

Need some bloody help lads. Have 1 change for this week, leave my squad as it is? or swap Smalling for someone? (or any other suggestions?) Defence is actually a farce, so strengthening there would be ideal I think. or get rid of O’Hara?

    Kenny, Vorm

Smalling, Ward, Simpson, De Laet, Bosingwa

    Silva, Nani, Taarabt, O’Hara, Dyer

    Rooney, Aguero, Adebayor

Any help would be much appreciated. Some of my decisions have been dogshit over the last few weeks, so could do with some help.

Gonna wait until later in the week to see if Smalling is fit, if he is I may do n.taylor > de laet.

Looking to get Nani or possibly Hernandez in for the Norwich game, how best to do it:

Sinclair to Dyer then? Dyer will keep ticking up and looks every bit as good value as Sinclair to me.

Either that or you'll have to chop Dzeko for one of the cheaper strikers.

Walcott to Nani is the move I'm looking at too btw, and our teams are fairly similar

Suppose Sinclair only really has the pens that make him more valuable but probably not as much as their prices reflect. Feels a bit sideways but it might be worth it to get Nani.

U WCing in the International break? I'm seriously thinking about it, thinking about it to sort my City cover, i.e. Get Aguero and/or Silva, get rid of Brunt, tweak my defence etc.

I'm pretending his performance against Villa was a one off and sticking for now. I am tempted to get Ramsey in some other way though. 6.3m and attacking midfielder for (albeit a bit dodgy) Arsenal side with no real rotation threat.

Anybody considering just riding it out with Rooney? I realise Utd / Nani in particular could run riot this weekend and no other teams have inviting Captain prospects except for Utd, but the International break is after this weekend and it would mean too much tinkering to bring Rooney (who's essential IMO) back into my team!

Yep i have a similar feeling depressing as it is to admit. Trouble is it would leave me without any United coverage at all. I could do Sessegnon & Rooney --> Nani & Adebayor which is also very tempting.

I think that is probably the safer route seeing as i already have Silva. Maybe just pray Samba can keep Aguero quiet although we are leaking goals at the moment

And the idea that he won't play v Norwich so that Fergie can pull him out of the Montenegro game is a red herring - Rooney will play in that if fit, it's a crucial qualifier, not a friendly.
