Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez have both been passed fit to play in tomorrow’s home game with Norwich City.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s press conference has passed and the resultant news is massive for Fantasy managers, with Rooney surely an overwhelming favourite for the armband as United look to get back to winning ways before the two week international break.

“Wayne and Hernandez are fit for tomorrow. They trained very well yesterday, which is pleasing.”

His recovery from a hamstring strain has been swift, then, missing out on just two games- last week’s game at Stoke and the midweek Champions League clash with Basel- with United failing to win either match.

Rooney sits on 43.6% Fantasy ownership but has been sold in the tens of thousands this week, with many assuming Fergie wouldn’t risk him with tough games against Liverpool and Man City just around the corner.

Those who have sold on will be ruing the decision; Rooney has scored in every game this season, racking up 59 points in just five league games and with the game kicking off at 3pm tomorrow, it’ll be a long and uncomfortable Saturday afternoon for those Fantasy managers without his services.

Those who sat tight will no doubt be smiling in anticipation of a possibly substantial points haul already.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I was one of the Rooney traders, in my case for RVP!
Don´t regret my decision at all because I believe RVP will outscore Rooney in the coming GWs and since I already have Nani it´s enough cover for the next MU fixtures.
Yes I agree it was a litle knee-jerk but I´m very pleased with my front 3 RVP-Aguero-Adebayor!

I'm got the same forward line but kept rooney so have him instead of rvp. Yours looks good as well mate but shows in this game you can't second guess anything. I was happy to sit tight on rooney regardles. Can't believe over 150k transferred him out....mad!

It's so difficult - 3 striker spots, with the "big guns" Rooney, Aguero, RVP, Suarez and Adebayor all looking tempting for the mid term!!!

This gameweek is going to be mental... there's going to be a massive group of knee-jerkers captaining Nani / Aguero / Young. Can you imagine if Rooney pulls up after 20mins for a 1 pointer?? It would be utter carnage on here. On the flipside, a Rooney hat-trick could see a lot of managers packing it in this season.

Any other sadsacks out there also have Walcott and/or Dzeko?

What are you doing with these two plonkers?

I can do Walcott > Nani which seems a no-brainer, except that Spurs Arsenal will probably be about 8-8 like usual.

I was thinking same thing about Mertersacker but I have this nagging feeling he is a going 2 score his first goal but I will be more objective and just bench him since Arsenal have a good run of fixtures coming up so plenty of clean sheets for Mertesacker then.

SAF is such a wind-up merchant. I have shipped out Rooney, and I'm not so sad about it - it has allowed me to beef up my midfield - I've been uncomfortable with having a strong forward line and relying on the prima donnas to save my bacon every gameweek.

      My desperate rationalisations are thus:

      a) Rooney doesn't score as many points when Chico's on the pitch, as he plays deeper
      b) I prefer Ade, RVP and Aguero fixtures up untik GW11 anyway

The massive issues obviously is this gameweek home against Norwich. If we can get out this without too much damage, I suggest we're in a decent position.

I'm counting on Nani and Silva coming good in midfield while RVP, Aguero and Agbonlahor hoover up points up front. Hopefully Rooney will miss a penalty before being withdrawn from play due to a loosening of his hair plugs.

Not sure if this is a wind up but if not, firstly unlucky, secondly you'll just have to sit tight now and hope drog does the business as will take another 4pts and would mean rooney would habe to score 8 just to get to a zero starting point

Modric and Bale are playing at home mate.

Modric is a great player but Bale is beter in Fantasy terms. Though 'Arry was playing him on the wing the other day so maybe the difference between the 2 isn't that great.

Meireles fighing a few others for a place in the team, so I'd definitely go Bale.
