A poor start to the season saw Tottenham lose heavily to both Manchester clubs but Saturday’s win at Wigan gave Harry Redknapp’s side their third win in a row to move up to sixth in the league. Sandro’s return to the first team following a knee injury saw a change in thinking from the Spurs boss as his team’s shape resembled more of a 4-2-3-1.

Pairing the Brazilian with Scott Parker in the middle, Redknapp moved Luka Modric to a starting berth on the right, giving him license to drift inside, and with Rafael Van der Vaart stationed behind Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Bale produced an outstanding performance wide left as he looked more like the player who won last season’s PFA Player of the Year award.

        Hardly a bargain considering the lucky cheapies or Jones, Enrique etc. BAE stung me badly last year.

        I'd rather have Woodgate, Smalling, Cahill or even Hangeland.

          Well he's over a mil cheaper than Hangeland, in a much better defensive unit than Cahill, more nailed on than Smalling and not made of glass like Woodgate.
          GW 10-16 looks pretty good to me for defensive returns.

    Hey guys, my team is quite shabby at the moment and I badly need help as I am falling behind in my mini-leagues. Here it is:

    Given (Vorm)

    Kompany - Jose Enrique - A Cole (Ward - Brown)

    Sessegnon - Moses - Silva - Cabaye - Sinclair

    Aguero - RVP (Holt)

    2 Million in Bank and 1 free transfer.

    Ok, I know that Cole needs dowgrading and that Sess and Holt should be removed ASAP but I have no notion of playing my wildcard before the international break due to a bed experience with injuries last season.

    What I obviously have to do is get united attacking coverage with just one transfer (I took a 4pt hit last week and dont want to do it again). Nani in for Silva or perhaps Rooney in for Aguero? Please, help would be MASSIVELY appreciated!!

        cant really get much profitable united coverage without taking a hit IMO.
        If you want nani/young/rooney you have no choice

      The last thing you want to do is take Silva or Aguero out I think ... (Givet, Nelsen, Dann, Olsson all not playing)...

      I would either:

      1) Leave it as it is (it really isn't that bad) - then make 2 transfers next week and save your wildcard.

      2) S Taylor and Nani in, A Cole & Sessegnon out

          If Collins doesn't play, Simpson does - it's not the end of the world

          Dzeko may start .. he will almost certainly play some part in the game .. if not, Moses comes off the bench, that's not the end of the world either (especially if Collins doesn't play)

          Who says Sess isn't starting tomorrow? That's just hype on here .. he's pretty likely to play IMO ..

          Your gameweek hinges around your captain choice in my opinion. I seriously wouldn't take an 8 point hit, let alone a 12 point hit so if you're set on making a transfer, I'd just do a.

          Collins, Sess and Dzeko could easily all start tomorrow ....SkySports reckon Collins starts:

    Ok, I'm considering playing my wildcard tonight. Here's my team:

    Given (Vorm)

    Jose Enrique - Kompany - A Cole (Ward - Brown)

    Cabaye - Sessegnon - Silva - Moses - Sinclair

    RVP - Aguero - Holt

    Sessegnon, Cole and Holt are definitely on the way out nut who should replace them? I'll also replace Given with Krul in order to free up some finances and I'm open to downgrading Kompany to someone like Ferdinand for the same reason. HELP PLEEEEEASE!!!

        As a matter of fact, I completely agree with what you said earlier. But if I'm going to take yet another hit tonight then I feel that I could avoid it by getting rid of the deadweight and bolstering my midfield further. There is no way I'm going to ignore your advice as you seem to know what you're talking about and I thank you for that!!

      Similar team to me. I'm tempted to swap Sess for Ramsey next week but if you're downgrading Cole, I'd bring in another big Mid. Slightly week in that department. Nani, Mata, VDV
