A poor start to the season saw Tottenham lose heavily to both Manchester clubs but Saturday’s win at Wigan gave Harry Redknapp’s side their third win in a row to move up to sixth in the league. Sandro’s return to the first team following a knee injury saw a change in thinking from the Spurs boss as his team’s shape resembled more of a 4-2-3-1.

Pairing the Brazilian with Scott Parker in the middle, Redknapp moved Luka Modric to a starting berth on the right, giving him license to drift inside, and with Rafael Van der Vaart stationed behind Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Bale produced an outstanding performance wide left as he looked more like the player who won last season’s PFA Player of the Year award.

In our latest article for Members, we analyse the data from the win at the DW Stadium, as a dominant display saw Bale ranked third overall in our ICT Index ratings for Gameweek 6, behind only Robin Van Persie and Demba Ba.

      Taking a hit to change Suarez to Agbonlahor this week is not needed I reckon so your basically taking an 8 point hit to get Aguero in.
      With Silva, Young, Rooney, Jarvis and Murphy I reckon your already looking good this weekend without dropping 8 points

            I wanted a frontline of Roon Ageuro and either Ade or RVP, but I had a great front three for the first six weeks and it came at a serious cost to my mid.

            this way I've got a bit of balance back. If sturridge doesn't work out there's a range of alternatives for that price like Fletcher/Long/Ba/Best etc.

    on a wc (didn’t have rooney pre wc) so losing cash not an issue

    1. pick rooney (c) and then rooney->rvp for GW’s 8&9
    2. pick rvp, captain nani, and hope rooney doesn’t run riot against Norwich (thus saving transfer)

    Surely has to be option 1 right?

      Yip 1. If Rooney starts, hard not to see him pick up at least 7-10pts. Then again , Nani could do just as well or better. But not having Rooney is akin to crawling naked thru rusty barbed wire - not too desirable. And given your option with the wc, I say 1.

      I can definately see Swansea getting a clean sheet this week with Stoke tired from Europe and not looking particularly threatening in general. Bit of a risk but could pay off.

      Otherwise I think I fancy Newcastle over Liverpool for a clean sheet this week but could go either way.

        He talked of players being dropped, not Sess. The media twisted it to assume Sess.

          true but it frees up money for a future move. Your team looks decent enough this week.

          Sess probably should go but you can't get rid before this home game. Then maybe upgrade him next week
