Liverpool’s upcoming run of three very favourable fixtures affords Luis Suarez a climb in our updated Watchlist rankings.

Two goals in his last three games have seen the Uruguayan return to form, having previously drawn blanks in the previous three fixtures as the Reds were sent tumbling to defeat at Stoke and Spurs. Steven Gerrard’s return in last Saturday’s game with Man United confirmed Andy Carroll’s game time may be limited; Dirk Kuyt looks a more suitable partner for Suarez up top, making the Uruguayan the only Liverpool Fantasy-classified forward with seemingly assured starts right now.

From Gameweek 9-11 Suarez squares up to (NOR, wba, SWA) and the prospects look enticing. The Canaries have yet to chalk up a clean sheet and have conceded 3 goals at Chelsea and 2 away to Man United- Kenny Dalglish’s side will expect to grab a couple at least here.

The following game at West Brom may be trickier than it looks, though- the Baggies have conceded just one goal in their last three home games but after that, Swansea roll up to Anfield. Brendan Rodgers’ side have shipped an average of 3 goals per game on their travels and the omens look good for Suarez; he’s already scored and picked up maximum bonus points in two of his four games at Anfield this term.

While Champions League football has seen rest and rotation amongst the Manchester clubs, Liverpool’s lack of European competition suggests Suarez is virtually a guaranteed starter. With testing fixtures against Chelsea and Man City to subsequently follow, the Reds will be looking for maximum points beforehand to maintain their chase of the European places.

Suarez, at 9.5 and with 37% Fantasy ownership –the third-highest in the game at present- surely looks set to plunder the Fantasy points over those next three Gameweeks. With such a high percentage of owners, any substantial returns could see those Fantasy managers without his services suffer a tumble down the rankings as a consequence.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Yeah! I was the same, had two freebies, so did Young to VDV and Balloteli to Suarez. Will prob bring Nani in for UTD cover when things look brighter.

he is 50-50 according to AVB and my gut feeling is that if they don't need to risk him (which they don't, with bigger games to come) then he won't start

sometimes you wonder whether the whole thing is a set-up to spite you. suarez had a one-on-one that he missed v bolton, missed almost an open goal against stoke and this weekend missed a sitter against man utd. in all the other games he took those chances

I see the Dubious Goals Panel have now decided that Danny Murphy's goal on 18th September was in fact a Kompany own goal.

It is of course far too late to adjust the scores of FPL teams that contained these players, but will the FPL stats for Murphy and Kompany be changed?

Got to agree. Both have form but while Gabby should get 90, Sturridge, even in an hour, is likely to get more opportunities. Beyond this week the situation is slightly less clear cut - we have Gabby just above Sturridge in the Watchlist.

Santon replaced him not R Taylor at the weekend. Pardew has also recently praised Taylor's performances and the strange success of having a wrong sided lb/rb. He also likes Santon. The concensus is that simpson and santon are now vying for the rb birth.

Unless there is more evidence, I think the accusations are incredibly difficult to prove. It would be a major major thing to charge Suarez, something that would live with him throughout his career in England. The FA will surely need to have rock solid evidence.

I've got him in for this kind run...if he gets 2pt each week over the next three weeks he will never darken my doors again.

I still won't go near Milner after that double gameweek in which he got injured at west ham. I know its not his fault but those scars take more than three seasons to heal.

Mark, just for your interest - my page loading seems to have speeded up a bit, over the last three days ... not sure why ...

    😀

Blimey, it should have speeded up last week. We made some key optimisations before the weekend, although we've still more to do. Has it been slow for you up until three days ago?

Wojciech Szczesny may be a fine goalkeeper, but struggles a little with the rules of table tennis:

A few random questions if anybody has time to answer...

1 I have Rooney, Aguero, Nani and Silva. If I were tempted by RVP and VDV, at which two's expense should it be?

2 Anthony Pilkington..flash in the pan or serious cheap FF prospect?

3 I might need to downgrade Dyer as I'm 0.1 short on a prospective transfer..any thoughts on Joe Allen? 18 points from his last 4 starts

4 SWP..everybody getting rid or anybody keeping him a week or two longer? Not performing but home match on Sun to a side who cant keep cleanies this season

    Thanks in advance

      1. I'd rotate Roo/Agu/RVP over which have the kindest GW's ahead
      2. Well if you're gonna have a >5M midfielder in your team, he's certainly interesting along with the likes of Dyer and Moses.
      3. Allen plays in the mid3 while Dyer is in the front3. Though it looks like Allen is the one getting most forward of the mids. Really depends if the prospect is a decisive one or not.
      4. I'm in the middle of the SWP dilemma...wanna get rid, but not sure its worth a 4pt hit.. Hard to say, but if keep let's hope he is a big occasion player 😉

Thanks Chris! SWP has been a disappointment eh..and consecutive bookings lately haven't helped..trouble is QPR just aren't scoring many goals fullstop and 6.4 is alot of money..but there is so much potential there

Yeah i was really excited by his start at QPR but have grown more and more frustrating..though he's been unlucky not to produce in several games. Think i'm gonna give him a last chance against his old club, lets hope the trend turns around

Still think that Ewald Lienen of Arminia Bielefeld wins the prize for toughness. Just gets straight back up again after a horrific "studs-up" tackle by Norbert Siegmann which tore half his leg open (see video below):

    Afternoon Gents,

Am I crazy if im considering Rooney > Suarez for a 4 point hit?

NOR, wba, SWA vs CITY, eve, SUN

Rooney never does anything against Everton but does have a decent record against City.

    Thoughts please gents

Personally, taking a hit to transfer out any player is a big decision. Taking it for Rooney? A bit rich for my blood. He can produce against anyone and, while I think that Suarez will outscore him this weekend, I'm not sure I'd like to start that punt 4 points down.

    4.0 defenders...

    - Norwich arn't gonna keep a clean sheet all season

    - Gabbidon's injured & QPRs fixtures are 'pure evil'

    - I can't see anyone else not on serious rotation watch apart from... BOYATA. He's surely the best option. Roight?
